In fact, people do suspect marked cards all the time so it’s good to eliminate that idea. Also Spec holds remaining cards so you don’t have eliminate which takes time
Loved the debate about the ESP symbols. Great points on both sides. Personally I'm more inclined to use standard cards markings etc as Craig says, but Ryland made a solid case! You can see where he gets certain debate strategies, lightly pressuring the other party into a pattern of answering questions lol. Ryland realizes he's on the defensive and turns the tide by forcing the question of what backtracking is -- or is it "backpedaling"? ;) Great video

Hi Craig and ryland nice vidéo once again. You says that you don't recomand constructo for a close up situation. Is that true for the appearing of the card only ? Or do you consider that it don't look good for close up situation even on the phase when younunflod the card ?
Possibly with very good audience management you could pull this off, but just like with thread work you have to think about when you are most vulnerable using it. It is indeed highly recommended for stage though. Hope this helps.
All four tricks can’t be examined, yet Entourage gets a pass? Better than Brainwave? Arguable, but what about B’wave, your hidden gem #45 from last year? The spectator actually does see the front and back of the named queen and it’s even more direct, as there’s no seemingly extraneous jokers.
Definitely with Craig on the "amazing notebook" debate. The moment the magician touches the envelope containing the card it ceases to be hands off. And yes the moment I saw the 5 cards in the video I was suspicious of them. So you've got 5 suspicious cards, an envelope that the magician touches with no justification and a notebook that can't be examined (and it's only a 1 in 5 trick). There's nothing to like. I'd use a deck of ESP cards, either marked, or a force of your choice. Can appear more impossible (if there are more symbols or colours). Can use the deck for multiple tricks or phases, and there are various available at a fraction of the £36+ that Amazing Notebook sells for. Oh and I hate the way the different symbols are drawn with different thickness lines. Makes it look unprofessional.

It’s not advertised as a close up trick so the fact that it’s not optimal for close up isn’t really a negative. Ultimately i agree that a simple index production is just as good and maybe better because of examinability. The strength of this is the very minimal pocket space.
