That would work, too. The matchstick is strong enough, though. I proved that by dangling the whole parcel shelf on one bit of string. Best wishes from CarSpyTV.
Another practical solution. I also find the use of Blu Tack very useful on certain bits on the interior and exterior of cars as it can be a lot, lot stronger than most people realise and it copes with very hot and freezing conditions. I've just realised why you're so keen on keeping the green-thing, it provides so much material for repair videos. 😆
@@CarSpyTV I've paid £2 a can at the NEC but normally buy from a shop, topically, £10 for three at Wilco last time, but I gave away two cans out of that so now have almost run out again. I had a caged nut on a rad shroud held in place by a matchstick held by blue tac for many years.
l love these "thinking outside of the box" fixes. Thank you Stephen. It's been a while but I'm slowly catching up with all your uploads. BTW did you and Mrs Car Spy watch the Popmaster Final last week on the telly. I thought the lady that won truly deserved to win.
Hi Mark. Gaffer tape never fails! Mrs CarSpyTV and I missed Popmaster, but we recently uploaded our own quiz that was filmed in the Micra. She did annoyingly well! Hope you’re well.
Where would we be without matchsticks and gaffer tape!! What a great repair idea. So simple yet effective.
Gaffer tape solves 99% of the world's problems!
@@CarSpyTV Why not use something a bit stronger than a matchstick, such as a Nail, A Screw etc?

Very good. Cheap, quick and effective repair. Brilliant.
Thanks. 👍

You got me! In other news, a courier delivered a parcel today. It's a new can of GT85!
Wise words, AX!
@@CarSpyTV just the one can ! ? A mate claims to have see 3 cans for £6 including P&P, never seen it myself.
I wish! Paid £4.79 delivered. Obviously though, in reality it's priceless.

Great tip Stephen. What did you have for dinner! 😅
A small bowl of thin gruel, Matt. Mrs CarSpyTV hid my chips!
@@CarSpyTV I’m sure this gruel will be great as a replacement for body filler :p
