- This video shows you how to customise your car settings. The car being used is a 2009 corsa d. I believe most corsa ds and potentially other vauxhalls from 2008 onwards can be compatible to these settings. Thanks for watching🙂🚘
Not sure if everyone knows but if you hold lock or unlock button on your key it will open or close all the windows, handy on a hot summer day before you get into car

I have a Vauxhall corsa Sri 1.4 2015, how can I close all my windows when I hold the lock button on my key?
@@faisalislam7156 you just push and hold the "close" or the "open" button on your key.
The "automatic rear wiper" option only kicks in if you have the front wipers on and you put the gear lever into reverse. So there shouldn't be any screech in summer cos presumably you're only using the front wipers if it's raining.
That explains a lot. Thanks. I was wondering why my son's key unlocks all the doors when mine doesn't and also that when he's driving the doors automatically lock whereas it didn't when I was driving... Mystery solved.
Holding the door unlock and door lock button down is something I've learnt too.

👍…these are in the hand book … I had a 58 Reg it had awesome indicator stork’s, working spot on… now Vauxhall are Peageot Citroen they back to 60’s design..!

I just bought the 1.2 Corsa Active, this info is brilliant, esp P5 as the passenger door requiring 2 clicks to open has been annoying! 👍🏻😁

As a female, I personally like this feature especially when getting into my car on at night in a car park or a side road or just a sketchy location in general as it makes me feel safe knowing some creep isn’t gonna try come into my car from one of the other doors. I heard many horror stories from friends about people jumping into their cars from the back doors especially so it’s a great safety feature!

@@simplyleekii I agree I live in a bit of sketchy area, and sometimes I have to park my car on the opposite side of the road due to having multiple cars at the house. And I usually unlock my car when I’m quite far from it, and knowing no one can get it on the other side where I can’t see just puts my mind at ease

Aha no problem mate its only little things but you notice the difference especially with that one
Love the lights on with the unlock. Also. If on your keys, if you hold them the open button down when unlocking the car it fully opens all windows. And if you get out the car and forget to shit them, if you hold the lock button down it’ll auto close all the windows. This is so handy. My kids think I’m magic when I do this haha. The undo window is great when walking back to car on a hot day and windows down before even getting in the car

I can only get my windows up and not down with my key from the outside, my corsa is from 2007. can someone help me with that

How would it beeping at 80mph help you not get a speeding ticket when the highest speed limit is 70mph?
All theses things that have been mentioned is all in the car handbook that no one bothers to read.
P2: When reverse is selected the rear screen wiper will not wipe unless front wipers are active 🙂
Hiya mate I'm unsure what that could be. Maybe check your wiring is all in good condition. Also some cars don't have the automatic reverse feature so that could be the case.
@@BrakesWheelsAutomobiles Its not a fault, its so the rear wiper only comes on in reverse when its raining :-)

My corsa d indicators sound has stopped along with the seat belt warning and the hand brake warning. It's been making a screechy sought if noise for a while but no stopped completely. Any ideas on how to fix please. Thanks 👍
Hiya mate. Have you tried the hidden setting to adjust indicator volume? Sounds like an electrical issue somewhere along the line. Maybe check the fuse box to start with as that will be cheapest.
Try plugging in a code reader and see what comes up. Could also be water damage on an area of the electrics this time of year (ecu, fuse box, wiring).
Also what sort of screechy noise? Do you mean the hand brake or just car in general? When is the squeeking happening? Could be a handful of things starting with potential worn brakes.
Same as mine also have issue with clock not always staying on and engine keeps going in limp mode with miss fire code due to low fuel 😆
Hello!! This is such a helpful video! I just got this car as my first car and am struggling to find out how the cruise control works/if there is one. Do you know how it works/if it works on your one. I think we have the same original design!
Hiya I'm glad to help. Tbh my spec doesn't have the cruise control but I know that some of them do. If you search for a channel called toms driveway I do believe he fitted cruise control to one that didn't have it but also if you forward to the end will show you to use it I do believe. Hope this helps
Twist the end of the indicator stalk towards you when you are at the speed you wish to cruise at

Some great tips very informative I am going test to see if this menu got transfered over to the 2009 vectra of mine i like the idea of the lights coming on and I'm really getting annoyed with the double key press to open the whole car

I turned on P1, lights on when unlocked, but I have to press the key once to unlock the car then press it again to turn on the lights. Do you know why is that?
These settings used to work for me untill today they all stopped working. Does anyone know how to fix them ?

You'll need an opcom and a new indicator stalk mate. I'd like to it at some point but no anytime soon i don't think. Should be fairly easy. Just swap the stalks and then programme it in.
There's actually a channel called toms driveway. He stopped posting a few years ago but has one video on how to do it. Seems pretty easy

Hi i wanted to buy a 2009 -2012 Vauxhall corsa what is the highest mileage j should buy one on. Please let me know i am about to buy one it has 70,683 miles it is the 1.2 petrol 2008
Depends what your paying for it mate but tbh that's not bad mileage atall. Mines on 87k and iv heard of them on 140k. Just make sure there's no leaks or anything and should be OK

I have a a 5 door 2014 corsa do you have any back speakers that work? I have speakers but only the front ones work just wondering if it’s a common Vauxhall fault/ “fake speakers” front ones work fine

Hiya mate it all depends on what spec you have. Iv got the life so its basic spec. So they are fake in the back. Not sure if yours will have it but some years have the wiring already set up.

I dont think so. The door latch is completely mechanical not electrical so shouldn't interfere with any settings 🙂
I don't have P5 also.:( I have problem witlh locking the doors. Ex i lock the doors with the key and somehow the back door wont lock. I try to use locking with the key but same happens. I have 2011 corsa D. Do ypu maybe know what is the problem:(

Hiya. I'm guessing you mean the main one in the roof? Could be a fuse blown but the most likelihood is the bulb has just blown. You can pick them up for a few £s on ebay

Not sure how to turn them in but I know in a lot of basic spec corsas they don't have any in the back and it is just an insert so would need new ones putting in. So make sure there is definitely some speakers in the door card
I have an astra H. Radio settings you can change where the sound comes out of..front/back and or left/right. Not sure on the corsa model.

Yes mate in the back it does. Not electric though you've got todo it manually with your key

Could be different to mine mate its a small circle with an arrow around it just below where the door locks in. I can't send a pic of it on here but if you Google corsa d child lock 2007 in images it'll show you where it needs to be
