It's just stupid how much more I learn from your videos than I do in class. I have had to take math, something I utterly loathe, a lot because of my degree and I kept coming back to your videos. May you live forever on the internet :)
Thank you so much!! I am in a college algebra class of 300 students...our professor is great, but the class fast paced and the TA's in the discussion suck! Great video that I will be adding to my notes....Thanks again!
Thank you SOOOO much! I was absent this week because I was sick and this helped me understand this function better than if I had been at school! Great Teaching!
I just really wanted to thank you for all that you do in general it really has helped me out a lot. I have a test tomorrow with this being a main portion of it and up until now i didn't really understand how to do it. Once again thank you and i know i will be using your video's again someday haha
ah you are a life saver! i really needed this, i was getting so depressed because i couldn't figure out how to do this. much better explained than my professor!!! thank you so much again! :D
Thank you! I have a project where we have to graph our initials and have to use at least 4 different functions and I was so confused on how to graph an F with a step function because I thought it was wrong. Thanks for helping
god these are hard- ty so much for the video. i was so frustrated trying to figure out how to translate line segments and this is exactly what i needed.
thank you!! my calc professor considered this a "review" so he flew through it. i understood this in high school calculus but now it's like this is totally new to me D:
thank you so much for this! but could you please, also make an example where there is a function for a parabola. thanks! and how you'll plot the parabola in the graph.
if you are reading from a textbook, they usually make the open circles nothing, so it looks like just arrows. just treat them like open circles ( less than or greater than )
hey, patrick your videos are great.. they are straight forward and clear.. I see that lots of people agree with me too Lol now I think it's easier to learn over youtube than from my math teacher.. haha
that's the same thing, but you're right, smart people use m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) ( my teacher said so). If you dont see it, just multiply the both side by (x2-x1), you'll get (y2-y1)=m(x2-X1)

This is damn-near the same exact problem where I found you for help. The RUclips math gods were looking down. Thank you so, so much.
You're so good at breaking down the problem for me to understand. Thank you!

@Aslan77728 that is the slope of a line, you are correct. not sure where i violate that though.
@Alexvreidy anytime !
Thanks so much! My instructor expected us to know this and yet he never gave any indication. Thanks so much.

my precalculus professor needs to take some lessons from you..thanks for sharing..
You explained this so much more thoroughly than my accel math teacher. thank you so much!
Bro, you just saved me hours of staring a piecewise functions. Easy explanation. Thanks!

You're amazing that last example I couldn't find any videos on
Thank you so much, I understood it better than I did in class
thank you so much for this! but could you please, also make an example where there is a function for a parabola. thanks! and how you'll plot the parabola in the graph.
oh yea! glad to help my friends!
if you are reading from a textbook, they usually make the open circles nothing, so it looks like just arrows. just treat them like open circles ( less than or greater than )

You replying in your own videos? Lol. I replied because I'm only 5 years old when you commented this.

special thanks bro, god bless you
Thanks, man! You saved my but in my homework xP
Thanks for the lecture sir I like it
currently taking pre-calc at West Valley College
watching in 2021 and i found this very usefull
This makes me wish I had taken an online course instead of having to suffer through my teachers lessons.
I always accidentally call it a Piece One function in class, thinking about One Piece. And I never even watched the damn show 😂
Literally saved my life
I love you you saved my grade
that's the same thing, but you're right, smart people use m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) ( my teacher said so). If you dont see it, just multiply the both side by (x2-x1), you'll get (y2-y1)=m(x2-X1)
I defined the function as -x+2 for -2
You saved me!! Thank you!!!!
For the open circle, what makes a point "not included in the graph"?
Very good video. Thanks
thanks for posting this
thank you so much, this is really helpful.
Very Helpful!
