Three lovely summer makes. I like the style of the skirt. I have struggled with Style Arc patterns before! The green Lyra dress with all the buttons is beautiful And the fabric was such a bargain 😊
Love all your makes as always Sally! I almost bought the Taika dress pattern 😊 seeing it on you, but I stopped myself at the checkout realizing as you say I have so many patterns I own already, I honestly shouldn't be buying anymore. I was on track for making a few jackets but then noticed I wasn't feeling the inspiration so I put my fabrics and pattern away for another day. I pulled out the Kimono Sleeve tunic pattern by Warabi that I've had around for a while. I love this pattern! I'm making it up in a very light silk/cashmere I bought years ago from Linda Lee. I have this idea to wear it as a light covering for cooler days. I like the idea of throwing something over my head that will hold together yet have a nice loose flow. You could make this pattern up in almost anything - even a wool for an over-garment for much cooler weather. I'm excited about this pattern ☺
That sounds like a lovely, very useful pattern your version sounds like it would be a good wardrobe staple. Maybe making something up like that will give you the inspiration to try your jackets again 😊 xx
Wow, so many lovely makes! I love the lyra, I made one before Christmas but it doesn't seem to fit quite right in the arms. I need to have a play about and make another, now that I've seen yours!
Great makes, roll on summer! When it comes to elastic waistbands I find that if I choose my size based on the hip measurement everything works perfectly, for me anyway….I hate the sizing lottery with patterns! Great makes Sally, inspirational. 💛
Really enjoyed this video today Sally. Your makes are beautiful and I really love how you have the confidence to try different things to adapt the patterns to what you want. Only hope I can be half as good a seamstress as you one day. 😊
Aw thank you it all just comes with trial and error I think, the more I’ve made the more I see how things work haha. Thanks so much for watching I’m glad you enjoyed it xxx
Loved all of your makes today . I have just bought some of the viscose challis from rainbow fabrics and they gave me a generous discount so thank you Sally.
Beautiful garments, stunning prints! 😍 The skirt is particularly gorgeous, I think the flat front/elasticated waist combination is so comfy and easy to wear, I use it often on both skirts and trousers. I love your "romantic" vibe for summer 😊
Thank you so much! I love the skirt and it’s nice to have a skirt as a change from all my dresses 😂 I agree flat front elastic back is lovely and more flattering I think isn’t it. Thanks so much for watching xx
I have a number of style arc patterns but when your weight fluctuates or when you’re losing weight it’s not helpful. I really wish they would put all sizes on. Great fabric on your skirt. Looks like a great pattern. I would email them and ask them about the waistband. The Taiko versus the Lyra…interesting. Your Lyra looks great and I think the button placement is better than the Taiko. Very successful! Well done. I just realised I have a bag of buttons somewhere so thanks I’m going to fund them
Ah yes that’s not helpful is it, I’m not sure if they have an option for all sizes. Yes you’re right I could email them couldn’t I. I love both the Taika and Lyra but did notice a bit of gaping with the buttons on the Taika which I’ll need to sort haha. They both have different options which I like. Thank you for watching xx
I've bought multi-size patterns from style arc. The paper format patterns are on Amazon (in USA) and have 2 size bands available. The whole catalog isn't on Amazon, but I've appreciated getting multiple size options. Especially because their PDF patterns are separate files for each size. Very frustrating when you need to grade between sizes! Also you might try looking at their RUclips channel. They have tutorials for some of their patterns. Hope that helps you.
What a lovely collection Sally the colours are beautiful. I am going to have a go at the Style Arc skirt I like there patterns and usually size down what do you think.x
Thank you so much! Yes based on the size chart I should have gone for an 8 but I could have made a 6 it’s weird isn’t it. I think with elastic waist there’s a bit of wiggle room isn’t there x
I’d maybe say size by your hip measurement. Someone suggested I do that next time and it made sense as I found the waist a bit large this time. Otherwise I still haven’t figured out their waistband attachment method so overlock the back section and attach then attach the sides as neatly as you can haha x
Love your makes. Fab dresses just beautiful 🙌❤️💙💜
Thank you so much 😊 xx
I love both those dresses! Fabulous! I wish I wasn't so scared of doing buttons and buttonholes!
Thank you! I don’t mind buttonholes but I hate zips it’s funny isn’t it. Practice thought, the more you do it the less scary they become xx
I love both of your dresses.and your skirt.
Thank you so much xx
Beautiful makes! I love all the viscose fabrics 😍
Thanks so much for watching 💗
I Love that green dress, it is very pretty!!
Thank you, the print is so pretty I'm glad I could make it more wearable :). Thank you for watching xx

Three lovely summer makes. I like the style of the skirt. I have struggled with Style Arc patterns before! The green Lyra dress with all the buttons is beautiful And the fabric was such a bargain 😊

Oh that’s a shame. I think there has been a couple of people that find the arms sit quite far back. Definitely give it another try I’d say 😊 xx
