I've a query for students. While entering number of days in kiosk at Toronto airport, how many days should a student enter who has a program of 16 months but the offer letter says the program completion date as 20 months and the visa date is of 4 months later, i.e., total 24 months?

My husband is going to complete his studies by this august 2022.and now I got my PPR ,since I am an employee I can't go there now.Whether he can apply for PGWP and whether my visa is valid then also .As per the communication he got he is having a valid study permit till April 2023 .I can go there after 3 months only. Your immigration should be done in Toronto because that's your port of entry into Canada. You will most likely have to pick your luggage in Toronto and check in again before your flight to Calgary

Its better if you can try to get a flight that has a longer layover. It might be difficult to make it in time because of the delays in immigration processing and baggage collection

Usually airlines do not weigh the cabin bag. It really depends on them. Nothing is for certain. But you should be fine with a small bad and a laptop bag.
The trimmer can be in the check-in bag but any batteries or power banks need to be in the carry on bag

Hey! I’m also travelling same as you! As of the bags, I also had One checkin and one cabin bag! So I paid extra ₹6368 for the other checkin bag during the booking!
Now in total I’ve 2 checkin bags, 1 cabin bag and 1 personal item!

I am moving to Canada as well … I think the minimum requirement for the vaccine is 2 doses booster is optional whereas rtpcr is not required now-a-days, what they do is a random test every now and then … but you can still carry one if you are unsure .. honestly speaking I will carry one .

Did you need a visa/transit visa for layover. When is a visa for layover country required? What is a self transfer?Will a visa be it required for a self transfer?
Every country has a different requirement for layover. I did not require any because I visited only 1 Schengen country and that too for less than 12 hours. Check for your case.

for student visa you need to show your passport , letter of acceptance and answer some basic questions like duration of studies ,any relative or friend in canada , maybe about whos sponsoring you
