You really can't compare them to what you would get in Canada as it would be specifically made for that country and decathlon makes them mostly according to Indian snow.

Jackets from decathlon are not for canadian winters. Quality is also not good.
Be careful as a renter you shouldn't have to shovel the snow. Make sure your lease doesn't require you to do that.
