Yeah, feel the pain when I am watching the vlog. I completed the Way 2 years ago and the 2nd day was a killer. But you did it and congrats to ya both.

Thanks so much for this video series. So good to see people walking and using B and B’s as I plan to do the same but everyone else seems to camp 😝 will be watching the series more thoroughly and taking notes!

Thanks so much. There were plenty we met along the Way, who were wild camping. Rather them than us. Needed the bed at the end of each day if nothing else.

The walk around Loch Lomond is the hardest section of the whole walk in my opinion, but the Rowardennan Youth Hostel is an oasis. I had my first ever experience of sleeping in a dormitory there and actually the sound of ten or so other blokes snoring didn't put me off 😎

So glad you felt the same. Day 3 remains to this day, the day we don't talk about. 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 As for the Youth Hostel, we could see just how it would feel in times of normality with the communal areas and the feeling of camaraderie you must have felt when staying there. Hopefully we'll return one day when this has all lifted.

My wife and I are loving this series already. Reminds me of our first long walk on coast to coast. You are both so normal and show what it’s really like when you’re a bit unsure of what you’re doing.

That looked a very tough day. 15 miles of ups n downs is a real slog, not sure I got that in me these days. Great to see going up that hill you still maintained a sense of humour, for anyone who has walked and knows that feeling of "not another hill" will know exactly how it feels.. great that there is two of you doing it to push & encourage each other onwards, great effort I enjoy the fact you both share the talking to camera duties & both do it very well. You both love a beer innit :) Wondered what you are using to film your trip, the sound is very good also. atb Al

Ah thanks, Al. I think sense of humour is probably the most important thing you need tk remember to pack. 😂
Everything other than the drone footage was filmed surprisingly on the DJI Osmo Action. Inbuilt mic too. I did a review on it as a clogging camera on my tech channel here: ruclips.net/video/-pm_TB7gtW4/видео.html
That said, we're off to Snowdon very soon and we've added a small Shotgun Mic to the top just to see if we can cut down on wind noise.
I've love to bring the Rode Wireless Go 2's but seeing if the shotgun works enough to avoid having to pack anything further that needs charging. 🤷🏻😂

Thank you for highlighting how difficult that's part is. We're taking our 11 &13 year old to do it next Easter & camping each night. I've split our first 3 days into Day 1 = 12m to Drymen Day 2= 7.5m to Balmaha & Day 3= 7.5m to Rowardennan so we're not having to do the 2nd part after Conic hill all in 1 go as I'd heard it was tough but noone seems to mention it other than you. I'm glad I've split it up now. Great filming you two & great drone shots too. I look forward to day 3 x

Hi Niks - I just did the first three days as you are planning to do and it's a good choice. Helps that that these videos are so honest; no sugar coating the facts.

Thanks. When researching our trip we found that no one mentioned much about the route especially for non walkers like us so we promised ourselves to be as real and Imfortative as we could be so thank you for your comment.
