A little about us We are Emma and Adam and are originally from Liverpool, UK. We have emigrated to Zakynthos, Greece where we are based full time with our 2 cats! We are in our late 30s and early 40s and come from an entertainment-based background. Years ago, we caught the travelling bug after working onboard cruise ships and travelling the world for our jobs. Although we are pretty well-travelled and accustomed to life abroad there are loads of places still on our bucket list and we plan to spend our 30’s and 40’s getting there! We run a media/content business providing Videography services for commercial and also weddings on the island of Zante.

Hey. So, it was really something that we were concerned about. Adam mainly but yeah, it was something that worried us. Needless to say, absolutely no problem whatsoever. Yeah, it takes a little getting used to and wing mirrors adjusted for looking further on the blindside. Other than that, having a passenger really saved the pain that could have been the toll booths but yeah, I wouldn’t worry about it at all. 👌🏻

Have you considered the ferry from Venice or Ancona to Patras, then the short drive down the E55 to Kyllini ?
Yes. We looked at all ferry options but out of our budget sadly. Around 300 to 450 euro unfortunately 😭
Italian motorway tolls are not cheap either

I understand that you have taken your car to Greece. Since the standard driving abroad insurance coverage for your car is 90 days, what did you do to extend this? I am looking to take my UK car to Greece with me for an extended period of time 6mo - 12mo. Do you have any advise on extended driving aborad insurance?
Hey there. So I checked with out UK insurer and they advised that we were covered for 12 weeks abroad as standard with out policy. However, if it looked like we were going to go over that time, I could call and they would add another 12 weeks. We knew we were going to be returning it to the UK to sell within that initial period, so there was nothing else we needed to do.
Advice-wise, I'd contact your insurer and be upfront about what your plans are and see what products they offer that would cover you. You may find that nothing really needs to be added to the policy and that they just have to tick a different box for the time you'll be away.

it's North Macedonia just like North Korea is North and not just Korea, because there is a South Korea too just like there is a Macedonia in Greece and from this video you say that you pass by Thessaloniki which is the capital of the modern day Macedonia, so please try to be respectful and not just come to our country and spit us in the face, am pretty sure you are not dumb people.
Hey there. Thanks so much for your comment. If we've said anything in the video to cause offence (as it seems from what you've written that we have), we can assure you no offence was meant. As I'm sure you can appreciate, we can't fully research and understand the historic and political connotations of each and every town and city we're going to be driving past/through on a 4,000km+ drive. As we love to travel, we love to learn about countries and cultures different to our own. Thanks for the heads-up. You've given us even more to research and enjoy. 😁👍🏻🙏🏻
Thessaloniki is capital of nowhere. The region of Macedonia is not a country, it’s a geographical area and cannot have a capital. The country of north Macedonia has a capital because it is a country. Don’t mix it with the region. There is only one capital and that is Athens. North Korea and South Korea are two different countries so are not comparable to Greece and north Macedonia. Please learn the difference before you get rude to ppl.

@@vassilisioannou5488 Epirus is not a country Macedonia is not a country. So none of them can have capitals. If you wanna believe that Macedonia is something more than a country to satisfy your ego feel free to do that. For the educated people Athens is the only capital of country of Greece.
