Anytime you sit down and talk about experiences-when it’s just YOU being you and explaining opinions, describing… I love it. Your honesty is so helpful-like a conversation w a close friend. Thank you!
Thank you - that means a lot! ❤
I was thinking just the same thing!
Totally agree..
So true...love the sitdown n talk videos!
My favorite packing tips…
I pack a week before because I’m a chronic overpacker. Over the week leading up I will take things out, and for anything I wanna put in, I take two things out.
And for the flight, wear a panty liner. Halfway through the travel day/s, take it off. Voila! Fresh underwear.
Same about me growing up and not being able to travel. When my sister got her masters, I just got married but I went with her to Europe. Now at 56 I am so glad I did that! I feel like in Europe walking is big over driving your own car. And in Paris the Metro takes you everywhere :)
I live in Copenhagen and I am so glad you enjoyed your trip here♥
So far, Copenhagen is my favorite city. ❤ I’ve been there 8 times, and counting.
Good morning Michele! Do I see a new piece of art leaning on the wall behind you? 😀😀😀 Love hearing about your travels!
Good eye! 😊
I was in Paris in November and you would definitely not need or want to drive in Paris. The Métro will get you anywhere and Uber and G7 taxis are all good alternatives. I was nervous about using the Métro before my trip (Midwest girl who can count on one hand the use of public transportation) but I considered it an integral part of the Paris experience and am so glad I did it.
I haven't been able to travel since covid so your travels are so very special and have become my list of goals. When I used to travel so much, Ib relied on two things -- my noise cancelling headphones which make planes bearable and a big but very light nordstrom brand cashmere scarf that IB can roll up and stuff in my carryon -- on the plane, it can be a pillow when rolled up, or a cushion if the seat hurts my back or a blanket and in hotels, it's a cozy touch of home. Everything else is optional 😂
One tip I have from business travel is if I wasn't carrying on, I would have an outfit in my one carry on in case me luggage was lost.
I always enjoy watching your chit chat videos as well as your vlogs. Thanks so much for sharing your trips.
It's an absolute pleasure to experience the world through so many different cultures 😍💚🌈
Sooo excited for this video! Thank you Michele! Now I’m going to watch ♥️♥️
Great video. Thanks for sharing your experiences so helpful
We always tip in Europe and everybody is thankful and happy😊
Rounding up is fine, but tipping really isn’t needed. America has a tip structure based from the end of slavery, and not wanting to pay for service. It then became a way for employers not to pay the staff a fair wage, and leave it to customers to pay extra. Europeans are paid for their work. If you’re paid as a construction worker, you wouldn’t expect a tip at the end of the day. Over time, in some countries, service people are putting tip jars out, but it annoys the residents, and it’s only targeting Americans. So, it’s not fair.
Wonderful vlog!
Thank you and thank you for sharing your travels with us.
I so enjoy your channel. You are so down to earth and relatable! You have the perfect variety of content.
You have the most pleasant voice! I really can relax when I listen to you.
This was fun. I really enjoyed your sit down and talk. I’m getting ready for Italy and I’m so excited. I was intimidated to travel when I was younger but the more you do the easier it gets. ❤
Your goat had "gemelli"?...they are adorable!! The Church overlooking the ocean was beautiful!! Thank you for sharing!! Looks like a beautiful life for your family!!
I loved your vlogs Michele! I am inspired to go to Copenhagen!
Michele, love hearing about your trips & tips!! I think once one starts traveling you get bit by the traveling bug at least I did. I haven’t done any travel outside the country since Covid so I look forward to starting back up. Copenhagen definitely on my list and after hearing how nice it is from your experience. Great tips on jet lag, not driving if you can take their public transportation, staying at nice hotels (always nice to come back after day of sightseeing to a hotel you feel comfortable in), noise canceling headphones on plane. Thank you for sharing your trip experiences. 😊❤️
I found the Parisians very friendly when you actually learn a bit of French and don’t expect them to speak only English to you.
Great video, thanks a lot. Copenhagen is definitely my favorite European City.
Enjoyed this, just got back from Egypt.
Love ur travel vlogs & story time, lady. ❤️🙏🏼😘😘😘Sandy
Thank you this vlog and especially for extra tips for Kopenhagen. Going for a bikeride🚲
Oh Michele yes, please take the opportunity to travel when you can. I’m nearing retirement and plan to travel quite a bit after I do. I might need to upgrade to the Platinum card to get the perks if I’m going to do that much traveling 😂
I had the Rimowa Hybrid and it was damaged so that it wouldn't seal closed after it's first trip. I noticed that many people came into the Rimowa shop in Paris with their large Rimowa suitcases for repair. So now for check in luggage, I use less expensive brands that are not hard sided.
You réálly should nót drive yourself in Paris! The metro is very easy and has the same system as London. You check the colour of the line and the end station. Going to Copenhagen this month and Paris in april (is 2,5 hrs by train). To travel is life! Thx for your Q&A ❤
Prepandemic we would always take public transportation in big European cities. Since then, we tend to take Uber or Taxis, and do a lot more walking. We tend not to do our own driving as we are not used to tight streets, limited parking, and agressive driving.
I did a lot of traveling when younger (I’m about to turn 41 on April 1st!!!) for which I’ll always be grateful to myself for doing. I personally would love to see you go to Barcelona. I’ve lived there. It’s a fascinating metropolis! Thanks again for sharing your travels, Michele. It was magical❣️❣️✨✨
PS-u should definitely watch the show “The Bear” if u haven’t. It’s on Hulu & one of the chefs on the show travels to Copenhagen on season two. Great show, too. ❤
Hey Michele! 💜💜💖
Esmee is amazing, their ice/desserts are always divinely delicious 😋 Glad you enjoyed my city 🇩🇰❤️
Good morning Michele, this video is so timely. My plan after seeing your Copenhagen vlog was to spend my birthday (this month) there, however, a dear friend and colleague is getting married in Korea in June so I decided to scrap Copenhagen so I could attend her wedding. I spent a month in Japan 2017 and loved it so much was making plans to return fall of 2019, but we knew how the world started to go down hill in 2019 so I never made it back. So now my plan is spend 2 weeks in Japan end of May before heading over to South Korea for a month in June. I’m super excited and am immersing myself in as much as I can about traveling in South Korea. ❤❤❤
Iv just booked my big trip for this year from uk to New york then onto Memphis then onto Vegas. I'm really looking at the background of your videos when your out and about ready for vegas I can't wait!!! Xxx
I'm Australian and doing vegas, memphis, new orleans and Bahamas...... been to vegas before but can't wait to do gracelands in memphis ❤
Just back from Paris, and there's definitely no reason to drive in central Paris. 😮 Everyone we met was friendly there and we did the best with little French we knew. Very cordial.
Hi Michele, you need the platinum card to be able to get the hotel perks through fine hotels and resorts program. Platinum is a great travel card!
Hi Michele x x can you please do an episode on your perfumes , your faves for the season upcoming summer season etc x x x
Hello Michele I just got back from Paris and Madrid! I did bought the space saver’s packing because of your blog, it was amazing . Oh you have to visit Madrid I highly recommend. You will love it!
Love your videos
Cheers from Dominican Republic
I’m leaving to Thailand and Japan next week for vacation 😊
Copenhagen went many tears ago but don’t remember the food but loved the city next time I go will eat
Thank you for your insight! I'm in my early 30s and have yet to travel abroad and I feel so behind
I made several UK to US trips per year and didn't get jet lag on the UK to US leg, even though I'd be up 24 hours, in some cases but going back to the UK on the overnight flight, with maybe 2 hrs sleep was always hard but yes, never nap. I would go to bed around 7pm that night (2pm US time) and sleep through until 8am with no issues. x
I really enjoyed this video. i agree with you. The cost of first class is prohibitive. I always travel comfort plus and pay extra for an aisle seat which is fine. I am a big culprit for always overpacking, which makes it more difficult to move the luggage. I'm slowly learning. I was recently in London and found it very expensive - like $125 per person for afternoon tea and crumpets. I also try to stay in hotels that include breakfast. It takes a lot of the hassle out of having to figure out what to do for breakfast. I've never been to Asia and it is on my bucket list. I am also dying to go to Cuba which Tauck now reinstated. I love dog sledding - did it in Telluride - a once in a lifetime experience. Getting motion sick is a drag - I also take Dramamine as a preventive measure. Did all your clothes that got wet from the snow dry out sufficiently before you had to repack them? Also, I know I've asked before but I would love to see a video about Las Vegas recommendations as I go there a couple of times of year. It would be great to hear it from an insider such as yourself, like is it worth the additional money to stay at the Wynn?
Sounds like you enjoy "quiet cuisine".
Come to Spain next, Michele, you’d love it here ❤
So excited!! I’m coming to Spain in 3 weeks!!!!
Hi! I'm from Spain and I just wanted to say that in Europe you don't have to tip because people gets salaries but you can give them if the service was great.
Platinum only. That’s why it’s worth it.
I loved hearing your experience! I'm heading to Paris and all over Italy in the Spring! This was a good insight on what to expect and for one day when I get the chance to explore the Nordic countries. Just beautiful places. The world is so beautiful. ❤
Ps. How was your experience with Air Canada?
As a Canadian, I'll take them if there is no other better airline but, they wouldn't be my first choice. 😆
You should pay Lisbon a visit one day, it’s not as charming and posh as London or Paris, even Rome, but it does have its appeal, not very expensive - at least for tourists- and it’s not a huge city.
P.S: but we do have have luxury stores around here 🙂
Your trip sounds great. Copenhagen sounds fantastic. Even in India/Nepal everyone speaks english. I’ve travelled all around India in my own for 3 months and it was fabulous. That was years ago, now it’s even more developed. My partner is always overseas for work (tv cameraman) and he just got back yesterday at 9am after traveling for 24 hrs (we live in Aus and everywhere is far away) so had to stay awake all day until he could sleep. He will literally force himself to stay awake. If he slept when he wanted to he would have been awake all night and then it takes longer to adjust, and he’s back at work tomorrow so he didn’t have the luxury to do that.
Hey Michele can you please share your iPhone video setting when you vlog with it? Thanks! 12:35
Super interesting, Michele. While watching and listening to this educational travel video, I noticed you have another picture to hang on the wall behind you. Am I right? 😊
Really hoping you review the Natasha Denona face palette. It looks right up your alley since the shadows are designed to be one and done.
Btw I meant to write this way back for your zodiac video: I too am a Virgo with many planets in Leo who’s married to a Taurus. You and I have the same body type and even shoe size. Did I mention I am also named Michele?
Twins!
Good morning beautiful
So timely for my travel plans soon. 🫶🏻
Hi. Did you need the red bibbed snowsuit in Finland or was the black overall snowsuit they provided enough for the outdoor adventure?
I felt fine, so I think my bibbed snowsuit was a good addition to keep me warm. There were some people there with just some warm regular clothes on under the provided snowsuit and they seemed ok too. I would err on bringing your own suit because we went when it was on the warmer side.
Thank you for sharing! Yes, hug and kiss is not a European thing 😊I'm just curious... wondering if you gained or lost weight after that trip. 😉😉💖💖
Go to Spain. :)
I lived in Greece and have been to a few other countries for business and vacation. My best advice to people, my fellow Americans in particular, is to not expect the country you’re visiting to be or do things like your home country. Embrace the cultural differences and try something new. That is the whole point of travel. I get a bit disappointed when I hear “Well in [insert home country], we don’t have to pay for water in a restaurant!”. Although that may be true, I’m sure the citizens of the country you’re visiting do not have to spend two-thirds of their life paying off their college tuition. Personally. I’d rather pay the €5.00 for the water…
Good morning, Michele. Funny, I did travel a lot when I was in my 20s and 30s, and even when the girls were younger. Now, I'm pretty much settled, and though I absolutely love your travel videos, I think I'm staying put for now. I'm living vicariously through you. ❤
Your trip looked absolutely incredible.
Tele-tubby leggings! Too cute.
I've never once been able to sleep on a plane. No matter how exhausted I am, it doesn't work.
French food is incredibly heavy. I'm not a sauce lover, and I don't care for French desserts.
I think I would love the food in Copenhagen.
I'm the only Jew that never cared for lox. It was a Sunday ritual in our family, and I detested the fish platter. It was always a plain bagel and butter for me.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience.
Have a great weekend. 🩷❤️
Going to Japan in June, don’t. Summer is the worst time to go Japan.
Hi Michele and good morning from Newport, OR. I will be planning a few trips this year (on the post-COVID kick also and agreed, this past 10 years is the first time in my life I could really afford travel). Question: I have both Amex and AAA. I have booked trips through AAA before, have you ever used them and if so, would you still recommend Amex over AAA?
I haven’t used AAA for trips.
@@TheMicheleWang OK! Thank you!
Triple AAA is great!
@@kaylan2083 I've had good experiences booking everything with them in the past, so was wondering how the two compare. AAA really has some great discounts with motels, car rentals, etc.... 😊
@@sarahogren3697 I'd guess triple AAA has more affordable options than Amex. But I don't have Amex so not sure.
I thought you said you went to Finland for the Northern Lights. I may have missed it in your vlog but you didn’t say anything about the experience. I only ask cuz it’s on my bucket list.
Yes it was magical!!
