I actually expect the lunch lady will be in the DLC as a boss the DLC character has to evade and eventually kills, showing how she came to be in the pantry.
I imagine a reason the barber was cut could be due to the size of the area you find him in. The hunter had a large forest you could spend time with him in. The teacher had a whole school, and the doctor a large hospital. When I think of large arenas to encounter enemies, a single barbershop isn’t gonna be one of them
that would be super cool, but the way her joints moved with her long spindly limbs would have been super hard to animate if the player was meant to guide her around. they had a really difficult time with roger in the first game because his elbows kept clipping through doorways and stuff.

luckily it looks like bandai are super enthusiastic about continuing the series, especially after the success of ln2 (a million copies in one month!) plus there are ppl at bandai who are just as passionate about the game as the devs at tarsier. the future of the series is uncertain for sure, since tarsier are largely out of the picture now, and there's no guarantee that future content will be able to capture what the first two games have, but i absolutely think it's worth being cautiously optimistic :)
@@sophiedot7550 The Official Little Nightmares 2 Twitter account has hinted at more content coming. Tarsier Studios are the ones saying that they are done with Little Nightmares since they were bought in December 2019.
If only there was a rated M+ version of LN. I would find it interesting to see the gore side of LN especially with some scenes that had that type of potential.
this may just be me overthinking, but i find it interesting how at 13:21, when looking at the sheet with all the characters, it goes mono(1), 2, 3, 4, 5, and six(6). makes me wonder if their names were going to be number related, since mono is the prefix for one or singular
I REALLY wish their were alternate endings. Sure, the ending we got made us all cry and wrapped things up, and we did get a secret scene, but maybe collecting every single hat, glitch children and replaying the game could've gotten us another ending where Mono escapes WITH Six.
I thought a good ending could be where Mono never absorbs any of the glitching remains. My theory is that Mono gains his... what do you call it... space and time TV warping powers by absorbing the glitching remains, and that’s why thin man leaves behind the glitching remains whenever he takes people who were looking at TVs for too long for Mono to eventually gain power and then release him from that one room that he’s been sitting in ever since Six betrayed him. That was a mouthful... anyway, what if Mono never absorbed the glitching remains? That would mean that he would never be able to go inside the TV and free thin man, effectively breaking the loop. But then chapter 4 would have to be reworked entirely, the TV puzzles would have to be changed for the good ending, same with the viewers section. Maybe Mono and Six would still try to go to the signal tower once they figure out that it’s broadcast is warping and distorting the world around them, making all these horrific monsters, and maybe they’ll meet thin man there when they try to turn off the broadcast. One boss fight without the main character having powers and a small chase scene with the flesh monster, and then Mono and Six escape the signal tower and onto a train, where they eventually start to travel away from the pale city. As thin man looks on at what’s happened, he turns around and destroys the flesh monster, or makes the flesh turn into whatever forms and people they used to be. That’s my idea for a good ending.

I really liked the concept of Thin Man having a bunch of screens in his room to watch over the world. I thought it was interesting because it makes me wonder what his motives for doing so would be. One theory I have is that *if* he actually did that, it may have been as some kind of reassurance. After Six's betrayal and being alone for so long, maybe his paranoia drove him to watch everything around him to ensure it never happened to him again, but that's just a theory. a *GAME THEORY-*
@@katierina31 Making games takes a LOT of work, especially games as legendary as this, so while I'm sure they know that people are invested, the costs and what not discourage them from making another game.
I have the theory that little nightmares is a huge reference to children's abuse and exploitation in different ways. Being specially creepy in the first game. Just hear this: a creepy semi-underwater island where kidnapped children are retained until a bunch of big and fat men come to get satisfied with their meat. All of this being ruled by a mysterious lady who is dressed as a geisha. But I do really think that eating isn't exactly what these people are looking for in the maw, but actually what a innocent child would think. Our protagonist here is Six, a little girl who, as many other children in this creepy world, has going through a lot, being tormented by the common and horrible nightmares children tend to dream about, like hospitals, strict teachers, bullies, creepy monsters in the forest (maybe due to horror movies) and barbers with giant scissors. But the maw is kind of too much for a normal nightmare, and what if this what six and the other children really think about a place who treat and exploit children selling them in the black market? Many of these "guests" are dressed in suits, and as fucked as this world is, I don't think anyone can actually access the Maw. Other curious thing is that the lady is a geisha, and, as some users have pointed, it seems she hasn't being the first to ruled this place. If anyone has watched the movie: Memories of a Geisha, you would see how these houses worked, and how, having many years working in the business, those trapped girls could ascend if the ruler see their potencial, even to the point of becoming the next successor. It's important to remark that these places could provide "special services" apart from company. Even though many that was for the good and famous houses. The low ranking ones, the ones in the "shadows" directly offer other "things" Other users also pointed how the chefs weren't seemed cooking human children parts, but rather animal's meat, so, where the children go after being despatched by the janitor? I have the theory that the children trapped in the maw start the rumor because not really knowing what happened there until the moment they were despatched, maybe they knew a little about the kitchen. So this take us to LN2 and Six's music box. This box, who Six really care about, sing the same song heard in the maw by the Lady, and here, I remember youtubers who theorized that this box represent Six's innocence or save space. And so many said that maybe this was the song that the lady song directly to six. But I think that the reason why both are related to this song is because it does represent their innocent, and thar the song is actually well-known in Maw by the children. The lady would still sing it trying to remember her past as an innocent child, surviving in the Maw until she could become the successor. For the pale city and the rest of LN's world I have the theory this is place after a war, or a huge event. As seem in the the artworks, many places and clothes send 50 to 70's vides. Apart from this, the signal tower could be a metaphor for media propaganda. Something the children couldn't really understand, but what adults would really pay attention to. Even to end of the game, where we thought everything was being controlled by one single man, but ended up being done by a huge mass of flesh and eyes, ones who wold refer that there is actually more than one mind in the power and that it isn't as simple as defeating one boss to bring everything to normal. I also think that the loop could be a metaphor for recruitment and that mono did became A thin man, but not exactly the SAME thin man. Yes, we saw him growing older and using the same clothes, but may serve to reinforce the idea of him becoming what he tryed to defeat and he has finally accepted becoming like him. As seemed in the comic and through the game, mono is naturally a leader, wanting to help and guide others. And maybe, he had connections with the signal tower itself (like family connections). However, his ideals are different from the ones in power, he didn't want to control and twist everything, he is still a child who just wanted to help others. That's why he could became a good rebellion leader in the future. So instead of directly killing him, the signal tower instead would try convincing him to change sides seeing how much potencial he would have in becoming the next thin man. The fact that not many children have powers could reinforce the idea of "potencial" in their respective places. Being the power to travel to tvs a reference of reaching the mass in several places through media brainwashing. The end this, I think the reason why the previous thin man tryed stopping Mono to reach the signal tower is that he knew the signal tower's plans in replacing him with the kid. Maybe he felt sympathy for him at the end and try convincing him to leave six behind and escape his fate. I do think thin man's previous actions were controlled by the tower, as commanding him to kidnap Six so Mono would try rescuing her. Six spending time in the tower and she getting twisted by it could make her think Mono was actually in the tower side and so she ends up betraying him. Mono getting betrayed by six would make him loose the last person he could trust in that twisted world, leaving him in isolation just in the company of the tower which for years brainwashed him in becoming the next heir. At the end, children are the most easier to mind control. Auto like to don't dessapear
A very interesting theory... I do think myself that the Little Nightmare’s world as we know it works as an entire ecosystem warped by the signal tower’s transmission, as we can see in the wilderness part of the game, where even animals and natural landscape seems corrupted by the transmission’s influence, or even in the pale city, where the buildings are literally bending on each other and collapsing forward on themselves due to the warped evil force of the tower’s broadcast. A question that tormented me when I finished playing the second game, considering the story of the first one and the Very Little nightmares mobile game, is why do, in this entire world under the control of the signal tower, children are being chased and targeted by every creatures living in this warped world ? In fact, we did see, in the little nightmares 1 game, that children are raised aboard the Maw only to be eaten by the guests, as they’re supposed to be, taking part in a gruesome and dark cannibal feast, of which they are one of the main composants of an horrible menu. But later in the LN franchise, when Very Little nightmares came out, we did see that some children, such as the pretender from the nest, are kept alive and protected for unknown reasons, but they do seem to live in a completely parallel privileged life compared to children of the continental land, which are hunted and chased by everything that’s grown up to an adult size, for no apparent reasons, other than pure barbarian rage and violence... In fact, as the guests, cooks and janitor from the maw all have a reason to kidnap and kill children, some other enemies, such as the viewers, the hunter or the doctor, technically don’t have any reason to murder children, as they don’t feed on them, just killing them for the pure satisfaction of calming their blood thirst. Another evidence that supports this problem is the fact that children aren’t born themselves, and considering the fact that everything wants to murder them since they’re younger age, it would be easy to murder a newborn from the time he or she takes his/her first poke in the outside world. So... why would these adults try to kill the new generations, as we saw that children do grow up to become adults themselves, with mono becoming thin man ? Because murdering children is the easiest way to stop the chaos that rules the world. Technically, it would make sense : No new generations meaning no new people to get corrupted by the signal tower to be warped like their predecessors... But then, why do schools exist in this world, in order to raise and educate the porcelain children, who will obviously never grow up to become adults, as they exist by the pure manipulations of the tower’s influence on non-organic objects ? Why do they keep raising these dolls if they’re never meant to grow up ?? Obviously, there are no humans left in this world apart from the warped creatures that emerged of the former people that got corrupted... So do the adults hope to completely erase the human kind, leaving the world to a next generation of porcelaine-made monsters that would replace the human kind ? It would also explain the hunter’s taxidermy and the doctor’s manipulations, in order to get the humans to become artificial-made creatures, that would completely obey to the signal’s influence, keeping the ecosystem alive... Then, the real children may be born from humans that survived the apocalypse, and left trying to survive the corrupted world they’ve been born into... a last theory is that, considering the story twist and the way it turned out that mono was thin man, not only is he trying to save his younger self, but also the entire world from the tower’s influence and the terrible broadcast that corrupted it... It would then make sense that, when he catches Mono, he doesn’t actually kill or harm him physically, he just stops him from going further and make the time loop again... That were some theories I came up with, sorry for my bad English, I’m not a native speaker...
All these cut characters/places may be creepy, but I still think that the teacher is the most nightmare-ish. [Also, the pictures of mono holding six's hand through the hallway was so sweet, I think maybe their might have been a better ending if that happened]
I know it wouldn't be optimal for sales but I really wish that they didn't hold back on the disturbing concepts regardless of the age rating. It's quite a shame to see that they had to scrap a lot of stuff that looked really awesome just because it was too dark for the game :(
One thing I need to let everyone know (including Mike) is that the Little Nightmares ended its journey with Tarsier Studies. They blatantly said that they had made the game the vision they wanted, and that they were done with it... though that Bandai Namco could continue it if they pleased. I just googled it to make sure, you can too. Sad days for us, and I fear that if Bandai does continue LN that it will be a let down.
I hope that Bandai Namco at least makes one more game for the series. One where the Signal Tower is defeated and finally has a happy ending(every ending has been sad from the mobile game to this one, the first game’s ending isn’t sad, but more of scary seeing Six being scary powerful while escaping the Maw), like having a good dream for once.
I think that is more of a business decision, Tarsier said that because their parent company want them to focus on their own IP, which make sense business wise, but I think their original vision was not ending with LN2 as they have introduce many new concept for the world building
13:18 the way those kids are portrayed in that image makes me think there is more conection between them than we thought, we know the first one is Mono (meaning One) and the sixth is Six. This makes me think that those others will also have number based names and maybe more important roles to play in the over arching story.
Ok, I just wanna say that whoever was working on the concept art is SUPER talented! The art is so beautiful, while still being super creepy, I love it. I would honestly love to hang some of those drawings on my wall.
I don't think he is even alive, hear me out. When you hear the song that plays when Mono transforms at the end static plays, im guessing the Eyeball entity is sending Mono back in time using his own powers. It uses the remaining bit of his powers to create the the thin man which is basically Mono if he grew up. It would make sense because The thin man looks like a hologram and not an actual person, notice how his movements are glitchy
He bends in all unnatural ways like an advertising balloon, so I don't know about that. But I've seen contortionists do bends that are even wilder! The lady's true face isn't really her true face, she's just reflected like that in the mirrors. You can tell by the neck. But she definitely is a monster. My theory as to why Mono looks more normal than most others is that he was using his powers to resist the influence of the tower, as a result it made him permanently weaker but he didn't end up losing as much as everyone else, even though it severely altered him. Being thin can also mean you're starving, so maybe Mono was starved of power during his transformation? IMO thin man sounds like a lame name, so there must be a deeper meaning to it-
Art books are good but it’s too bad no one uses the ideas from like ratchet and clank’s museum level. Mono could have traveled into a previously unlit tv and explore a world full of models and descriptions of unused characters, what could have been and a glimpse at an alternate ending besides the main 2
It's because they're both are similar to the seven deadly sins. Six is too gluttonous and can't satiate her hunger, relating to her sadistic nature. Mono represents pride. His younger self cares too much about Six and stops his older self from saving him from his self-fulfilling prophecy.
Now, that i see that every character has 3 syllables (the barber, the hunter, the teacher etc.), i have to say, that these were very good choices of names: Cause it just goes off your tongue
I really wish they would've said "Screw the teen rating!" and went through with a lot of those old decisions. The old doctor design was wicked, the idea of entering the signal tower by sneaking with a crowd of twisted monsters is so cool. I could've waited another year for this game if there was more game to it, all I want after playing Little Nightmares II is more Little Nightmares II. All we can hope for now is a dlc, or expansion, or confirmation in the future that there is a third in the works.
For some reason I really liked the concept of the girl with the bloody nose. Maybe if she were in a DLC or something, we could also find out how the puppet-patients came to be exactly!
I love how in little nightmares is that where all the cut characters are still in the world but they don’t use them so you know that they’re still alive or doing something
rather than the lonely room, I would love the thin man room is filled with tv and weird fleshy thing, it would make more sense, but maybe it's to portray the loneliness mono feels when he's trapped in the signal tower and slowly changed to thin man
I love when these sort of art books show not only what was in the game (Environments, characters etc) but go step beyond and show what could have been.
Id really love to see different snowy enviroments for the game. Or even something totally left field like a very bright and sunny "happy" looking place it would really put everyone on edge
Idea: a sunny meadow covered in wheat/flowers with birdsong ambience in the background, and then once you get deeper into the stage a ginormous combine harvester enemy comes barging in after you.
I really wish we had seen more of the Thin Man's motivations and personality and how different it is from Mono especially that scene at 10:12 the way he is holding his hands and his smile suggest a more manic and crazy character.
I wish they had the part at 12:38 where Mono carries dying Six tot he tower, knowing she will become a monster but with no other choice bc otherwise she would die, and then guide Monster Six like at 11:54, with Mono unaffected suggesting he is of the same kind as Thin Man or smth - which would explain why Six dropped him at the end then walked away lifting her hands to her eyes crying 😢
While I wouldnt advocate for this usually, I would literally up and buy a dlc that includes a happier ending for them and being able to hold her hand in the tower
Nathan That was just something small, there was a new tweet that came out: Random user: “I wish Bandai would actually add somethin new but of course they didnt god you have to pull on my heart strings huh?” Bandai Namico: “You’ll be excited in a couple months time.” That’s all they said but it’s pretty clear

11:46 fun fact they did scrap this piece inside little nightmares 2 BUT in little nightmares 3. They added the baby back. The baby looks more like a porcelain doll with eyes filled with light so if you're caught by the baby in the light then I guess you're Frozen or something like that. It's similar to the eye! The eye in the game when you turn into Stone:) so look forward for the third game because the baby will be in it!
In my opinion the hunter section of the game was lacking, I know they have to keep the game in a certain time constraint but I feel like the level needed more.

@@leonardofarias8843 what?
I did and replaying the game didn't change anything :c i even tried to replay wearing the Thin Man's hat all the time but nope, still no changes

The low ranking ones, the ones in the "shadows" directly offer other "things"
Other users also pointed how the chefs weren't seemed cooking human children parts, but rather animal's meat, so, where the children go after being despatched by the janitor?
Dang that’s a lot of interesting stuff here
Very interesting.

[Also, the pictures of mono holding six's hand through the hallway was so sweet, I think maybe their might have been a better ending if that happened]

tbh, thin man is probably the most normal looking monster. can he even be considered a monster?
Yes he’s on another plain of existence and can travel through time and space
I don't think he is even alive, hear me out. When you hear the song that plays when Mono transforms at the end static plays, im guessing the Eyeball entity is sending Mono back in time using his own powers. It uses the remaining bit of his powers to create the the thin man which is basically Mono if he grew up. It would make sense because The thin man looks like a hologram and not an actual person, notice how his movements are glitchy
Do u consider mono a monster?
Well he is tall asf and your typical shady looking guy down an alleyway so he isn't exactly not scary either
Theory: Six can't control her hunger, Mono is out control his destiny.
Mono became a porcelain kid
Little nightmares III mono thin man:hmm.. Mono:six or u OK????????
Six possibly lost her soul when she became static distorted, and subsequently may be beyond saving
It's because they're both are similar to the seven deadly sins. Six is too gluttonous and can't satiate her hunger, relating to her sadistic nature. Mono represents pride. His younger self cares too much about Six and stops his older self from saving him from his self-fulfilling prophecy.

I really wish we had seen more of the Thin Man's motivations and personality and how different it is from Mono especially that scene at 10:12 the way he is holding his hands and his smile suggest a more manic and crazy character.
Ikr
Wouldn't blame him, he was betrayed by Six when he was child and probably developed anxiety and paranoia has he grew and it affected his mental state.
The isolation affected his mental state too
The baby made the cut in little nightmares 3 😊
I wish they had the part at 12:38 where Mono carries dying Six tot he tower, knowing she will become a monster but with no other choice bc otherwise she would die, and then guide Monster Six like at 11:54, with Mono unaffected suggesting he is of the same kind as Thin Man or smth - which would explain why Six dropped him at the end then walked away lifting her hands to her eyes crying 😢
While I wouldnt advocate for this usually, I would literally up and buy a dlc that includes a happier ending for them and being able to hold her hand in the tower

Hold on sir the one we didn’t get to play-
There’s gonna be a dlc so, I have high hopes that some of these are revisited
Wait what?
Isn't the dlc the thing with the gnome?
Nathan That was just something small, there was a new tweet that came out:
Random user: “I wish Bandai would actually add somethin new but of course they didnt god you have to pull on my heart strings huh?”
Bandai Namico: “You’ll be excited in a couple months time.”
That’s all they said but it’s pretty clear

Dont play with me are you serious?
Cuz i already completed the game and achievements.
Your not joking right?
Nathan Its been confirmed, type up ‘Bandai Namico tweet’ or something like thay
@@theresamaninthewoods9639 the manager of the little nightmares twitter account sadly told us that we misinterpreted the tweet and its not referring to a future dlc but that doesnt mean that a dlc wont happen
The Comment I've been Looking for. Thanks:)
@@santa.yellow loll your welcome!!
In my opinion the hunter section of the game was lacking, I know they have to keep the game in a certain time constraint but I feel like the level needed more.
I thought it was a good introduction. Never really considered it a level or the hunter as a boss. Just the meeting with six.
Man the artwork for this game is so gorgeous, the sketches sorta remind me of the original illustrations by Stephen Gammel in Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.

Hi am a fan I been watching u for 4 years and I love ur vid keep it up
I love his vids to
Same here, love his vids

Yep
You're dedicate that's nice and I can relate so yeah
concept art is probably one of my favourite things. especially little nightmares concept art. the world is incredible and the character and monster designs are creative, clever, terrifying and wonderfully horrid. they r probably some of my favourite designs of all time. i absolutely loved this video. keep up the great work
Nice to see that the large baby concept is going to be used on the announced LN 3
11:45 this concept art of this giant baby was later used for monster baby in little nightmares 3
I always love cut content and what things could’ve been, like the Toy Story Black Friday Demo Reel.
Same
The Barber with scissors reminds me of the game Clock Tower, also that game was one of the early games about horror for Snes I had played.
Or Struwwelpeter
Clock Tower. Now that's a blast from the past. I swear the Scissor Man was pretty much Pyramid Head before he became popular.
Why does no one talk about clock tower anymore? Is it really that forgotten?

it's like, how can you NOT love this game
9:57 I absolutely saw this reference to half life coming from miles away, I always thought Thin Man look like, and had similar powers to Gman.

holy oof-
this started when i watched slimecicle play like 2-3 days ago, and now i am just as obsessed as i used to be with fnaf
ayyy slimecicle fan. if you want to watch the ending and dont want to wait, i suggest jacksepticeyes playthrough
I hope we get to see the barber and lunch lady in dlc
Maybe another kid trecking through the pale city at the same time Mono and Six do making them stumble into their mess (Thin man, the city distorting by monos powers, etc) and tries to survive
@@bryanlemmens68 Maybe, the dlc can explain how Mono gor into the forest.
There could be a new character trying to escape the pale city, and ending up in the forest, with the Moose hopefully being the final boss. This new character could've turned on the TV we find Mono next to.
Hopefully
Homestly i wish we could've gotten the barber he looks really creepy and cool
10:40 oohhh this baby is on little nightmares 3. I hope to see more of these comming!
I love how they're gonna use the giant baby idea for the 3rd game!! I'm so excited for it!!!!
I wish the cut part of the gamę where still in the gamę maybe in the dlc there will be some of them
Definitely, game would've been alot better

Thanks goodness the giant baby idea was scrapped, I was traumatized by the ending of Akira
And then there's Mayuri's bankai

re: the barber, "cut from the final release" i see what you did there, i caught that pun, and it made me snort
Oh my god, the baby at 10:37 is in little nightmares 3!! I wonder what other concepts we are going to see in little nightmares 3!
One thing I would enjoy is a game where we meet a lot of different kids, you don’t beat it with everyone, but you do cross paths for some time.
I think it would stand in the way of the lonely and lost feeling ln 1 and 2 have. Six and mono feel so close because its they are the only kids they see.
8:18 hey look everyone, he's talking about us now 🙃
Lol
i NEED a 3rd game where we save Mono. idc he must be saved
Uhhh its a time loop..
The cut characters are in the comics and people say there mite be a DLC for little nightmares 2 and u mite play as the comic characters

Omg okay so I just watched his video where he revealed that they're making a third game and one of the characters is literally a giant baby that can turn people into stone! I am so glad that they're deciding to not completely scrap that idea.
13:10 I like how the opposite happened lol
