I studied may Thai under someone who trained kali and silat. He blended the kali into our may thai. It really elevated our training above many other brutal neighbouring schools ( not an easy thing ). Also there was a senior student who had mastered kali techniques. Most of the time he left us scratching our heads wondering how we had just been defeated. He was not vicious in his techniques, he seemed to be enjoying himself most of the time. Cheers uploader, good solid technique here.
I swear that Panantukan and Dumog, and Kali in general, is the most complete street effective martial system of them all. It is the most incredible journey, and the more you discover of it, the more amazed you become....

Dustin poirier vs dan hooker was a fight where I first saw standing hammer fists and it always blows me away. This is truly fascinating style, I recently started kali and am excited to learn more.
Boy oh Boy, This video with your combo video is perfect real training and a good training partner always helps out too. Ha! Awesome! you just need a stick and stick combo video and your set man! Put them all together and Bam! Great Videos keep them coming! I enjoyed every second of them!
I've doubted these demonstrations for quite some time (Thanks to Wing Chun) but after witnessing a few techniques work in sparring, I'd say it's pretty good. Maybe a tad less practical in the grand scheme of mma. With the exception of compliance drills and "Patty-cake hand traps," this style actually has quite the potential.
A lot of arnis instructors say that the patty cake hand trapping can be used but I doubt the effectiveness just as much as you do. To me, they look more like sensitivity drills for knife fighting ONLY. What do you think?
@@jodricpalisbo7916 I can see that as a possibility. My only problem with it is that the horrors of a real knife fight is unlike anything we see in drills and demonstrations. I've always advocated running away when someone pulls out a piece, or at least find a weapon with longer reach to target the wrists and forearms. Contrary to what most people say, the worst case scenario for knife fighting is getting tangled up in grappling distance. You don't need much leverage to stab someone multiple times in quick succession.

The feeling when non-native practitioners of Filipinos' martial arts are doing more than Filipinos themselves. In PH, rarely you'll see any FMA schools putting that much effort on the effectiveness of its empty hands aspect (unless you request for it). Always relying on "demos" which are ridiculous and unrealistic.
Looks ver impresszum but the priblem is if you eatch a proper sprint or fight you not gono see nothing like that because the other guy is nit gono szay stiil and let xou to do your movielike moves
Okay cool. Now show live sparring instead of all this choreographed nonsense please. We want to see a demo of the moves then see them implemented in uncut sparring these days.

It’s all Southeast Asia. And lethwei is basically as close to panantukan as you can see live
In Muay Boran you have hammerfist also
Keysi stole it
Yessir glad to see some real panantukan strikes. People think empty- handed Kali just slaps around

This video gives some ideas on what to build in my home gym for solo drills.
Incredible work! Very evident.

Then why Anderson Silva did a"patty cake hand traps"of wing chun and won?You know Qi La La on youtube? His wing chun is beating mma and muay.

C'est vraiment génial comme technique
Wonder why we never see panantukan fighters at K1 competitions...
Do they have real hard sparring or matches as muaythai, kickboxing or boxing?
Usually not because Panantukan is not a fighting sport, it is a martial arts without any rules.
Because that martial art (panuntukan) are very useful in streetfight
There is a youtube video.40 year old filipino doctor vs MMA.
I don't see any sparring or the opponent giving any resistance. Without that it's basically a dance. I think MMA has proved that already.

what kind of martial arts school is this? modern Arnis? pekiti tirsia Kali?
Very strong training. Goood.
Wow those moves are similar to kali.
It an empty hand branch of Kali..Think that your arm is the stick
The panuntukan is a part of kali arts with empty hand
Magnifique 🙏🏻
Can probably be used in Kudo.
My lolo from Cebu (Province of Philippines) always wanted to teach me these kinds of martial art, and how to use machete. But I refused..
nice
It could actually be effective if you execute it like this
