One of the reasons that these children shows become so rare is the lack of syndication on TV, and defunct production companies that still own rights to these shows.

My dude I am saying this out of love and someone mentioned it in a past video, you need to invest in a house. You are too smart to be throwing money away on rent for your place and storage unit. I would list that Christmas vhs like you said for $250 and see what happens in terms of offers.
I've sold wiggles sailing around the world on vhs for $100 in the past and there are many vhs tapes today that are worth mega $$$ as long as they are new and sealed and first releases or limited releases.
I also wanna mention Disney demo tapes they're in a red or blue cardboard sleeve and sometimes with the movie artwork too. They sell well in a lot of separately for $20 a piece on average.
Great finds, I always learn something from your videos. I love to lot up stuff together to make more money on less valuable stuff. Saving items from the land fills one sale at a time! 😀
About a month ago I found a sealed copy of TMNT the movie from 1990 for 99 cents, flipped it for 180 bucks the next week. Insane!
I've been doing vintage VHS for about six months now and the best thing I found was a $25 Jackie Chan I'm so jelly right now
I've sold VHS tapes for years, children's tapes always do well especially anything in lots. Even the adults ones will sell well if listed in lots. Horror, wrestling, certain 80's - 90's movies especially if new or considered classic movies, sci-fi movies, all sell well also anime. I didn't know about this increase in SEALED VHS prices though. I have quite a few new sealed ones none are going for crazy prices that I have though 😞😞😞. Yeah I make about $2-$4 grand a year selling VHS, CDs, DVD's, & cassette tapes, now I'm trying to expand to include vinyls as well. All of this can be very profitable because of the low cost of the vhs tapes.
stumbled upon you a few weeks ago, subscribed day one, awesome content. after bingeing a few episodes, im immediately off to the thrift to source hard goods, i normally would only scan books and maybe a vintage tee here and there. and now im off again to find vhs tapes! thanks for sharing.

I occasionally find one that's worth $20 and I look at them all the time. Usually pick up most sealed ones just because. I'm going to BOLO for nick jr and other kids ones now. Thanks for the tip and that's a great find.
I think you're one of the most knowledgeable resellers man. Your videos are amazing and always fun to watch. Side note, I found a Wii bundle for $4.50 at Goodwill yesterday and sold it for $100 today! One of my best game finds so far. Keep it up

I found something similar a few months ago. A thrift store near me brought out someones entire DVD collection of full series boxed sets all brand new. Each $1.50. I mustve had like 30-40 complete dvd seiries sealed. Once i scanned a few, I nabbed all of the ones that were sealed. Needless to say I did pretty well.
I picked up about 200 VHS for $2 last month. It was the last day of the estate sale. They practically gave the lot away. Didn’t sell any because I still collect them. BTW, 👍🏽👍🏽 for your wife’s shirt.

He’s upset i ended up going to the sale after I originally wasn’t going to go yard saling that day, which is why I went early. He’s saying I lied because I changed my plans 4 hours after the sale started that day and my wife and I ended up in that town lol.

Than you PLANNED to go back to the sale the next day after you saw that you could potentially make even more money if you went back and checked the rest of the VHS's she had for sale.... So yes you lied and are a piece of shit for doing so and even more so for posting it on RUclips like it was some great thing you did....
Try Texas Chainsaw Maccacre by Wizard. Paid 41.50 for around 70 VHS and got this with it. USED. Sold in 20 min for $999. The others were all horror. Ill make at least another $400 on the rest.

Of course you need the lids to the banker boxes! Those things are so handy for lots of stuff.
Empty bankers boxes aren't that cheap either, and if you buy them new you have to assemble them.
I believe the spike in sealed VHS is because of the grading craze going on right now. People are grading iconic vhs movies as well, and some are going for crazy prices.
Never heard of this, you happen to know what sites grade them?

Correct. I picked up a sealed Stand By Me and a sealed Pulp Fiction for $1 each. Sold the Stand By Me for $25... then a few minutes later I got a message from another buyer saying they would've paid $200 for it. I was confused. Pulp Fiction sold the next day for $45. Then I watched a YT video about the most expensive VHS on eBay. The original Star Wars Trilogy separately sealed is at the top. Empire, A New Hope, Return of the Jedi. Empire is over $8000 graded.
But where did all these sealed tapes come from? Before you would never see them and now they're all over the place. VHS was by-and-large a rental format so there aren't going to be as many sealed copies as you'd see with CD's, DVD's or even LP's. I think some of them are 'new-condition used' wrapped with new cellophane.
My heart skipped a beat over those CARDBOARD BOXES that the VHS tapes came in!!

Bought a jurassic park sealed at goodwill and sold it on eBay for $175. I would recommend shipping any expensive vhs in a box Priority Mail not media mail. Sometimes the usps will open your packages to check if it is media.

@osborn2thrift thanks for the bubble wrap response, now have that much needed supply. Follow up question, picked up a skillet temp control unit, what is the best way to test that? Are they more often working than not working? I plugged it in and the light turns on but is the silver spoke supposed to get hot itself/does it take a while? Great VHS video, I found a Ralph Bakshi VHS for a $1 at a garage sale and sold comps were at $50 in worse condition, none others listed. Pulled a you move and listed for $110 with best offer on to see what happens 😂. Great feeling finding some VHS treasures

Tons of VHS tapes out there are worth major money. Always go through the VHS when you are shopping to resell. Children's shows, animation, Anime and horror are the most valuable. Of course factory sealed is the best. Been selling on eBay for over a decade and made $1,000's off VHS tapes alone.

Yes, after watching another RUclipsr, Mel Back From Burnout, she got me hooked on the idea of bundling books etc. My idea is to bundle what would normally sell low but once I bundle them up, I am hoping to see them sell. I also have decided to bundle books and movies of the same genre and just see how it works for me.
He is 100% right on Disney tapes. I just paid $1.29 each on sealed Disney VHS tapes and I think I'll be lucky to break even. Don't buy the hype. The market is flooded with people thinking they are about to become millionaires selling Disney VHS.
Exactly. Even now the VHS market is weirdly volatile and some go super high and others super low. Disney is always one to avoid, even for pennies each

I did a garage sale a few years ago and was selling boxes of VHS and no body bought any. One lady said the $1 price was too high. Now I'm selling them on ebay for a lot more.
The thrifts stores around here throw out so many VHS tapes because they get so many of them. I know this because they tell me. They also throw out tons and tons of books and cassettes. It boggles my mind. People donate this stuff to them free of charge, and they just throw it away. Shit, they can donate to me, and I will do something with them!

I just bought like 1000 VHS tapes, some ps3. Ps2 and sega game gear games and a nice VCR for 60 bucks and I’m gonna make hella profit. Slowly but surely.
What brand/model were the keyboards at 21:13 & 21:36? Sometimes keyboards are worth grabbing if they are cheap enough. I’ve seen them in your videos but I don’t think you’ve ever picked one up.

Back a few years ago you could sell x rated tapes on ebay adult section. I came across about 40 tapes from a yard sale where the owner had died and his family was cleaning out the house. Some tapes had boxes, some not. Some of those tapes went for over a hundred bucks each. I did test them and took pictures of the tv screen with them playing for the listings. I don't know why anyone would want to pay so much for old vhs tapes, but I was happy to make some nice money on those tapes.

I have 100s of VHS but they are American. My Holy Grail are VHS from Venezuela and they play fine on American VCRs. Most of them are horror with a few mondodocumentaries. I have about 250 of them. I've come to know that even in Venezuela people are not collecting their videocassettes!😭 So what's around is what it is! I love VHS!👉😀👈

Yeah, it's crazy how much some of those pre school toys sell for. Little Einsteins is also a great BOLO. Got the ship with all figures at Goodwill for $5 and my kids took it from my pile and lost most of them.

If you sent a couple sealed new ones to be graded you might could make 5-10x that on the Mask. Comp graded VHS, great score
I was having no luck at goodwill awhile ago so decided to look up back to the future vhs sence they had 2 of the 3 there. Turns out lotting all 3 together sell really good. Who woulda guessed back to the future i would think theres a million copies out there. Also certain versions sealed can be crazy money. Im not a materialistic person so it always puzzles me why people pay the money they do for some stuff

I’ll send the expensive ones priority and nicely packaged. This is one of my Best Buy’s based on the investment I did. The $2400 pickup a few weeks ago still edges it out because of how fast I made so much money off it (6kish gross now and more than double in profit in a few weeks). But $75 into 2k+ is just way to good to not say it’s my top 2 buy at least!

I like the Kidsongs and Wee Sing VHS tapes. They are good because I like music.
I never have luck with those finds. My goodwills always put anything of value in the glass cases

I usually ship the drum kits in two 12x12x12 boxes. They come apart almost completely, let’s, stand, etc. the main drum
part is the longest part and the 12x12x12 boxes out together fit thek

If you can get VHS cheap,scan em and buy em. I wouldn't discourage people to buy VHS. Just look em up and if you can get em cheap,buy em! Horror is a great genre to look for on VHS.
