What a great era this was. Such great fighters fighting at their best. Unfortunaly we definetely don't see such great fighters as these no more...
It was era of K1, kyokushin etc., not this pseudostyle mma. Andy Hug 9RIP) era, he was the best technical karateka in K1, his fights were lways extremely interesting due tu very rich arsenal of different techniques he used. Regards :)
Now its even good because they use boxing techniques
We do have some few good fighters (old school) left here in Brazil!
@@wanttosayadrem2551 What's pseudostyle mma? Pseudostyle was a lot of those rigged fights in Pride. Why do you have to put down MMA to compliment this great era of kickboxing? This isn't Karate.

@@flowrepins6663 você ja começa errado e mostrando total desconhecimento dos fatos citados, Francisco Filho é baiano da cidade de souto Soares, uma pesquisada rápida no Google iria evitar que vc passasse vergonha falando bobagem, maguila é sergipano e não baiano, baiano é Avelino Freitas, Robson Conceição atual campeão olímpico, Adriana Araújo campeã olímpica, Amanda Nunes, os irmãos Nogueira, lyoto Machida entre outros grandes lutadores baianos de elite, a Bahia tem muita tradição no boxe, basta você entrar no site da confederação brasileira de boxe que você vai ver que a maioria dos lutadores da federação brasileira de boxe são da Bahia, em relação ao muay thay Curitiba tem sim muita tradição assim como santos em SP tem uma escola foda, no JJ RJ e Manaus são duas escolas mt fortes entre outros, antes de desmerecer algo procure saber pelo menos o básico já que você mostra total desconhecimento sobre a história das artes marciais com preconceitos e estereótipos bobos, Bahia, Curitiba, SP, Rio, Rio Grande do Sul já são escolas de muita tradição na luta.
@@ruangarcia4842 nao sei de onde francisco eh mas a base dele eh karate de sao paulo. francisco eh campeao mundial de karste e o mike eh campeao mundial de boxe entao obvio que tinha que evitar trocar socos. na bahia tem.mais lutadores de boxe mas o melhor ainda eh eder jofre de sao paulo.o segundo melhor tmb so 2 br que pegaram wbf e wba. karate kyokushin a sede fica em sao paulo tmb onde o francisco, glaube e ewerton teixera aprenderam. eles aprendersm em sao paulo e nao voltarsm para terra de comedor de acaraje pq so tem capoeirista e comedor de acaraje ai. nenhum lutsdor vai ficar morsndo em terra dr dormidor de rede
А ведь была определённая культура поведения настоящих спортсменов. По моему мнению, это как раз определяет то что всё поколение тех бойцов дрались на высоком уровне. Рискуя своим здоровьем, оставляя в зале годы тренировок, а иногда и жизнь Воины тех лет без страха шли биться против таких же воинов как и они сами. За это и уважают соперника, но к сожалению сейчас бой это больше маркетинг чем спорт.
Такое уважение друг другу.В спорте выигривает сильнейший....Молодцы....

After Bernardo connected that punch at around 15:45, it was all over for Filho. Wasn't a knockdown but Filho was rocked.

when i first saw bernardo i didnt know that much about him. But he shocked the hell out of me when he knocked out aerts,one of my favorite fighters and thats when i saw how much power he had in his arms. Great fight from mike,as usual

マイクベルナルド全盛期(この年もこのフィリォ戦までもちろん無敗)当時入場シーンのこの表情見てから鳥肌立った。普段の入場シーンや、いつも見せるバラエティーでのベルナルドとはあまりにも違うかったからだ。そしてこの試合内容！ちなみにこの年の開幕戦でUSAグランプリを圧倒的なボクシング技術で制覇したリックルーファスに何もさせず倒したフィリォを完全KOしたこの試合はベルナルドのベストバウトの一つである
無敗だったけど確かに次の試合準決勝でアーツに１round KO負けするんですよね

Although he has a decent record I've always thought that Filho was not fit for K1. His stance was weird, his presence was weird (he always looked like he was not comfortable fighting on a ring), he got the distance wrong with kicks all the time.
He did the right thing by keeping it to kyokunshin after 2004.
is funny he beated better boxera like andy aerts and hoost. his kicks kinda made up for his boxing i guess

@@mariamamart8086 he also boxed as a pro, just because he trained one style dosent mean he hasnt trained alot in another style.
@@korvstopparen yeah, Im Kyokushin and I boxed for that exact reason before kickboxing. But both guys fought well, respected each other and Filho tried to keep going, that's where the 'Osu' is warranted for that, especially from Bernardo.

yo he visto casi todas sus peleas de francisco filho y lo único que puedo decir respecto a esta pelea, es que no ha estado en su mejor momento. a lo mejor ya perdió la emoción por ganar pero sea cual sea la causa no perdió por ser menos que el otro de eso estoy seguro.

Bernardo are a Black Belt Belt in Kyokushin and trained Boxing too and have much more experience on K1 while Filho in 1998 fighted Kickboxing for 1 year.
まぁ…ラッキーが尽きた瞬間…フィリオの底が見えた試合の一つ！あとバンナ戦も…キックボクサーにはなりきれなかったんだけど…今の極真が技術アップする事に一石を投じた選手だった。
フィリォがクリンチした後に、マイクの隙間から突き上げてくるアッパーがかなり効果的に見える。この頃、フィリォは開幕戦でマイクに惜敗したモーリススミスと練習していたと記憶しているけど、当時のフィリォは経験の浅さからモーリスのようなクリンチワークでパンチを殺すことが出来なかったんだろうな。マイクの強さが際立った一戦だった。

@@flowrepins6663, concordo! Ele deveria ter usado mais chutes baixos para ir castigando e, minando a resistência do Mike. Encurtar a distância é fatal com Mike Bernardo.
@@edlionalves1845 ele era campeao mundial de boxe tinha que ter explorado os chutes do karate e evitado trocar socos com ele isso eh roubada. o mike bernardo mesmo sendo boxeador quando lutou contra butterbean que tambem era campeao de boxe so usou chute e nocauteou o gordo rapidinho pq ele eh gordo de mais para levantar a perna. acho que ganharia nas regras do boxe contra butterbean tmb mas foi estrategico e nao deu nem chance nem luta para o gordao
