Max Payne has been ground breaking from the beginning! The first max Payne was like nothing I’ve ever played. Xbox tried to copy it with dead to rights. The story line and dialogue on max Payne 1 was superb
No doubt da gameplay is excellent but as a max payne game its nowhere near excellent (because -->) even as a video game with a good story in general it aint excellent cause da story is awful
Wow. This game was ahead of it's time. Everyone talks about GTA 5 and RDR 2 these days for good reason. But I think this game was a better game than Rockstar's newer titles. An amazing story that wasn't too long, better gameplay, and an phenomenal soundtrack.
That was some AMAZING shooting! Like...just 4 hours of headshots, brutal efficiency...carving through anything in your way. I'll admit I skipped alot of the cutscenes cause I know this games story well enough, but I definetly wasn't skipping the gameplay. I just looked up and its like 10 at night...didn't even realize I was blurring through my whole evening I got so into it. I'll definetly be recommending this one to my action junkie friends as well :D

Hi there, I’d like to say this happened to me as well, I play Max Payne 3 on the xbox, this happened to me several times, so I figured whenever you’re in Bullet Time, you don’t tread damage *SOMETIMES*, I’m supposing it’s just a scuff or some sort of invincibility frame whenever you enter or exit bullet time. Not trying to defend him, but I feel like that was a scuff than a god mode.

So how many hours of practice all up? I imagine you had to learn exact spawns, spawn points, perfect shot placement. Put together it looks great, but behind the scenes, how long was the process and was it annoying or fun, easy or hard? I really wouldnt have the patience for this honestly.

No it's possible on controller it's just a bit harder that's all. I've played this game with controller on all the difficulties with probably only 5-10 deaths each playthrough which were mostly cause I got greedy but it's possible for sure.

What's everybody's favourite chapter? Me seeing Chapter 14 being completed so perfectly, yet effortlessly reminds me of how much I love the game, especially Chapter 14. This game has an important place reserved in my heart.
Man how tf do people do no damage runs in this game, there's such a large element of luck with randomly getting headshotted, even when you're in cover sometimes lol. Impressive for sure!

This difiiculty is normal but without the last stand or is hard with that setting? Because I remember being terrified for this platinum due to NYMHC which I was thinking was gonna be on hardcore from start to finish but in the end is NYHC from start to end in normal xD Edit: thsi is between normal and hard but without tha last stand/chance. Pretty good until chapter 8 but i'm having abreeze after hard
There are scripted parts of the game where you have to take damage, for example helicopter part on chapter 2 or boat run...u don't have control on that.
This game was not only an excellent max payne game but also a game that was WAY ahead of his time and it's been 10 years now.
I think the fans expected the same noir themed game as the prev two, not a bald terminator.

I have exactly the opposite opinion. It's the worst Max Payne game, and I can't even play it due to how bad the writing is.

Game is a master piece always replay it once or twice a year since I was 14 (2014) this game play is insane hats off to you mate

Maybe they don't necessarily ruin them, but they do somewhat break the overall atmosphere and feeling of the game.
