Based on your vid I installed one of these wireless remotes. It's been stellar. I've used it alot for pulling a trencher from the side by side. I've been out to 200 ft from the winch. No problem. I did install a simple cut off switch do deactivate the remote... Just in case I inadvertently press the remote button...
For $20 how can you go wrong! Great piece of gear and the cut off switch is awsome! - I did hit the switch in my pocket once and the winch bent the fairlead - so that's now on my list of upgrades! Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for this. Did you wire the controller white wire with the blue wire atop the solenoid? How well did the small remote work? Mine came with that only, not the larger remote.
Still "chooching" along great! I've used mine quite a bit for pulling me out of spots and for removing downed trees from the trails. Best $20 I ever spent!
why did you use dielectric grease. DIelectric is for resistance. regular grease is for connection. We use dielectric grease on spark plug boots to make them easier to remove. since the power does not flow through it.
The purpose of dielectric grease is to remove moisture and stop corrosion. As long as the electrical connection surfaces are tight and grease free the resistance of the grease plays no part. Best to use sparingly 😉
I know you made this video a couple of years ago, but it's one of the better ones. Did you ever make the one with more wiring Information? I just purchased one and the Instructions are literally 6 sentences and you can see it was translated from another language.
I purchased the same remote. What colors are you connecting to each place? I don't understand electrical stuff, including the wiring diagram that came with it. Help!
Hi Craig, As the colour might change brand to brand I'd rather not give you bad advice, so read the instructions to confirm. I'd try and get a friend to help if you are uncertain about how to fit it, however, there are 4 wires - positive power (red on mine), neg ground (black), and two control wires (yellow and white for me). Connect the red and black to power and ground respectively and the two control wires to the in and out terminals on the winch contactor (small spade connectors on the lower part of the contactor NOT the large nut terminals). The fifth wire is an aerial! Hope that works!
@@TheEmporiumOutdoors Thanks, I'm getting closer. The diagram says A, F1 and F2, and that didn't give me any clues. I saw you put spade connectors on, but I couldn't tell which ones or why. But now I understand white and yellow control in/out.
Fantastic idea and great video. Thank you. ... I just tried the link to your Amazon remote control. It's not valid anymore. would you be so kind and tell us the product name or description so we could find it somewhere in the net. thank you so much 👍🏻😃
That's a steal at $20. Wonder what SuperWinch is thinking with their pricing, must be more to the switch than meets the eye. Hope it gives you good service. By the way, just got in from our weekend of camping/riding in Kisatchie National Forest. My son is working on getting something out for RUclips but bottom line, we had a blast and the P5 really impressed us. Thanks for the video and take care.
+mustang1191 Yes - I thought the same but for $20 lets see what happens. I'm glad you and your son had a great time and I'm looking forward to the video! If anything UTV's are a great way to get out and see some of this amazing continent and spend some time with friends and loved ones. Take care my friend!
Gosh darn Mr. Outdoor's I checked your entire site and I can't seem to located the easier tutorial that you told Adrian that you would make for us people that don't know what the hell +ve stands for? what give, are you making it or what? I've been waiting allow half a decade>>
hello, good morning, I'm from Brazil and I looked your video and have a question ... this remote control can be used for voltage 127v ?? Thank you and congratulations for the video ... a hug ... sorry my english
+Cassol Jr The input voltage for the unit is 12VDC - but as it only acts as a relay switch - the larger relay could be anything I suppose. Hope that helps but I would read the manual or email the supplier for sure. Thanks for watching and hi from Canada!
I installed the wireless remote yesterday. (Inspired by your video). I noticed a 1/2 second delay on the solenoid when using the wireless remote. So if you tap ‘in’ or ‘out’, the line runs about 6”. No way to tap and get just an inch of winch travel. That a not a huge deal when you’re 40 feet out but if you’re snuggling the snap hook against the fairlead you have to be real careful so as not to pull it in too tight. I have a superwinch 3500 and actually bent the fairlead back abit! I noticed similar comments on the Amazon site. Like your vids btw. FYI. Al
Hi, sweet video, could we get an update on product? and it look like you have 5 wire, could i rig it on my 3 wire winch ? and how far could you go befor it stoped working?
The 5 wire is for the power (+ve, ground, 3 control wires) so yes it will work fine. I fond it works quite a distance, beyond my 50 ft of winch cable. Cheap and still going strong!
Does the winch work without the remote? Just check that the in & out connectors (low voltage) of the contractor are showing voltage when you press the remote.
I didn't go into details as each installation is different. And not to sound awful but if you are unclear about the 4 wires, you might be best to have a friend or professional help you.
No offence but its 2 wires you need to connect to the contactor. I spent more time on showing the unit to clarify the unit wiring and what came with it as this was difficult to understand before purchasing it from Amazon. I plan to do a full winch install video including the remote soon.
To be honest the instructions are good - all you are connecting is +ve, ground and the two poles of the winch contactor. Really not that much to explain :/
My apologies - +ve is short for positive, ground is the negative terminal of the battery or -ve. On the contactor there is an IN and an OUT connector. The 2 other wires connect to these points. Perhaps I should do a step by step guide if you feel it would be useful. Regards Michael

Hey, thanks for the video.
I ordered the remote, same one, installed easy as you said.
Works great.
Thanks again .
No problem - I just fitted another one to my Argo. For $20 you can't go wrong!
Thank you for this!....The cForce remote is like 179$...great vid!
Glad it helped!
Thanks for this. Did you wire the controller white wire with the blue wire atop the solenoid?
How well did the small remote work?
Mine came with that only, not the larger remote.
Checking in to see if your winch remote still works. I havnt used mine much, we end up using tow straps most of the time.

Sure thing - I think this is the updated version! amzn.to/3s0ueUY
Do you have another link? Says it's unavailable
I would of like to see where the wires were connected to the solenoid. My instructions sheet was very clear...
I'm planning on a better video - it's just finding the time.
Sweet video! Keep up the pace and stay active!
Many Thanks ;)
+Santhkanaal Thanks for watching!
The Emporium : No problem.
Actually I also make video's.
I would love if you check them out :)
+Santhkanaal Sure, i'll take a look.
The Emporium Thank you so much,
I hope your gonna be a subcriber on Santhkanaal ;)
How does the winch stop when the cable is fully pulled in, and you still press the button?
Is it safe?
Thanks.
Most winches don't have an auto stop function - This is pretty normal. I've seen it on a warn winch once, thats all.
Great info thanx! I have the same winch on my rzr, but like u I thought superwinch remote was " IS " way over priced!!
Yea - it was crazy priced! This one works fine - no issues yet and over a year of use.

Thanks... I'm not the brightest bulb to start..since I've gotten older..someone has installed a dimmer switch
Hey we all have our skills - I'm not super great at lots of things - I'll try and get this done this week :)

The Emporium tks allot for the feed back !!!
If we use this together with another remote controller at a same time (same product) will it works fine? Or it will disturbing each others?
I think they are paired so shouldn't interfere. To be sure I have emailed the manufacturer as I'm curious too! I'll let you know!
The Emporium thx for your help
I got this response from Amazon - ""Each one is controlled Individually they do not use the same code"" So I guess you will be ok.
I was wondering did you go straight to the battery. I’m getting a clicking noise but no operation
Does the winch work without the remote? Just check that the in & out connectors (low voltage) of the contractor are showing voltage when you press the remote.
The Emporium Outdoors yea he winch works
Just check the output of the remote with a volt meter - should show if the unit is faulty.
The Emporium Outdoors unit was faulty
Too bad :/
I just bought this but I'm having trouble hooking it up....
Hi Kevin - Im planning on doing an installation video soon.
Pls make video of where to connect the Wires. I currentl have a traveller winch and wanting to install a wireless to it ,, thanks--Bob
Hi Bob - I'll try and get to this video next!
Tony Pineda hi there did u figure out how to install I have the same winch aswell
How is the wireless winch controls holding up?
Still running well - No issues so far and I've used it quite a lot. I tend to use the small key chain remote the most.
Somebody knows how programs other remote on this receiver thanks
I think they are hard coded - It would be simpler to just change the remote and receiver.
@@TheEmporiumOutdoors i just find i need to push the two button and open ignition to program new remote thanks

Unboxes everything in super slow motion. Installs the winch in high speed... Not much of an installation video...

Not much instruction of the installation

I'm not sure I'd say there's not much to explain. Some viewers may not know what +ve is. I'd be one of them.
