    Just watched this whole 3-part series and loved all of it. Putting Andalucia on my list of destinations to ride. I think your tour videos are the best, and I've been watching a lot of them lately, including Richy Vida and Teapotone. Great video editing and amount of commentary.

    On a Thursday evening when there is nothing to watch on TV, RUclips comes up trumps again. The Spanish scenery is a delight to behold. Again always so amazed at the entertainment value of one guy and a camera without the backup that your traditional TV production company would deem necessary and be required to have.

    Great tour, really enjoyed that. I have a recent hero 5 black as my beloved 4 black kicked the bucket. I have exactly the same gripes - who, on earth, product tested that LED? You just cannot see it when you're running in daylight, and several times I have turned mine off thinking I hadn't managed to turn it on in the first place! Andy they still haven't changed it with the 7? The humongous mic adapter works and doubles as a power pack plug in too, but, adds serious weight to my helmet. Sadly, I miss my 4. ...And a Z900RS should cure those shoulders on the curvy bits...

    Oh Mr Flyer! My Apple iMac has finally died half way through this vid, after 12 years of great service! The picture was fine, but I never found the touring vids especially good as the depth of field was never on song. Well, well well!!! I've just unboxed a brand new 27in iMac with 5K retina display. I've logged in to my youtube account & i've clicked where I left when the computer died. It is absolutely insanely good now!! I cannot believe how much better this same vid is on the new machine. I've now got ants in my pants to go back & re-watch all the Norway tour!!! Crikey!!!! I thought I had detail before, but this is insane! Sorry I've forgotten which cam you are using in this vid. Is it the go pro 4 or the 7 ? The vid is brilliant. Im guessing its the 7 because the stability is very good.
    Cheers groover ;-)

    Well TMF that was some tour. I’m off to Portugal this Sept for a week with some of my pals and two of us will get some riding in. However, I would like to fit Torro Ad in too at some stage in the summer. Your enthusiasm’s great even with techno failure and sweaty hands! So overall, what camera would you suggest - it starts to look like the GoPros have had their day? Looking forward to you and the boys’ jolly out there soon! Get back to the UK tomorrow and get my Monster 1200 R delivered early next week. A change in weather would be good in the UK but oh how I wish I could take that bike along the roads that you travelled on this Stress Buster! Yours aye, Alan

    For most Moto Vlogs, I'll watch for a few minutes but I'll usually stop it and go watch something else. ...Boring. Not so with your motorcycle tour. Absolutely beautiful scenery, cracking roads and CAVU weather to boot. Just an Epic ride. Thanks for taking us along and sharing with us. I know I'll never get the chance to go on this ride in Spain so your video is the next best thing.
    ps - Noticed your problems with your Go Pro. I've got the Sony FDR - X3000 Action Camera and so far so good. No problems. I bit pricier but I love the stabilization and the fact that I can plug in my audio feed from my helmet mic directly into the back of the camera. But I hope you get the camera issues sorted out.

    • @TheMissendenFlyer
      @TheMissendenFlyer  5 лет назад

      Yes I'm quite interested in those Sony's I must admit....might have to get saving my pennies to try one of those out on the helmet. The GoPro picture quality is undeniably very good though....just the form factor and that adaptor!

    What beautiful scenery to ride in. You're a very fortunate man. we had snow and cold (2°C max) the last few days.
    For arthrtis, who doesn't have that at our ages, will improve If you do your exercises and do a regurlaly walk or take the bicycle. Don't overdo it.
    Your gps will automaticaly keeps track of your ride. Load that in Basecamp and take a screen print. Very usable in movies like this.
    The bike will go into a sharp corner If you'll use the back brake in corners. It will stabilize the bike.

    I have the Sony FDR X3000 and, while I think it is brilliant in most respects, turning it on and off with a gloved hand is next to impossible and the red led which indicates that it is recording is invisible in daylight. I have the live view remote and it and the camera consistently drop connections when I'm riding so that's no help either. I'm thinking of sticking one of those clear plastic cabinet door bumpers on the record button to make it easier to detect through a glove. As it is the button is nearly flush with the top of the camera. The image quality and optical stabilization are amazing good though.

    • @TheMissendenFlyer

    U should have more sections with music and no chatter, it's more flowing and provides better viewing and gives the video such a magical lift.
    Chat just before, during and after cities, then run yr upbeat music in the twistees and proper road riding. Hearing someone going on and on constantly isn't everyone's cuppa, even if they'd be interested in the actual content. Just my 2p worth. I have the guts to say it as I did a fair bit of TV production in my days ;-) BTW everyone is complaining on the hero 7. The 4 is the biz :-)

    • @TheMissendenFlyer
      @TheMissendenFlyer  5 лет назад

      Yeah I have the 4 too and I agree. The 7 is technically brilliant but just not good for me and my type of "vlogging". Thanks for the suggestion, personally I don't like too much music and if I see videos with much of it in I switch off - I guess we all have different tastes but point noted!

    TMF - The Hero7 footage is much better than previous. I had similar mic issue and, although not pretty, I loop a rubber band around mic input end of lead, plug in mic, place long remaining part of rubber band around Hero body.....sorted my Hero and no further issues! Great vid as usual too😎

    Considering how much time you spend in Spain, perhaps it's time to take a Spanish language course? The Rosetta Stone courses are superb. The 'J' in Spanish is pronounced like an 'h' and the 'i' like a long 'e', so Jimena is Hēmĕnă (HEE MEN UH) and so on. I'm sure the locals would appreciate any effort you make to speak their language correctly. Who knows, you may end up retiring there....... ◉_◉

    That Sony X3000 will likely be a let down - there is a design/software flaw with my X1000 which I believe affects the X3000 also. The problem is that the mic port is in fact way too "hot"; it amplifies the sound level though an external mic to the point where the sound clips horribly on playback. You might get away with the mic being located in your helmet but I suspect any wind noise would make the sound unusable. Try before you buy if possible!

      Oh dear! Thanks for the heads up!

    • @STOPsignforRT
      @STOPsignforRT 5 лет назад +1

      All due respect but I have not encountered this problem (I have the Sony X3000). I have also watched many other moto vloggers with the same camera and audio setup as I do and the audio in their videos are perfectly fine with no bad clipping in evidence while riding. This issue might have affected the X1000 but it has not affected the newer X3000.

    • @richardthomas6579
      @richardthomas6579 5 лет назад

      @@STOPsignforRT Hi there, thanks for your reply. In my research into the "hot mic" problem, I have come across X3000 owners with the same issue - here are a couple of examples:
      www.dpreview.com/forums/post/60989884
      us.community.sony.com/s/question/0D50B00004ILEyeSAH/sound-level-on-fdr-x3000-with-external-mics?language=en_US
      I'm glad (and absolutely accept) that it's not a universal problem for all units though. Try before you buy would still be solid advice I believe.
