This is a truly amazing piece of work, a masterpiece in fact. It really illustrates many things as well as the lost railway line and stations which are fascinating to see. For example it really shows the scope of our rail network then and the large scale butchering that took place in the latter half of the 20th century. It is also staggering to see the urban and industrial development that has gobbled up so much farmland and how not just cities but small villages have expanded. I shall need to watch this several times to get the best from it as there is so much to take in. I have subscribed, thank you.
Utterly brilliantand although long gone the amount of road alignments and tree line that you can still find to pick put the line is amazing, never even knew it went through the front entrance of Odeon cinema!
Hell, that must have taken so much work. Fantastic! Yes it is brilliant. But with the way round route you can easily tell why it failed to attract passengers. I so enjoyed that! Thanks!
Pure magic. Many thanks for some very happy memories of parts of that line. Mine from Victoria station to Derby Friargate (via the Pinxton branch as well) as not that old!
Great work, we come from Stanley and my mum used to go to a girls school in frairgate, she often told me about the train she used to catch from Stanley to Frairgate Derby. i grew up in stanley and used to play on the dissused line and walk up the Morley tunnel, i believe thats been closed off now, but thought I might take my wife for hike up there and see what still remains?
That's amazing all the work you've put into this animation. Thanks 👍
Thanks feel free to share and I'll make more videos 😊 🚂
