I heard companies actually use nonsensically small serving sizes so they can avoid listing ingredients which people may find unethical or not safe or whatever other reason. If the quantity of the ingredient in the food is small enough per serving size it is not required to be listed in the ingredients information... not sure if true or not but i can see this being completely real
in some countries, food manufacturers are allowed to not list certain ingredients in the ingredients list if they take up less than a certain percentage in one serving so that's why one serving is made to be so small

Additionally, I think following the recommended serving suggestion will just cause you to eat way too little and that doesn't sound healthy at all.
