    Just yesterday I happened to see a short video from Neoeco where they recommend to tighten the nozzle cap with the wrench to prevent air leaking.
    I'm so glad that you just showed that it's enough to tighten it by hand! Honestly, I don't like to tighten ANYTHING on an airbrush with a wrench. If the tiny nozzles from most types were a bit bigger I would tighten them by hand too.
    I'm thinking of buying one of these. Thanks for the information!

    I ordered the red one last night while I was watching your video. It was delivered at 2:30 today. I only do 1/72 scale WWII aircraft. I don't have room for anything larger, If it is a 1/72 seaplane or floatplane I will build it. I have 2 patriot 105's with another one on the way. I will play with this new red one for a while and then it is going to be my primer, clear cote (Pledge), matt cote airbrush. I also ordered the extra needlr nozzel set but it will not be in delivered until May 14 - Jun 7. I never miss your video's. Thank you for your effort.

    I was just thinking about rebuilding my air brushes. After seeing this video I bought 2 Neoeco - 1 red and 1 black. How could I not or better yet why wouldn’t I. Between the performance and the equipment offering it’s a no brainer. I also appreciate the heads up on the parts offering as well as hey you never know.

    You were absolutely spot-on regarding polishing the needles with Flitz and the Needle Juice. I could not believe how dirty the needles are coming out of the factory. I’ve cleaned a LOT of rifles and pistols, never seen so much “oil” and crud on something as precision as an airbrush.

    Got the airbrush today and tested it along side my Iwata Eclipse. The action seemed a little rough but I hit it with a couple drops if Iwata lube, worked the action a few times and that really improved the action. When I sprayed, I got exactly the same quality of line as my Iwata but I didn't have any clogging issues at all, but the Iwata clogged a few times, as usual. I messed with the MAC valve and the needle stop and I really like both features. this is a hell of a lot of airbrush for $39.00, and I'll probably get the red one in the future.

I stopped by the Clarksville hobby Depot this afternoon as well after seeing them linked here, I didn't even know they had opened. Great shop, very knowledgeable owner that took the time to talk and explain about different products. Thank you for 2 great recommendations, very happy to have found both! Thank you so much for your review of this tool, it has completely changed my journey. I stayed away from traditional airbrushes because of cost and I thought I didn't need a "full on" airbrush. I'm doing stencil work and I tried used a single action gravity feed gun with acrylic paints. I got my NEOECO SJ83 today and it's like night and day, compared to the single action. I got the single action because I have arthritis and it's just easier to use with a pistol grip, but the single action was nothing but trouble, constantly jamming no matter how thin the paint was or what I cut the paint with or how much flow improver I used, I tried different PSIs, everything I could think of and most everything I saw in videos. Everything went from disappointing and troublesome to effortless with beautiful results for the same price as the single action. I got the traditional nozzle by mistake, I really wanted the new nozzle gun, but the traditional nozzle works great. I might get the new nozzle gun after I use this one for awhile, but for now I'm one happy camper! Thanks again!

    Just order this and hope it arrives soon. I can't look at my Masters g233 anymore. It sticks everywhere, and no amount of cleaning and lube seems to make the air trigger go smooth. Not to mention that a slight mistake in distance of spraying at 15 PSI or less makes the paint dry by the time it hits the piece.
    All of these issues combined have forced me to remove paint from some piece and do them again. And I'm talking about MG EX Impulse. 😢
    Anyway. I trusted you about Alclad paints, which I love now. So I'm gonna trust you about this airbrush.
    Thanks

    Thanks Rex! You Rock! I have an el-cheepo airbrush like these and I couldn't be happier with it! But the one thing I hate doing is switching over the needles on it because it has the old design where it has the end piece as well as a tiny, and I mean tiny separate sleeve piece for the needle to fit into that is so small it can easily be lost, and I have such big sausage fingers that putting that tiny little piece into the end cover frays my nerves every time I do it because of the possibility of losing it. So I think I might just get myself one of those airbrushes, if for no other reason than the all in one end piece! Thanks again, and You have a great weekend as well!

    Hey I have a quick question. I bought 2 of these new Neoeco air brushes. Love them. I have a problem with one of them that hopefully you might have the answer. Using a .5 st up and the air brush let’s out water/ product when only pushing down NOT pulling back. Very slight but non the less. As you know there are 3 needle set ups, brought the needle up as far as you possible, heck all the fittings in the front. I really don’t want the hassle of returning the brush. Any ideas? Much appreciate.

    I know that companies like Badger, and Iwata make well designed products, but seriously these other brands are making it real hard to want to pay two to three times as much for almost the same quality!
    I have a Master Airbrush and the only complaint I have was noted by someone else is the feel. My Paasche I can feel the paint flow if that makes any sense. Not so much with the Master. Don't get me wrong the master atomizes the paint really well, and I can run it around 15 to 20 PSI which is great. I want to try the Neoco as I think the trigger design is more like I am used to.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but does the new brush not come with the tension controls that were for the paint lever? The original had a brass knurled area where the rear of the brush screwed onto the main body, that I believed controlled the tension of the paint lever. On this model there seems to be a brass beauty ring between the two but no knurling. Did they remove the feature?

    • @68Jaguar420G
      @68Jaguar420G Год назад +7

      Yes that is a weakness all manufacturers seem to have. They provide labelled containers for the two non-installed needles and nozzles but not one for the installed needle so you either have to set them aside loose or get mixed up as to what is in each set of packaging. Even if it this extra packaging cost another dollar I wouldn't mind and lets face it, plastic bits like this cost virtually nothing in the bulk quantities a manufacturer orders.

      Your judgment is correct. With such a low selling price, it may seem to have a high cost-performance ratio, but I believe that their quality is not enough to withstand multiple spray applications. Under frequent use, the disadvantages brought by low cost will soon be exposed. It is a good toy for beginners.

    Just bought a RED one. You can never have enough airbrushes. Only problem is where to store them all. Hard to find a good one with a MAC Valve, 3 size needles, 3 nozzles and 3 cups with accessories at $40. This is unheard of..Great review!

    It still looks like you could get your booth filter another couple of inches inserted but it hangs up on something and doesn't slide all the way in. My Pace booth had this problem when I first got it but it was simple to bend the piece of metal that it was getting hung up on. On the video it looks like you can see a gap in the back, and you can tell by how far the filter sticks out of the frame that it isn't in all the way. Just thinking about your safety!

    If war held off till 44 then the RN will probably be flying something with a Griffon or Centaurus if they haven't started transitioning to a jet design like the Vampire/Venom. Another question is whether, without wartime experience, the UK stays with .303s rather than changing to the 20mm. Also, do they stick with the turreted fighter & if so, will they have developed a low profile turret or will it still be as draggy as the Roc/Defiant?
    An interesting question is whether the RN will still want a 2 setar like the Firefly or whether the fact that everyone else is using single seaters will push them the same way.
    The KM will probably have a couple of Graf Spee operating some Me309 or Ta152 variant if they havent gone the jet route.
    The japanese accepted a lighter structure and lower armour for better performance and their experience in China has tended to confirm that philosophy so I would expect to see them with a lighter weight, very manoeuvrable fighter with the 2500HP engine they started in the early 40s.
    The USN is probably flying Hellcats &/or Bearcats. The F4U doesn't get accepted without the RN experience to show how to use it from a carrier. Maybe if the UK is sharing jet engines the Fireball is coming into service.

    Hi Rex, great fan of your video's from the Netherlands here. After seeing your review I ordered two from Aliexpress in China. One complete set, wich comes with all the extra's PLUS airhose and one airbrush without the extra's. Further an extra 0.5 needle because 0.3 and 0.5 will be most used because my builds are mainly cars and bikes. Will let you know how they perform when I get them.

    • @barbatosrex9473
      @barbatosrex9473  Год назад +2

      0.2 to 0.3mm is for details, anything over 0.3mm is good for primers

      @@barbatosrex9473 I'm assuming that you have three airbrushes in your possession. In your video, you said you would use the updated two with the measurements of 0.3 and 0.5. What will you use the original spray for? I'm considering purchasing all three; I'm a noob to airbrushing. I want to switch quickly between spray types, i.e., details/shadowing, primary painting, and primer/top coat.

    • @barbatosrex9473
      @barbatosrex9473  Год назад +3

      @@michealknight6003 OK, all 3 of them come with a 0.2mm, 0.3mm and a 0.5mm. So if you go with all 3 of them then you will be all set as far as sizes go without switching needlea. The 0.2mm is for details, 0.3mm is for all around spraying like car bodies, aircraft kits and what not. The 0.5mm is perfect for primers and clear coats
      Hope thus helps

    just purchased this for my 10yo daughter who has shown precocious talent as an artist. Ive done a fair share of auto body and paint, so this should be a nice father daughter bonding experience. Started with a set of acrylic paints, and curious if you'd recommend isoprop alcohol as an appropriate thinner for that application, or do I need to purchase some type of other organic solvent (turpentine/acetone). Given her age, I'd rather not have her handle anything too flammable or toxic. Lastly, regarding environmental safety, she has access to a stove fan, but nothing too industrial. How best to handle overspray without purchasing a booth? hi speed fan in the room to circulate the air? thanks
