Thank you FAMU for continuing to hold your musical standards high. The true musicians know the real deal. Y'all can flat out PLAY. It's refreshing to hear complex chords (difficult to tune btw), good tone, voicing, color, and phrasing. There are some spots that need to be isolated and tuned, but the intonation is overall good. On another video, that Georgia On My Mind...really good playing and a VERY FINE ARRANGEMENT!!
I'm almost in tears 😭 looking at this video. I am so HAPPY FAMU....I think it is clear there is a come back happening. 100 you guys have always been my favorite marching band, to me this proves why you are THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!! 💯🙌😭🤩😍
@Derwin Davis Famu is about playing music at all volumes with quality. Not just blowing loud all of the time. Each band has its style and that's famus style....musicianship.
"Houston we have a problem "😉. Although I played football at FAMU, "National Champions" '77 & '78🏈 there was not a day that went by when we wouldn't venture over to "The Patch" after practice to see what the 100 had in store for Saturday. A number of my frats♦️♦️♦️were members in the band also (support). 100 you did us (Alumni) proud 😀. Often imitated never duplicated, there is only 1 "Marching 100". "The BEST Band in the WORLD". Hubba Doc, HC'19🍃🍹❤.
Thanks you'll, I hope we made you "PROUD". That really was a great time on "The Hill" 😀. Hopefully this year's Rattler🐍 team can put it all together, cause it's been a while 😔. They were on their way last year (MEAC Champions), but then they lost their FOCUS. Last year is HISTORY (learn from the mistakes). Another opportunity is PRESENT, they need to make it count as they move through the season. Have "FAITH RATTLER NATION". 🏈🐍😉 #HC'19 #Hubba Doc
#ThePaul641, CLEAN?? You're joking right? Omg, just look at all the crooked lines and spacing issues on the L and R side of the field throughout this show. But that's expected, because FAMU always have spacing issues. It's not the band members fault though. They need to get rid of the Drill Instructor, because that was a hot mess! He need to STOP TRYING to have the band make horses, faces, or anything else for that matter, because they NEVER connect, nor are they ever executed properly. Example, the so called horse front legs suddenly fell off, as it began to move, but then it mysteriously reattached it's legs. HELLO, the audience, and people viewing the show at home can see that. There was nothing clean about that show, so stop it! I suggest you guys leave horses, faces, balls and bats to Ohio State University marching band, because they execute them extremely well. Now, FAMU do deserve an A for sound only, but for as far as precision drills and the show as a whole, they deserve an F, because of all the crooked lines and spacing issues! They looked horrible out there on the field. Btw, I'm not hating, I'm just giving TRUTHFUL FACTS! I love ALL our HBCU marching bands period!
It's clear now that all this band really needed was the right motivation to push themselves beyond their potential......if they look and sound like this on their FIRST show with only TWO weeks to prepare EVERYTHING they did tonight....as long as they build on that energy .....this season is gonna be something SERIOUS.....HUBBA 100... ETHER is coming......
@@REPUBLICANSAREBEYONDSTUPIDFAMU never puts their instruments down when it comes to their dance routine so I have to give it to the 100 PV can't dance and play without putting their instruments down or better yet they haven't shown that they can

Hello George Woods. I am an A&T alum and fan. I have got a question for you. What do you think would be the visual effect and overall sound of A&T if the band grew from 20 0 members (present size) to 300 (FAMU, PV A&M and BCU sizes)? I'd like to hear your thoughts. Note: I do want to say for the record that A&T has a great band, particularly in the areas of ballads and music score arrangements.
baruti katembo seems like you were dancing around the fact that FAMU sounded great!! And didn’t want to give credit to them where it was due lol. I see what u were doing there. NC A&T still has a great band though.
I didn't think of it that way i agree with you the ballads and other arrangements just for that one day i want to give the due but A&t hold there own against other bands and they proved that at Honda last year against the 100 and the other swac bands there Jackson st didn't impress me or Grambling
I will always love this band, brings back so many memories from high school. Sonic Boom of the South had a chance to open up for your band back in the mid 90's. I was a Trumpet Player under the direction of the Dr. Charles Smith from Thomas Walter Josey High School in GA. I am still dedicated and in Love with your band, Continued Success and Love 💘

FAMU definitely sounds better than they look. Midway thru, I said "They'll do ANYTHING" then I saw them drop down and do the Ciara during the dance routine, and that confirmed it. Why did they throw in an animation at the end? It's like they took all they favorite things to do and put them all in one show. The Queen B was corny. Whatever each section does before they make the lines across the field was corny. The Cha Cha slide into the Ciara was corny. Only the part where they stood and played was good. The animation? It was just thrown in... why?
The 100 was the only band whose drummers and tubas dance with the whole band!! 😎
