You know after I saw this comment I was like… there was more rain - I took a bunch of particle Fx out because it was choking the switch in the original version. I’m going to go through the game and find all the things that were disabled because “console said no”.
@@MonsterBathGamesInc ah thanks for the reply. I haven't plyed the game yet (I plan to buy it this week) but so far, the only think I didn't liked was the lack of parallax everywhere - this makes a big difference. Other than that, it's a pretty cool game.
Been looking forward to Deathwish Enforcers. Sunset Riders on the Genesis was one of the game that I managed to finish and loved as a kid. I even thought about making one myself, but I'm glad someone else did :D
The game looks good, seems like a very neat title. I do plan to get it eventually. By the way, I think Payday shield maybe might be a reference to Fortune from MGS2.
I'm glad this game is getting more attention. I got it for Switch at launch last year and, at that time it went mostly unnoticed. You could find hardly a couple of reviews. I hope that with this special edition it gets the praise it deserves.
I didn't know rhis game existed untill I saw this video. This game looks amazing. Reminds me and brings me back to the 90's 16 bit era game I played as a kid. This one I need to get for the Switch soI can play local coop at home.
Love this throwback, speaking of which today battlemanics is now on the SNES switch online service, finally a battletoads game on a current Nintendo console in nearly 3 decades.
@@beatemup now if only we could get get a collection of all the battletoads games in that be awesome even the 2020 game, now we just need battletoads and double dragon the ultimate team
Dude, I played the beta a bit and the combat does not looks great. Way too simple, feels like a NES beat 'em up. I stop playing about 2 months ago, let's hope they improve it.
@@beatemup I just love seeing beloved franchises get the beat em up treatment, up next we should be getting toxic crusaders and that looks great, whatever keeps this genre alive is alright with me, I finally finished double dragon gaiden and that was super challenging and awesome, lots more to come.
I don't like the shoot'em up '70 feeling, but good review nonetheless bro. Btw, so you made an exception to this game but the metroidvania that I suggested you to play before eh?😏
Sunset Riders but in the grimey 70's isn't something I knew I wanted until I heard about it- definitely listing this one so I'll remember it when payday comes! I also like how it seems to have some mechanical growth since the original Sunset Riders what with the dodge and how you can use cover, and I do enjoy how the characters have different reactions even to the same thing like how the Pam Grier-character walks out of the room with the girl like she's not even bothered while the white girl (I'm afraid I don't know the refefence there) is blushing, and her face turns green when she smokes the cigarette, and how Roger Moore reacts different to Clint Eastwood when they exit the store, etc etc. But my question here is pretty much the same as with the original Sunset Riders... is there ANY reason one simply shouldn't get the shotgun character with the widest spread and just use them to clear the screen, except for self-inflicted challenge runs?
This one is already out on steam. There's also a console version, but it isn't the special edition. Gaiden DLC is coming, with online multiplayer and a few extras. I don't know the date yet, but I got a hint that the announcement is coming.
Charles Bronson and Clint Eastwood in the same game 😳 ............is this heaven ?
Guns, Thugs and Jugs!!
The game looks so cool! I will buy it this week:)
3:48 the rain has no parallax? It's a bit weird

As a retrogamer i really enjoyed this game. Very recommend because it's a lot of fun. Thanks for the review
Thank you for watching, dude!!!👊
Very glad you covered this or else I'd have never realised that they'd released a Steam version. Thanks!
My pleasure, dude! I hope you enjoy it!!

Very good game, dude!! I highly recommed it especially because it isn't big or take too much time to beat!
Very good review. In my opinion it plays better than Sunset Riders, shooting is more satisfying due to the sound of the gunshot. Good job👍
Fantastic and fair review ! Awesome and well done ! Looking forward to your new channel ! Cheers
Thank you so much, my friend!!

I just absolutely love the look/aesthetic of this game and the music is great too!
Hey man!!! I was talking to the dev about a Neo Geo port! hahahaha This game looks perfect for it!
@@beatemup Yeah, it would actually work pretty well given the Neo-Geo's strengths. The game doesn't do a lot that the NG is bad at that I could see.

Roger Moore James Bond... Maxwell.
We could have gotten a new boss named Albatross (based on Jackal from Day of the Jackal).
Hope this gets a release on Switch
It is already on Nintendo Switch bro.🎉
@@emanueletintori1229 awesome thanks!
The version on the Switch is a little different than this one, lacking a few features.

@emanueletintori1229 dude, unfortunately I don't think so! I didn't get a key from the devs and I am broke as heck this month!😂

Honestly, there's no reason to pick other characters, unless you are playing with more people.
Enemies are pretty cheap, but it's still a lot of fun

It's kind of a shame how good the character sprites are compared to the backgrounds, they simply don't match together.
