Gotta love Cobain in 90. He was on fire. Before the fury. Straight love. I wish they never wooulda blown up, he was an interesting guy and interesting songwriter. All the shit that happened from 93 to his death is whatever. Leeches. Drugs. Fame. His heart was pure, and for a kid in nowhere Tenn he was the topper most of the popper most. The king. I miss him more than I do family. He changed my life along w his band. Not in a MINOR way. But in the best best best way. I saw them once in Birmingham at 14, said hey. He looked great. Like Elvis. He was probably miserable but he was sweet to me. He still matters to me, the music still lives, and my house is always shaking with his brand of total absolute punk rock.
They were grunge. Not punk.
BobTaH oh fuck off, mate
BobTaH people still argue about labels?? lol that's so 15 yrs ago smh
I agree with that.
Kurt was pure. If you take a closer look, most of his songs express his purest feelings. happinesses, sadnesses and whatever he felt were all screamed out
I feel ya man but I must add that I think his upbringing really affected him. He was a sensitive kid that was neglected by both parents . Don’t believe how his mom spins things in montage of heck , he was deeply affected by there parenting, or lack thereof
GODDAMN THE INTRO TO "BLEW" IS HAUNTING!!! REST IN PEACE, KURT COBAIN!!!
best live version of lithium I've heard by far
100% vocal-wise.
The yea, yea yea part is off though
He played the Mosrite Mark V ("Gospel" Variant) for it, Spank Thru, and Breed.
Unless we can get some *official* documentation about it being a "Mark IV," like a photocopy of the original letter that was to the original owner of the guitar, I'm gonna stick to calling it a "Mark V" - most of them (about 800 of them) say "Mosrite the Ventures Mark V model" on the headstock. Kurt just had a rare variant of it, one of maybe 13.
yeah
True
Just when Dave kicks in with the drums on the first song, is all you need to know about how awesome his power is
so cool to hear Dave play the Bleach songs and to see what he does with Chad's parts, but with his own twist of course.
This was Dale Crover on the drums :)
niklebusta No It's Dave
Had to dobbelcheck it, I was wrong :P
niklebusta me too! He has long, long hair and seems fatter. At the beginning we can see his face, and then there's no doubt. Never mind, raw, punk concert. With kicks, spits, guitar hits...
Dave puts Chad's double bass parts onto the toms and his single kick. Like on Neg Creep and School. I have to figure out how the eff he does that.
Wow he’s feeling it soooo hard in this. You can just feel that raw power the energy is unreal here. The audience feels it too
I love the movement of Krist, it such pleasure to see him moving with Kurt’s voice
What a concert! My first ever gig, and only chance to see Nirvana live.
Changed my life in so many ways, and to finally find it recorded on RUclips it's amazing!
Huge thanks to my older brother for letting me tag along, as it still rocks me now I'm an old codger.
Owen Holt-Taylor awesome man! lucky bastard...
coryc0213- I know! I was 'blessed/ very lucky!!
Makes me laugh the amount of t-shirts still being pressed, as I still have an old hole ridden original. Probably worth a mint with Kurt's sweat on it..?
Ah 1990....The year I would’ve liked to have seen Nirvana live.
In my opinion, 1988 was the best year for Nirvana.
Crazy that even RUclips debut is closer to this gig than it is to today.
32:22 Dave is absolutely ripped look at his damn arm, Wow
Wow that was one of the most enjoyable of their shows to watch. Great song list and performance of the songs. This gig had just the right amount of aggression and passiveness, chaos and order, hostility and indifference, shenanigans and British hooliganism. The crowd size was perfect,. All were into it. The year was ripe for Nirvana. It really looks like Kurt had fun and was in his element playing this show. If grunge was an apple tree this performance is among the quintessential ripest of samples.
Nice to see an early version of Lithium.. dave playing a different pattern is cool.
Is it dave or chad ?
Andreas Andreas - It’s definitely Dave. Dave’s first show with Nirvana (North Shore Surf Club) was about two weeks before this particular show, on Oct 10th 1990. Chad’s last show with Nirvana was in mid-May of that same year (sometime between May 10th and May 17th; you’ll have to look that up). In between May and October, they did a short west coast tour of the U.S. with Dale Crover and recorded the _Sliver_ single with Danny Peters. So they basically changed drummers 3 times over the course of 5 months in 1990. And then things started moving REALLY quickly for the band, haha.
Negative Creep has always been the best live song, and it doesn't dissapoint here either. It's a bit quick as well which makes it even better and more brutal. Its like a metal song!
Credit to whoever shot this. They timed a lot of the shots w the songs well.
One of my favorite shows, Nirvana Live at Leeds.
24:18-HIS FUCKING DEBUT CAUGHT HIS ASS AND KURT SPAT ON HIM!NIRVANA THE LEGENDS!
GODDAMN THE INTO TO "BLEW" IS HAUNTING!!! REST IN PEACE, KURT COBAIN!!!
D7 was so raw and full of energy !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hell yeah !
One of the best performances of Negative Creep I've seen.
Great gig. It's funny that all these people stage-diving are probably someone's parents now.
Someone's death
Some may well be grandparents now!
@@tnexus13it’s 1990!? They would have children who are teens. Unlikely to be grandparents yet.
I am fucking mesmerised by this.
this was awesome !!!!!!!!!!!! RIP Kurt!!!!!!!!!!!!
Almost forgot how awesome Spank Thru sounds.
my favorite track in the list scoff
This was the second time I saw them. They played Leeds a year earlier with Chad Channing drumming. Both were brilliant gigs.
what was it like seeing kurt stand his ground
Such a pleasure to watch. Magnificent performance and great record quality. Pure gold
Krist is rocking the "just got done playing golf and didn't have time to change" look.
The transition from Spank to Breed was 👌
Holy. Effing. SCOFF!
fav live preformance of the boYs💔🥀🎸💙
24:18 dude grabs Kurt's butt. in big cheese the next song dude puts his arm around him and hurt pushes him and hits him with his guitar.
Kind of cool that it doesn't turn into a moment, just some quick self defense and keep the music going.
Kurt spit on this bitch..
23:42 Krist wants to make him a croc-en-jambes!!
that spank thru solo is epic & stage dive

Im 34 years old. I got into Nirvana in 1993. But THIS IS THE BEST LIVE NIRVANA I have ever seen!!! Fucking raw! Thanks. Truly.
@Google products No TL;DR version?
Goggle products that’s an essay I do not want to read
At first I thought _”you couldn’t be in to them aged 4. What a hipster poser”_
Then I see your comment is 10 yrs old. So you’re 44 now. Crazy that even RUclips is closer to this gig than today.
This is awesome! Didn't even know they played in Leeds!
At the time,neither did I,or I'd have done almost anything 2go+C them..🎸😋🎤 THIS GIG'S REALLY COOL🎵😎AS USUAL KURT'S SEXY AS EVER😍♥️👍😝
+Real Clobber Magazine They played the year before in October, at The Duchess Of York, supporting Tad on a Sub Pop tour. Only their third gig in the UK. it was awesome. The 1990 gig was better though. L7 and Victims Family supported, which probably paved the way for the raucousness
Increíble, Nirvana en su forma más auténtica. Está época post Bleach y Pre Nevermind es oro puro.
This show rules. So fast! They really had something to prove here.
Holy shit this show sounded ridiculously incredible. Their energy was amazing.
Damn why isn't music that passionate and intense anymore? What's happening to new generations? What will music be like in 20 years? Are we gonna be listening the sound of a man fucking a sheep?
+Davy Grolton What if he's passionately fucking a sheep?
+Danny Colverson lol
Back when Kurt was growing up there wasn't laptops, iphones, playstations, cable or any other distractions. All he had was his guitar. I wonder why music is becoming so stale...
if you want to find good modern music try out the pearl harts, tommyandmary and G.L.O.S.S. cause they are all amazing recent bands! its just that all the good music doesn't get main stream or presented to other enough. tommyandmary dont have anny albums but they havee amazing punk songs! the pearlharts are this amazing grungy styled band that are complete bad asses! G.L.O.S.S. are the best thing ive listened too for a long time
*****
that's great! the pearl harts are one of my favorite bands ever. check them out first. ill check out those bands as well that you sent
This was when Kurt really started to have fun. Before the dope and Cuntney Love.
THE LEGENDS
24:40 Kurt spit the guy who freacking up him
Doubt if it would have bothered him a great deal. Obviously when his mic was knocked over mid verse he was left a little pissed but he certainly wouldn't have dwelled on it. Stage diving and slam dancing is what one did at a Nirvana gig pre Nevermind.
Oooooh yeeeeeeeeeees. Gooooosebumps. Aaaaaaaahhhhh😍😍😍
awesome show so cool to dave findin his way & gettin his chops down. Eventually just movin that crash over to do his signature double crash smash ! #awesome
this was the first time i saw the band and the first time i ever saw a crowd where everybody was full on into it.....the band could handle a bunch of fuckwit stagedivers by themselves cos every show was like this then....can remember all this like it was yesterday..fucking mental..esp love buzz and Kris cracking us up right at the end with the "YER GONNA HAVE TO TYPE WITH A STICK IN YER MOUTH" all the time a stage diver was lying sparked out on the deck with blood coming out of his ear...turned out he was fine...the Who recorded Live at Leeds here i think so it's the fucking best i could see this again too... nice one to the uploader cos that was one killer night..NEVER thought i would see this again
Infinityelves this is great!! Have you took pictures or taped Nirvana? Or atleast know someone who might have done it? I know this concert is taped, but it'd be very nice to find more recordings. Thank you!
wow you luckY...i was sooo young. .
+Infinityelves I was one of those fuckwit stage divers! I was only 16 and stagediving was the most fun thing ever at that time.
+djpedestrian hahaha sorry man as long as you didnt hurt yourself like...i was a very mature 20 at the time hahaaa so had packed in launching myself head first into what usually turned out to be the floor.. ..WHAT A MENTAL SHOW THOUGH FUCKING ELL...you were there and that is cool cos it was proper amazing
+djpedestrian +Infinityelves it'd be nice if you guys could track down some people who might have another recording + pictures from this show, or any other Nirvana show that isn't circulating. Thanks!
es el mejor concierto hasta ahora que visto... demasiado brutal!!!!
At this stage it is easily noticeable that Ghrol has made an ENORMOUS difference with his precision and powerful drumming he is the Engine of Nirvana aka Ferrari to Channings Fiat :P
absolutely my friend, grohl just changed whole sound . more powerful & punk. absolute animal dave was.
I agree, but I think they had a harder time writing tunes w him. from what I understand Nevermind was more or less written with Chad. IMO Dave isn't the best song writer, just a solid musician.
Very bored with the Coronavirus lockdown. Therefore did my own track listing which made my day

Murdered by his wife, so sad...😭😭😭😭
Thank-you for this so much, love it.
31:16 I’m happy they ended up changing the drumming pattern on this part
Best live version of Molly’s lips
Krist only had one bass solo, but he loved that bass solo, you can just tell. Good things.
5:02 Dave stage diving or Dave drumming? Glitch in the Matrix
october 25, 1990 -
Student's Union,
Leeds Polytechnic,
Leeds, Uk
Tony the interpretive dancer, Kurt shoulda kept dude with the band hahahaha!!! Like a mascot.
Krist dancing should be a dance move that people do in parties and concerts (etc. 😂
Almost 29 years have passed and that guy at 57:54 is still looking for his teeth on the floor.
One of their best shows. Fucking tearing it up
Love the British accents yelling "GET OFF THE STAGE DICKHEAD!" and love the banter Krist and Kurt have with the audience.
I love how Krist tries to trip someone while they are stage diving
gold.
It must have been a real workout being in the front rows at some of these concerts, constantly catching stage divers.
there is a bend he does during the chorus of in bloom that is takin out of the studio recording, its fucking fantastic, why take it out?
Big Cheese is such a fucking film itself. People jumping on and off the stage, Kurt experimenting with his vocals and also kicking a guy with the guitar, then Krist telling that fucker to shut up... LOL and I'm sure I missed something.
This is nothing short of sensational!!! I’m amazed at the quality!!
good stuff
This camera is pretty damn good for 1990!
One of the best Nirvana live concerts! Full of energy!
Real cool concert perfomence
Wow. My hero has been to the city im from.
indeed, and it was also a time before gigs became a load of corporate bullshit.
more than once as well!!
Kills me that I'll never see them live
0:36 Blew
25:30
:/
🔥🔥🔥
I fell in his music....
Fukin awesome raw power.
why is the audience so intent on screwing up kurdt? they can't stop bumping and hitting him?? can someone who was there please report :)
+Cetera Noir i was one of the stage divers - it was just one of those things in those days. bands just played through it. it happened a lot more at hardcore gigs. nirvana played the year before in a pub in Leeds and the stage was only about two feet off the floor, so we had to jump off the speakers instead.
cool to hear from you!
+Cetera Noir Because people from Leeds are dickheads.
I think they're just in a literally frenzy. Like not even trying like a lot of people do, they just look off their rockers when the band is delivering it.
if you listen the last thing he says he credits all the people that stage dived
They did Molly's Lips....man i wish there was a video on Nirvana playing son of gun. I know theirs audio recording on the song, but damn awesome show nonetheless
Ótima qualidade*muito bom!!!
5:02 Dave Grohl jumping?
I thought it looked like Dave too.
Holy shit. What the fuck? Then who's playing the drums? hmmmm?
@@tamawilliams8169 That`s some kind of magic trick!!!
Awokawk 😂
Kurt Donald Cobain (Aberdeen, Washington; 20 de febrero de 1967-Seattle, Washington; c. 5 de abril de 1994)
You forgot one part: "murdered by his wife."
De los pocos conciertos en que kurt salía a tocar con playera manga corta para la posteridad
min 1:00:00 BUUUUAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Those dudes were hilarious!!!
🖤
I've never heard Dave sound so human. He must be wasted
24:15 ???? wtf
+pennyroyal tea The teens of the 90s who are today in their 40s and are saying that todaay's kids are fucking stupid and rude...... like they were in the 90s
@@alertecobra27 Lmao.
Lol,Kurt spitted on him
18:09🔥🔥
These were the best shows. Raw Energy from all members, only problem are some of the idiot audience members witnessing Rock history, jumping around, bumping into Kurt (still kicking it and performing passionately) lucky punk bastards. lol
Twas gr8 back then, when u cld actually lean on the stage, etc.Kurt was so hot,so effortlessly cool. BET IM NOT ALONE,WISHING ID MET THEM?😍♥️😋 Did uc @20:55 the red checked shirt guy? I'd have tripped him up for that,if I was Kurt. As he was starting "Floyd the barber"🎸+the asshole knocks his guitar right outta his hands-2me,it looked deliberate😳😡👊
Sorry,the red shirt guy was @22:50-not 20:55!!! 😳🎸😠👊😋
Rock history and fame have nothing to do with anything. All that matter is this rocks.
would have made more sense for kurt and chris to switch places, so kurt could sing in peace and not deal with the douches running into him.
Nirvana 2018
OMG hahaha Big CHeese is hilarious, those guys are bullying Kurt, and he doesn't even say anything.. so that's where his passive aggression comes from lol
Ich glaube da hat er sich am wohlsten gefühlt. Bevor der ganz große Ruhm kam. Mit Spaß bei der Sache, wild, intensiv und ohne Starallüren🎶
Que shooooow
Dance tony
Ah, pre Nevermind. Love it. When Kurt gave a shit. Of all the videos on RUclips of Nirvana, this is probably the most "Nirvana", at least in a live context, they ever sounded. All too easy to forget they were this good.
Also, respect to the legend at 31:47 who shouts "SPEED UP, YOU WANKERS!"
el que salto del escenario es dave grohl
