I just finished watching the episode with Aaron. Very impressive interview.-articulate, well prepared and comfortable. And from his very proud mother, I can tell you that his dedication was ALWAYS perfection. His passion was and is what drove him. I had NO doubt when he drove out of the driveway that he would be successful ( I also knew that Dave Mayhew would keep an eye on him.). It is great that you are sharing with the younger skaters the stories of those "legends" that started it all..
Thanks for being a great parent and giving me someone to look up to while I skated all those years ago. We are like this with our boys as we are moving to Bangkok from Costa Rica so our boys can start skating more! Aaron is still an idol with his current career as an editor. Keep having fun everyone!
Fs 180 to switch front crook on that bench was incredible for the time period, as was the fakie 5.0 fakie tre ender - Snyder was amazing in Fulfill the Dream
When I first moved to SD from Wisconsin I randomly ran into aaron, Brian and Sosa and they let me stay on their couch til I found my own apartment. I later moved back into that pad and aaron was the man, he would always take me on skate missions and show me around San Diego and All over. Such a rad dude 💯
Great hearing stories and seeing footy of skating Madison, that was a fun time! Marbles rails and ledges, Humanities and that whole zone was such a sweet spot.
Years ago on ebay there was bootleg dvds of one of those velodrome contests filmed from the furthest back seats overlooking the whole place and amongst the expected stuff like Willy killing it and Marc Johnson and D Way and everybody. There was also a moment where the announcer was like "next is Tom Penny!....wait where is he? Get him out here!" He was probably chilling in that party van and still came out and skated
Such an amazing episode… ! Really one of my favorite shortys parts and I always wondered what the deal was. Glad I got to enjoy the courthouse because of your help. That didn’t go unnoticed.
This episode was pure GOLD! I had no idea he struggled this much being that good. He is such a sick skater and solid dude! If you could get Justin Case in here, that be sick. Local legend for sure.
Crazy, coincidentally I’ve been watching a lot of Aaron’s parts lately. Looking forward to this interview. Aaron has such great style and trick selection.
Surprised they didn't mention the Big Brother article where a San Diego local watched Snyder trying to land a sw varial flip sw nosegrind for a sequence ad. They were flipping in and sliding a bit but couldn't land it so they just started filming fakie 5-0s and then spliced the photos together to make it look like they landed the sw varial flip nosegrind and used it for an ad.
If every episode was more like this, I'd go back to watching regularly. Frankly, Aaron should be hosting the show. Sidenote: I hung out with Aaron at Visalia skate camp one day after all the other kids had left and he was so nice and cool to me. Him and Pete Lehman. Will always be a fan.
I love his part in Fulfill the Dream. Especially that SONG, so fucking good. I'd love to hear what the story behind that one was, as it's not available *anywhere* except in Aaron's part. And I've done quite a bit of hunting over the years.
I remember hearing stories back in the early 90's about what "these guys from Madison" were doing at "Rotation Station" skatepark and laughing incredulously. Like, "kickflip noseblunts...yeah, right?!".
great interview. it's always so good to hear these stories. a lot of us grew up with Shorty's and everything surrounding it. maybe we could see Jesse Silvey on sometime?
Skated with Aaron in Kelowna British Columbia when he was on a Darkstar tour. he was ripping frontside blunts and I was ripping backside blunts down a hubba at the park. Great day!
Sick history! I skated with Shorty's(year 2000ish) when they came to Louisville Kentucky for a skatepark demo and Me and one of the park krews took them to jcc ledges and Rodrigo Lima tore that ledge up and it was Shorty's guilty video🔥📢 Olson was in the van with clouds of smoke and one of the ams i forget his name was drunk as hell doing switch flip back tail down the ledge ! Crazy night
At long last maybe we can answer the question of the song for his video part in fulfill. How did they pick it and how do I find a good version of it? I’ve been hunting it for yearssssss
This is the number one place on the internet now to ask if anyone here has Aaron‘s Fulfil the Dream track. I did ask him and he told me that he hasn’t. Muska never replied😑
@@billjackson5543 Oh dang that Maple video is a couple years before me will have to peep that Marc Johnson part. Thanks for letting me know (edit: actually 96 nope just never saw that one)
Big fan..style for dayz..and those khakis were the shit..perfect amount of baggyness..and with the grey and blue es muskas man they were sweet..and the black and whites..lol😅miss those old shortys shirts too..cant go wrong!! God I miss those dayz!!
Kids growing up did not care about or treat san Diego different back then.. being on East Coast.. we just knew it was Cali & loved them all. We just thought Osiris & Shorty's or "san Diego" people had more fun skating, with their friends & partying - living life to the fullest.
Watch the recent Dern Bros video, Crob was saying one time they brought a genni and lights at night and the homeless started busting out of the woodworking thinking it was the cops to come kick them out 😂

Has the guest's mother ever commented on her son/daughter's interview before? That's rad.
So cool!
30 years later and you’re still just as supportive ❤

Hell yeah mom! You having your son's back like this is something I never had 😢
Smolik and Aaron’s part were my favorite on fulfill the dream, both parts have aged so well. the style of skating was so ahead of its time.
Same. Aaron's song is so damn good too
Fs 180 to switch front crook on that bench was incredible for the time period, as was the fakie 5.0 fakie tre ender - Snyder was amazing in Fulfill the Dream
We love this guy! 🙌
Keep bringing the shortys crew on the show!!!
U r in for a treat
Snyder was so underrated

I instantly hear his fulfill the dream song in my head 🎵
same. one of the best beats EVER dude!!!
We all hear IT
I worked as an editor alongside Aaron at Rockstar Energy back in 2019. Always a fun dude to be around, Aaron is the man! Great episode!
That 360 flip over the Dana hills high school roof gap was so stylish and years ahead. I can see that burned into my mind to this day.
was switch??
@@forwardforever9178 pretty sure he’s goofy foot so it was regular 360 flip.
@@brokenoutline your right i thought he did it regular. love his style tho!
His part in Tactical manual, super legendary

As a 39 year old from Santa Barbara, Snyder was my first real favorite skater as soon as fulfill the dream came out. Thanks for coming on Snyder man
Get Tricks Or Die Trying is my favorite video. It's criminally underrated.
One of Wisconsin's finest! Rewatch Trouble Shooters.
Underrated video. One of my all time favs. Whole vid is amazing.
Great hearing stories and seeing footy of skating Madison, that was a fun time! Marbles rails and ledges, Humanities and that whole zone was such a sweet spot.
Watched His fullfill the dream part at least 100 times.
Skating and Song got me sooo hyped to skate
The footage to back up that Penny story was great. That kickflip was massive and so stylish.
Can't count how often i wached his part in get tricks or die trying . So good 👏👏👏
SD in the house again!!! Yessss
Snyderman! That Seven steps to heaven part is so good! Crazy that Maple kicked him off after that
Some great stories from him in this episode!
Awesome interview. I remember getting Troubleshooters and watching it to get hyped before skating. One of my favorites. PJ Ladd loved that video too
I loved this episode! I
Honestly I think the whole gang needed to show Aaron more love on-air for his amazing skateboarding.

Was hoping to hear why that song was in his digital part , can anybody tell me ?
The snyd man 🔥🔥
When Fulfill the Dream dropped, Shorty's became the skate worlds version of The Beatles. People lost their minds!
Who else is going to look up old Snyder clips afyer this?
Yeah Guilty had so much potential and blew it hard...its hard to get everything right when its all just winging it
a sny? got damnit jst keeps getting better and better
Daxter Lussier should be the next guest from this gen. Style for days and he still works in skateboarding.
