    The Indian subcontinent and East Africa have had relations before the colonial period. During the British period these relationships were renewed again and continue to date. East Africans were present in India before Mughal era, Mallik Amber and Siddis were from East Africa and have thousands of Afro-Indian descendants still flourishing in regions from Sindh to Canara. This Afro-Indian community is a peaceful one and well respected by their Hindu neighbours in those villages.
    There is a big and successful Indian diaspora in East Africa for a long period. Mombasa and Zanzibar have long attracted Indian businessmen for a very long time.

      How the Siddis treated by the majority of Indians? Are they allowed to own shops, to own businesses, given equal access to health care & employment, or are they marginalised, ill treated, considered subhuman because of the color of their skin.

    • @atulvanaprasthi
      @atulvanaprasthi 5 месяцев назад

      @@inigomulaisho2809 What kind of a question is this? Siddis are one of us. Majority of locals cannot recognise Siddis because they are fully assimilated in the local traditions.
