My hubby is like “do you have to constantly take pics?” But later he’s like “hey do you have any pics of that concert?” Why yes sir I do lol. I’m a big fan of taking pics. One of my faves is a pic of my mom’s hands flipping a tortilla. After we lost her it’s so comforting to see these. ❤❤❤❤
I’m listening to this in the middle of disassembling beds and packing for our move. I stopped and got dressed, put on makeup and jewelry, and put a bow in my hair. And guess what? I feel way better and somehow slightly less stressed. ❤️
My mom always taught me "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" I teach my daughters "If you have something nice to say, say it"
My mom has always been good at taking CANDID photos. So many times we stop and pose for the camera. But especially with kids, it’s so nice to capture them in the moment just doing what they do. Great advice! 😊
Would definitely love more videos like this one. I’m a little lost now and would like more ways to make my life more worthwhile. Really enjoyed some of your list and am going to incorporate it into my routine.
I have two things that I wanted to share. 1. A heated mattress cover is one of my favorite things that I own, especially in the frigid Idaho winters. I can preheat my bed and climb into the cozies bed ever. 2. I made summer playlists that I burned onto CDs when I was younger. Eventually I started making Spotify playlists. Now they are for the whole year and not just the summer. It's a little like a time capsule or journal for each year.
Thumbs up for Enya! 😅 Enya is my morning music. I had a moment a few months back when my 18-year-old son intentionally asked Alexa to play Enya! I was literally like, "I've done good by this child!"😆
As this year draws to a close, I have been thinking about things I want to do in the new year and ways I want to change my life. I loved this video! It's definitely got me thinking. Please do more like this!!
So true! Noticing, appreciating what we have. I get so busy I forget to soak up the good of what surrounds me daily. Thanks for the reminder! Baila Nova is one of my super fave bands! And yeah, is an escape from all the crazy in the world :).
Thank you for the reminder, and encouragement, to slow down and remember that every day is special. You are such a wonderful inspiration, and im so grateful for you 💟
Great tips. You are so right in that the little things are really the big things. I particularly do the “be kind” thing. So easy and it makes people so happy with so little effort! Chanel No. 5 eau de cologne, not the perfume…. Totally different…. For 40 years!
I feel there are too many things out there saying, "Buy me! I will work!" Making habits to use them regularly and having to store them too is something that just ends up building up and causing clutter too. There are a lot of negative things LED can cause, so be careful. There are natural and lovely ways to fight aging such as castor oil. I approve of Enya of course, though. Now that my oldest kids are entering adulthood, while also having a toddler, I find myself really loving being able to look back on all the photos I took of them doing various things. It is so nice. Good post :)
I would call all what you said: taking care of ourselves, being kind to ourselves, enjoying what we have when we want to enjoy these things, being grateful for what we have and have accomplished, keeping memories of our loved ones. I honestly don’t understand the word “romanticizing”, it’s not a novel, it’s real life seen from the heart ♥️. When I watch videos about romanticizing and the creator does things in slow motion, it makes me want to scream because it is staged. Real life is not staged, it’s genuine. Okay, rant over. Obviously, I am the most romantic person on the planet because I do all what you said except for the strange light mask that you showed 😊 I think it’s a minimum if we want to live a happy life.
I hope you read this! By your window and your red chair (I love decorating, so I just envisioned this) What do you think of putting a chaser there and maybe a small shelf / end table - it can be a nice cozy nook, with a candle etc ❤ I think by the window would be super lovely ! Great advice / reminders btw! ❤😊 thank u
I love this video! I have also started to not have anything in my home that we do not use. Life is too short for the unused china or unused glassware. The kids also enjoy having a nice glass to drink out of or a pretty plate. Especially when you are a stay at home mom I feel it is so important to make the place you are at the most joyful for you. The little things in life really to make a big impact!
I'm so grateful I came across this video today ❤️. I'm definitely going to try to slow down and "romanticize" my (and my family's) live(s). Thank you!!
Love this so much! I’m really going to take this to heart and start using my things!! What’s the point of saving them?? You’re absolutely correct! I have brand new clothes I’ve never worn! Because I haven’t “gone anywhere”. I have…but I guess not good enough to warrant the new stuff. Not anymore. And my perfume….I know my husband loves it….why am I not spritzing a little on? What am I saving it for?
Yes to another video like this 🩵 I'd love some "find the joy" tips for homeschooling. I have loved making interactive notebooks with pull outs and cool papers etc when I just had one kid. Now with three and the age range so split (grades 9th, 3rd, and K this year) I have stopped doing them. I need ideas to make things fun and cool. And I need advice on - what if the older son is rolling his eyes and saying - can I go? While the 3rd grader loves it and the Kindergartener has been watching a show for an hour already... I find myself overwhelmed with schedules and "keeping up" so I cancel all the fun things I used to do. I still do read aloud with different voices and I love that. But I just hate science experiments. When they just make a mess or don't work or my kids want it all to be amazing and dramatic and sometimes even the ones that do work correctly aren't booming and busting, they're just "oh ok. Look what happened". Anyway, more videos to bring the life back into life would be something I'd watch. 💙💜🩵
I just went through my "blurry photos" when seeking to clear some phone space. I only ended up deleting a couple because most of the blurry pics were ones that one of my kids took of themselves, a sibling, or me, living normal life. They made me so nostalgic. 😭🥰
My two fav recommendations so far from your channel have been the Walmart camo pants and the bread recipe 🍞! I agree adding some things you enjoy in your life is so important it’s called self care in my house not romantic 🥰 I think that may just be a newer term for self care . Happiness is contagious!
Love this and would fully support another video about it! I love good coffee and recently found an espresso machine at a flea market and have so enjoyed taking the extra time to make myself a special drink each day.
I love all these ideas. I especially love how you place things around your home that you love and makes you happy. Even if no one understands you and your family do and love it, The bookshelf display is beautiful. Are you in a air BNB in the rest of the video?
My nan drank her tea from a china up or mug every day. She said every day you are alive is a special occasion so do something nice for yourself. I use my china cup and saucer inherited from her in honour of that advice.
You mentioned you have several playlists, according to the seasons, or your moods, but I didn’t see any references in your footnotes. Where can I find some of your playlists?

Aww that is so incredibly sweet 🥹❤️ (BTW, my husband says the similar things to me about pictures lol)
I’m listening to this in the middle of disassembling beds and packing for our move. I stopped and got dressed, put on makeup and jewelry, and put a bow in my hair. And guess what? I feel way better and somehow slightly less stressed. ❤️
My mom always taught me "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" I teach my daughters "If you have something nice to say, say it"
My mama used to say the smell thing❤
Being kind even in the face of not so nice, is having grace. We all could practice more grace.
My mom has always been good at taking CANDID photos. So many times we stop and pose for the camera. But especially with kids, it’s so nice to capture them in the moment just doing what they do. Great advice! 😊
I always compliment “the grumpy”. More than half of the time I get an unexpected and adorable response ❤
Would definitely love more videos like this one. I’m a little lost now and would like more ways to make my life more worthwhile. Really enjoyed some of your list and am going to incorporate it into my routine.
Angie where are you?
I was wondering the same. Did she move?
Love this! Yes, more please! 😊

I would love your Spotify playlists! Thanks for the video. 💜
Love this. With a one year old, it has been super hard to add back in things that bring me joy (having a slow morning and a fasted workout)
As this year draws to a close, I have been thinking about things I want to do in the new year and ways I want to change my life. I loved this video! It's definitely got me thinking. Please do more like this!!
Omgggg. The boy and chicken. That is my kind of art. I have a sketch of a goat drinking coffee.
So true! Noticing, appreciating what we have. I get so busy I forget to soak up the good of what surrounds me daily. Thanks for the reminder! Baila Nova is one of my super fave bands! And yeah, is an escape from all the crazy in the world :).
Ok I’ve been listening to Enya since I was a kid. I’m. 90s baby. It’s soo good
Angela, thank you for the reminders to invest in living a joyful and intentional life with the things and activities that bring us happiness. ❤
❤
Would love your playlists! I didn’t see link. Thank you!
Your hair is so lovely!
Thank you for the reminder, and encouragement, to slow down and remember that every day is special.

The Enya/ Nora Jones playlist…. Total YES!!

Superb vlog Angie! Taking time to do all the things you suggested, sure make life worth living. TQVM!!! You look Superb too!
This is great. We should all be having as much joy as possible especially when so many of these things cost practically nothing. Thank you so much!
I hope you read this!

Wonderful video with realistic ideas! Life is too short to not make everyday as special as we can!❤
This video was an amazing reminder, thank you! I would love a part 2!
Yes to more videos on this subject! Love it!

I'm so grateful I came across this video today ❤️. I'm definitely going to try to slow down and "romanticize" my (and my family's) live(s). Thank you!!
Love this! Enjoy the simple pleasures and the slower pace sometimes

So timely as we are coming into the busiest season of the year. Thank you 💗

Liked that your romantizing your life list isn't just ego centric or dressing up like you're June Cleaver like I see from others.
