Great videos!!!
Thank you! Appreciate the support!
This first episode was really interesting and soo informative! Sounds to me like the people at the FL Springs Council are doing some incredibly important work. I hope they're able to protect the Springs for a long time to come.
It's been a while since I've watched this episode so please forgive me for generalizing. There are two things that you talked about with Ryan that stood out to me:
1) People are rather trying to repair/fix things that have already gone wrong instead of taking proactive measures and preventing something before it happens. I've experienced this with a lot of different topics throughout life and it's kind of sad to hear that it's also the case concerning the Florida Springs.
2) Legislators/people in charge of making the rules for something are almost always those who have never worked in that area. And that kind of really suc*s because they make up rules and regulations and working people somehow have to cope, e.g. without enough time or money or resources on their hands.
Last but not least I'd like to thank you for mentioning septic tanks! I've heard that term before in the context of houses but didn't know what they are. But after this episode I translated it and now it's clear to me (we had septic tanks throughout Germany as well but nowadays they're forbidden).
You always bring so much insight to your comments and I really appreciate that!! I didn’t know that septic takes are illegal in Germany! The springs definitely do not get enough protection like they should. Legislators making laws on things they don’t understand, lots of threats to the groundwater, lack of education on topics, etc. it’s very sad
Haven’t been able to get on my u tube
Good to have you back!!
