Also obligatory: "ナイト・オブ・ナイツ" - Night of Nights (aka Flowering Nights remixed) would make for a great metal track as well.
Damn, this is perfect! I've listened to a hell of a lot of Necrofantasia covers, but as good as they are, a lot seem to be missing something from the original. I think this pretty much gets it, the kind of feeling I'd imagine Yukari to have behind her- Majestic but powerful.
Finally, someone else who gets the amazing tunes from this series. The remixes for these tracks are so on point, and you really should keep at it EB! (maybe sometime in the future, you should consider doing Magus Night from GFW)

Tohou is one of those thing where once you've gone through bullet hell no matter how much content you find yourself dipping in out of it is never too much to handle. if you do more Tohou or not that is up to you I won't attempt to sway one way or the other but this is good stuff. If you're thinking the music's starting to sound a bit similar, maybe try an earlier boss theme (something like Tiny Tiny Clever Commander or September Pumpkin), or a stage theme (plenty of good options to choose from here) or even something from one of ZUN's CDs (I would be so damn happy to hear you do, say, Dr Latency's Sleepless Eyes). A lot of the tracks have a certain 'feel' to them depending on where in the game you are, and many of the more popular ones are either final or extra boss themes, which might explain what you're feeling.
So happy that you're posting Touhou songs now! If I may recommend either Extend Ash-Hourai Victim or Even Alice Margatroid's Theme " Doll Judgement" Both excellent and upbeat songs. Native Faith is also a solid choice! Keep up the good work!
