Hey mate. Wondering if you can help me out on a brake issue. A new brake master cylinder was installed in my 40 prior to purchasing it, and all was good with the brakes. Then I noticed a weeping at the cup seals, so I replaced the seals and then the brakes felt they were not all braking equally. So I bled the brakes and then my troubles started. The brake pedal goes slightly hard at halfway to the floor then drops to the floor with a hiss under the dash. I'm thinking maybe a return valve in the booster of something like that but why did it happen after bleeding? Any ideas? Thanks for. great channel. MGW - Prince Edward Island - Canada
Hey mate, I’ve gotten to installing the cable and I’ve noticed form backing plate to backing plate the new cable rubs against the rear shocks, is this the same for yours?
hey mate you shouldn't use moly grease on wheel bearings i know this might sound dumb but it actually too slippery for wheel bearings. moly grease on cars or 4wd's should only be used on cv joints and swivel hub bearings. the best wheel bearing grease i have found is made by timken gr224 is the part number. moly grease is known to become corrosive
I appreciate the work and guidance
Thanks for everything ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for your support of the Channel mate.
Awesome as Jason .. went out with my 4x4 club today & broke a cv & got up a big hill with ruts in 2wheel drive
Bugger about the CV, but great work on Conquering the hill in 2 wheel drive!
@@40ChannelCruiser thanks mate .. had the group all watching me 👍🍺

Yes mate, only just.
Does the cable rub against the shocks when the cable is pulled???

You wouldn't know that part number for the cable?
Hi John, I just asked the auto store to order in a Vdj 79 series Handbrake cable. Hope this helps
