One thing the remake made extremely viable in this game was the bullet penetration… there are ALOT of enemies with body armor, helmets and shields…. The punisher is actually very good in this game and LE5

I’m not complaining about the new aiming (Do miss the Laser) but it’s all just new me in the series & I’m excited to play the remake knowing that I come from Original RE4 which played a major role in my childhood.
This game has some of the best gun sounds in a video game. Every gun has a satisfying sound and feels punchy. Capcom nailed the sound effects in this. Good sound design is underrated.
I hated the CQBR in RE3 because it used a 5.56x45 round and barely did any damage. Carlo’s pistol did more damage and I think it was a 9x18 round in there.
I'm assuming the reason why the QCBR is in first person is because it's considered a sniper rifle? Because all the sniper rifles shoot .223 in Resident Evil 4.
I hope they add the handcanon to the game when they release the mercenaries, as a reward for getting all maps s-ranked with all characters, just like in the original.

Quite a bit of the classic weapons got downgrades, lower firepower, slower rates of fire, lower capacities, so unfortunate. I still love this remake though.
It sucks killer7 has its engravings erased, they referenced the 2005 game. Silver lining it is the only weapon that literally brings back the laser sights.
I think that's to balance weapons and to make them all feel viable in their own way. Before you could just get the Red 9 and not have to worry about getting any other pistol but now they all feel pretty useful.
@@SolProxy Nah, Red9 is still broken. Once you get the Exclusive, it's a breeze, since you can just casually pop enemy legs with 4 shots and suplex or kick them after 2 shots to the leg.

The Handcannon is unlockable by getting an S+ (less than 15 saves without bonus weapons) on Professional NG under 5 hours. Chicago Typewriter (now named Chicago Sweeper) is unlockable by getting an S+ on Professional NG+. Infinite Launcher is unlockable by beating the game once, which will have it appear on the Merchant's shop.

Skull Shaker is much harder to use than other shotguns because you shoot in Hip-fire like Striker, not shoulder fire like W-870 and Riot Gun. The main advantage of Skull Shaker is extremely powerful and send lots of them flying in short distance but only held 2 ammo (6 on maxed) and widespread means not suitable for medium range shot. Sentinel Nine is Starter handgun with more ammo capacity but it lack power and fire rate despite it have same exclusive effects (5x Headshot Chance) There are lots of weapons in RE4 Remake like RE5 did, but they tuned down the capacity and firepower to make some guns not overly broken like 100-round Striker or 250-round TMP where you can store ammo without any inventory management issue.
Sooooo.... The western custom M37 from the original RE3 doesn't appear in the remake. Then it shows off in RE4 remake again (with the name skull shaker), but it didn't appear in the original RE4. Ok Capcom, now I realised how you bullied RE3 fans (Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of a new shotgun in RE4)
1:49 I'm kind of disappointed that they didn't include the "clack" sound the Striker used to do in the original game, as the Armsel Striker does a clicking noise after firing when the trigger is released, because the cylinder only spins after firing or by subtly pressing the trigger. A detail not really expected from a 2004 game, and in a very obscure firearm. Other than that, CAPCOM did a great job with the sound design in this game.
One thing I always hated about RE VII and Village is that even when they are FPS there is no aim down sights. Good to see they put it here. Hopefully if we get another FPS oriented game they will put it this time 😢

Ah yes, I remember when the original RE4 only had the Handgun, TMP, Shotgun and Broken Butterfly. It definitely didn't have these sillily-named weapons such as Punisher, Red9, Blacktail, Riot Gun, Striker, Rifle, Stingray/Rifle (Semi-Auto) or Killer7! They absolutely NEVER existed!

I don't like how they made Leon more inexperienced in the remake, he often gets frustrated when he ends ammos or when too enemies shows up. Original Leon was ice cold and focused during his mission in RE 4 cause like he says in RE 6 after what he went through in Raccoon City everything else seems like a walk in the park for him. Plus he showed how trained he was by always keeping his cool. This Leon is too similar to the RE 2 remake instead like he still needs to "grow up" while the original RE 4 Leon was in his best form mentally and physically. He also looked more buff at least to me, he looks skinnier in the remake instead...

Biggest prove of this is Jack Krauser, who calls Leon "rookie" all the time because he was changed to be his mentor instead of his one-time partner at Operation Javier. This is significant because in original game, backed by Darkside Chronicles, Krauser called Leon "comrade" because he saw Leon as an equal, and respected him for that.
Honestly think the bolt action rifle and Red 9 had better reload animations in the original game. Bolt Action Rifle doesn't get a stripper clip in this version and the Red 9 they did it in a very boring way.
Partial reload on the Red9 and Leon still empties the entire strip into the gun. Even indie games (CULTIC) did this better. Going for the realistic reload (actually counting the bullets compared to the original) but then forgot about partial reload animations. Pity.

Chicago,Rpg, hand cannon and battle knife all have infinite mod and u can unlock them then finish the whole game with only 1 of them😁

Remake leon is still very much badass and does cool shit
he looks allot more buff in the remake Arms, shoulders and Chest His legs are the same as the OG though.
Biggest prove of this is Jack Krauser, who calls Leon "rookie" all the time because he was changed to be his mentor instead of his one-time partner at Operation Javier. This is significant because in original game, backed by Darkside Chronicles, Krauser called Leon "comrade" because he saw Leon as an equal, and respected him for that.

Honestly think the bolt action rifle and Red 9 had better reload animations in the original game. Bolt Action Rifle doesn't get a stripper clip in this version and the Red 9 they did it in a very boring way.

Partial reload on the Red9 and Leon still empties the entire strip into the gun. Even indie games (CULTIC) did this better. Going for the realistic reload (actually counting the bullets compared to the original) but then forgot about partial reload animations. Pity.
