For 100$ it's definitely worth it. 180$ is a bit too expensive, median is around 140$ you know :)

If the fan kicks in a lot sooner or loud then it’s time to open it up and clean the fan and cooling rail and wipe off the old thermal paste on the cpu and add new paste… Check out the many videos on how to take it apart

I picked up a one s devkit for $375 but it's still activated so it was worth it.
