So happy & excited with your cabin crew series, when I saw your video on my recoms, with no hesitations I clicked and viola, subscribe and ring the bell! The 5 yo in me who dreamt of becoming a flight attendant is alive again, always dreamt of it until I grew up and unfortunately wasnt that blessed with height, probably around 5 ft, so the dream slightly faded away. I am in my last year in engineering now, if given a chance after this, I'd be more than okay to pursue my dream first before practicing my degree. Thank you for being an inspiration, Ms. Kath. all airlines have a standard pay rate for flight attendants tho its a fun job and hoping my girl gets into that kind of field since she got the looks and personality :)

It also obviously depends on what airline you work for and where you are based from. Airlines from the USA pay substantially higher than other airlines. For example, if you work for Asiana, one of the better airlines in all of Asia, you’re average salary is around 4000-5000 dollars a month (basic pay plus hours flown) while if you are based in California, you’re average salary can be as high as 9000-10000 dollars a month. If you are based in another state, the salary can be as low as 5000-6000 dollars a month. So, it really depends on the airline and where you are based.

Other than the benefit of free travel, the wage are very low. Good on you for discussing pay rates, it alway surprises me Filipino's will apply for jobs and never ask the rate of pay. In the West we always ask or discuss remuneration amounts.

nice and frank video. clear explanation on such a nebulous topic as cabin crew salary.
however, with the "new normal" being the covid-19 pandemic, expect a lot of layoffs from the air transportation industry. for the foreseeable future, most people will have second thoughts about travel because of the extremely virulent nature of covid-19.
at this point, i'm sure the airline company you're working with has probably started to limit, if not totally suspend, its operations, laying off ground personnel first, then cabin crew next.
suddenly the fantastic salary that cabin crew receive doesn't look that lucrative any more...
