@@NinoMaartenGuitar Well, it depends on if you are in it for the quick cash and quit or end up becoming a senior mama at 70 yrs. old with a major U.S. carrier. I'm just curious if you chose to live in one of the free accommodations, is it a place of your own or do you have to share with other flight attendants. The reason I ask is if you're a flight attendant for any carrier in the US and chose to fly out of a hub city where you don't reside at. It is your responsibility to obtain housing on your own. I'll give one example NYC base. If you're a commuter from UT, TX, CA, OR or anywhere else most flight attendants have crashpads that normally house 6-8 flight attendants that all have bunkbeds to create as much space as possible to lower the rent. As you gain seniority and your income increases you can go to less flight attendants per apartment due to making more money. I forgot to add that most of the crashpads are located in city called Kew Gardens since it's almost exactly the center between jfk and lga since most major US carriers fly out of both airports. No wonder they’re always so happy and serve so well. Emirates, Singapore Airlines and Turkish Airlines are my too three choices. All three offer an incredible business class service including vacuum sealed mattress topper and pillowcases over 180° flat seat. Here in the US, the average salary for flight attendant is about $42,000 per year. Then again at 20% tax bracket, you’re left with only $34,000. Nowhere in the US major cities will you be able to afford a two bedroom apartment in a half decent area and live on $34,000. No wonder while we receive wonderful services offered by the caring foreign flight attendants of the top three airlines, the old grannies of top-notch US airline such as United toss peanuts at us during flights and walk away 🤪. Hi i have another question. what should we do if We dont have significant scenarios From previous job to answers for the questions that recruiters ask so can We narrate a story? ( not just lie something is fascinating😉 )
It doesn’t matter, what is important is the paycheck they receive each month. Basic salary+flying pay + layover allowance + housing allowance (if live out) and transpo allowance.
your accent is so cute ♥ btw i think it's ok as a salary, i mean you also have accomodation, but it's a very stressful job i think, so maybe a little bit more it would be perfect...but idk
Hello :) can I ask u a question real quick ? -do they recruit every year because I know that on the open day I will be working ? -also do you know what happens on the open days? Do they pick more than one person and look at your CV?
My channel tries to tackle "cabin crew" related topics hence, it's not limited to Qatar Airways. But don't worry, there'll be a video soon about QR cabin crew salary 😊
allowances are for your own expenses.Company pays for hotel and depends of the agreement between airline &hotel meals could be included or not.. if not then you use your allowance
as of 2022 Emirates now gives the Per Diem included in the regular paycheck, they no longer give you cash at your hotel layover. I worked for American, the pay in the beginning is SO BAD it's not worth it, UNLESS you are a retired mom who's kids are all in college and your husband makes the main paycheck for the family, that is why so many FA's at American are over 50 years old. Emirates pays for your apartment BUT all U.S. carriers do not do this, you are on your own, SO that is why many FA's have to live with 6 or 8 other people in bunk beds like you are in college. Plus at American Airlines you have to pay for your own uniform which is almost $4000, plus you have to pay Union dues every month. It's terrible, long hours, crazy hours and abusive customers. If you want to travel, love airplanes and don't want to sit behind a desk all day doing paperwork then being an FA is for you. If you need financial security and a good paycheck don't do it, we found out that on our off days if we wanted to catch a flight to Rio or Rome for a few days we couldn't afford food or a hotel when we got there.
Emirate belongs to royal family ( majority share). Royal family also holding big share in.gas supply.. one month a gas supply income will cover one year all flight attendance in case emirate has no.enough money
So, your living expenses are paid for and you get layover spending allowances? You pay for nothing while traveling under the allotments and it is all tax free? Do you pay for electricity and internet in your housing or no? But if you are not a citizen of UAE you do pay taxes? You should add the perk of world traveling that most people pay enormous amounts for, for free. Can you except gifts from frequent fliers?
Fly around the world for 90 hours in month and get only $3000.00. I rent my 2nd house and collect $5000.00 every month. Sometimes, I forget how blessed I am. Thank you for remind me.
@dayswithkay my dear, sorry was about to ask is this money also gets to new trainers!?new joiners how long does it take for them to fly!??will they fly and given an long hour of flying!?
Also if you’re American your income in the Middle East is subject to taxes. While this arrangement works to the benefit of countries who don’t require their citizens to pay income taxes outside of their home country being an American you could take even less home negating the tax free benefit which is appealing for most expats in the Middle East. For an American to make this work you have to basically cut all financial ties to the US but you can not cut the tax man and others like student loan repayment, savings, retirement account since you will have to fund that privately for raining day. There isn’t enough financial incentive for an average American to do this job when you could earn more in the US with similar qualifications at a number of jobs and industries. One thing Emirates and Qatar have going for them is the ability to travel and experience the world. For a young person that’s invaluable and could sway someone to do that for a couple of years. It’s a fantastic benefit.
Let’s compare this airline to Sun Express based in Antalya. Base salary 350 euro, hourly in flight hour salary 4 euro 90 hours equals 360 euro layover 10 euros a day equals 100 euro bonus which is a small percentage of overall sun express revenue earned 60 euro a month. Wait for it… 870 euros a month no housing allowance. Mandatory expense of housing cost on average in Antalya 260 euro for a small room in a shared apartment includes rent electric and internet 870 less 260 equals 610 euro which is $646.00 USD a month this is exactly why sun express laid off 1,200 German based flight attendants in 2021. Bravo Sun Express! Bonus penalty 2000 euro if you leave this job before 6 months of service which would work out to a fine of 353.00 USD a month for six months the worker walks away with 293 USD a month if they work 6 months and leaves 🤪

Hello :) can I ask u a question real quick ?
-do they recruit every year because I know that on the open day I will be working ?
-also do you know what happens on the open days?
Do they pick more than one person and look at your CV?
Love your new hair Kath ❤️
Thought the video would be a breakdown of the Qatar salary seeing that you worked for them and not Emirates? X
My channel tries to tackle "cabin crew" related topics hence, it's not limited to Qatar Airways. But don't worry, there'll be a video soon about QR cabin crew salary 😊
Is it a must that you serve alkohol ? Or you have the right to choose not to serve alkohol ?
Thank you sooo much for this info Ms. Kath.
What? The amount you earn doesn't matter? What a wonderful outlook in life, what a wonderful concept! I love you. 😀😃😄😁

Do you have to use the allowance to pay the hotel or the hotel and meals are paid?
allowances are for your own expenses.Company pays for hotel and depends of the agreement between airline &hotel meals could be included or not.. if not then you use your allowance
@@locospanish78 ty so much
as of 2022 Emirates now gives the Per Diem included in the regular paycheck, they no longer give you cash at your hotel layover.
No matter how you look at it, finance is important. Each services, is not paid with thank you. I think even for an entry level, its peanuts
Can't wait to be an international flight attendant
you certainly make more than a teacher :) Have fun!
Yeeeees I’m soo happy 🙇🏽♀️🙇🏽♀️🙇🏽♀️🙏🏽
I wanted to ask is it 1100 plus 1530? 2630 in full month of work?

Salamat sayo Kath! ❤❤❤
Can you do the same video of etihad airways salary?
Waiting for qatar airways salary. 🥰
Hey kath love your video but does this apply even in SA🇿🇦
Qatar Airline give you the best treatment.#1 service.
Qatar Airline is the best.i hope to fly with it again inshallah
Very nice,, keep safe always on your flight,,
Oh, wow... If you live in the US and pay rent there, and also have a car payment, this won't work... ☹️
The bullying between the staff and supervisors is such a turn off
dont emirates pay for your accomodation in dubai too? plus it is all tax free too correct.
Informative.. Thanks for sharing..👍
This has changed the now get the layovers end of each month within their salary
The way u explain so much complicated.
Who did your eyebrows ? 😁

So they don’t pay per landing?
Yes that is absolutely awesome
Being a flight Attendant is one of the pretigious jobs in town. its pretty nice job and pay high.
Serving coffee all day is not prestigious 😂
Does Emirates have a cut off age during recruitment? What's the oldest FA (in terms of age) who was recruited?
It's my dream, I hope I'll make it some day, people gathering all over the world fir this job makes me the most nervous, moreover I live in a different country and in a normal middle class family, my expectations are really low regarding this
Your hair looks amazing
love your hair colour, stunning.
hi just want to ask. if they told you to wait 3-4 weeks for their email means rejected?
Not necessarily. This is the standard waiting time for them to get back to you to let you know wether you passed or not.
@@DayswithKath hopefully they will tell me no matter what the results is. Coz it’s been 2weeks already 😔
@@DayswithKath i have video interview as lounge supervisor. Do you have any idea what the interview questions will be?
