thank you for these amazing videos! the points are brief yet clear. I'm planning to do acting classes once the pandemic is over. in the meantime, I'm trying to learn as much as i could ❤️

Hello, Actors Academy guy! What are some good websites or apps to search for to find auditions? I'm 12 and don't know how to get an audition because when I use backstage, I need to be 16+.
I was watching you're video on how to become an actor. I was stuck on where you started talking about headshots. What am I supposed to do with the headshots? Do i just hold them in my hands or submit them?!!? And how do I submit them?!!?
You bring headshots into the audition and give it to the casting director (unless specifically noted otherwise). Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any further questions 👍🏼
I have a problem , iam kurdish from Iraq its my dream to become an actress but I dont know how to go to another county to practice there and become actress there iam only 16 but I feel like iam wasting my time in this place where I cant be who I want to be
Hey ! Thank you for your valuable suggestions . But , can you please clear some of my doubts . So , I am an Indian and am planning to start my acting career in London but only way I can go their is through scholarship for higher education . So which path I should choose in London to start my career there . Also anything I can prepare in india to get a valuable job there . Thank you 😊.
hey jus bumped into this comment and without getting into much details i can suggest there are many good teachers here in india where learning will always cost you comparitively less..there is something like masterclass which provides you with academy award winner actors teaching in their classes. go through them try to do their exercises and see how acting as a profession works for you.all in all its a very tough profession financially and doing so in a foreign land could be a monumental challenge. last but not the least most of best paying jobs will go to ppl that look native and looking indian could very well make you typecast for many starting years to come even if successful.
Hii ı need to ask you something could you know if you are good at acting? Like ı know ı can act but sometimes ı feel like ı trick myself ı mean am ı really good at acting or ı feel like it because ı just want to be
Try to get to know a genuine cost of living in LA ..its one of the costliest place even in USA. my suggestion for you would be to learn from good teachers in india..which are many. see which process works for you and keep practicing. unless you want to completely shift to USA then its a different ball game. its tough to find good teachers but they r here in india. also you can check out legit online courses and try to dip your toe and see how it actually feels..dont go all in to USA, that would be my suggestion... btw i am an FTII pune acting passout who is still in industry, doing my time in film industry.this guy's content is sensible, keep following. all the best
Hi ı have a question ı can act drama or comedy but when ı am trying to act a disabled role ı literally cant do it and ı cant imitate anything does that mean ı am a bad actor and what can ı do to improve it
No it doesn’t mean you are a bad actor. Research is another big part of acting. Depending on the role we are working on and our familiarity/connection with it, will define how much practice we will need to put in on it 👍🏼
Man, I have a question. I have been following you for some time. Why do so many actors, especially the non-mainstream Hollywood ones and other country ones, especially Indians, "over-do" it. So many of them are over-acting. How come they don't even realise that acting different roles are just showing different versions of themselves? Surely you're not the only one with this "hidden knowledge" of how to act normally and naturally.
There could be a lot of reasons for this. The first one is listening. Even though someone can tell you “what” something is or “how to” do something. It doesn’t mean everyone will listen. Sometimes it goes in one ear and out the other. Meryl Streep has talked about it before, that we have every character in us and we’re simply playing those different versions of ourselves. Even though she said it, how many truly take it to heart? This is not just in the area of acting, we could find these same examples in other fields (basketball, cooking, literature, etc.). The point is, who will actually hear what she or anyone else is saying and work to implement it into their work. Another reason you may find over acting, is simply because that is what the show calls for. Not every show requires or should be acted 100% realistically. Sometimes it requires us to play our more over exaggerated selves. Or to play ourselves without any worries or problems. Some roles simply won’t work if played seriously. Think of some comedies. As I’ve mentioned before, it depends on the world we are in. Some actors act properly in the worlds they are in, while other actors act in the wrong world. It simply depends. The third reason can be a lack of confidence/skill. The more confident you become and the stronger your skill develops, the better actor you start to form into. When we lack these things, we try to over compensate. We must practice the right way, rather than the wrong ways. This can be hard though, because there are some instructors out there who give bad advice or advice that has not been properly explained to the individual and they then misinterpret what real acting is. Ask someone “what is acting” and you’ll be surprised how many actors have a hard time answering the question. You shouldn’t really have to think about it, you should know the answer so well for yourself that you can answer it. So there are many reasons for this. In terms of your point on Indian actors over acting, it really depends (as it does in every country). I wouldn’t generally all Indians into one box, I actually think there are many great Indian actors. Are there Indian actors who over do it sometimes? Yes of course, but the same could be said about American actors, Australian actors, British actors, etc. there are good, just okay, and bad actors everywhere
