On another RUclips page it implies this is California. I know in Pennsylvania this vehicle would be classified as a motorcycle. You would need a title, registration, plates, and insurance. Also if you notice he is not riding in any traffic. Nice idea, but I don't think it would be practical.
It's in Ventura, California....Between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. I think it's one of the ideal places to live. Beverly Hills is more in the spotlight with richer homes...along with the stresses of city life, like smog, traffic...and higher crime rate...at least close by. Ventura is less in the spotlight, except when Michael Jackson lived around there. The community in this video seems beautiful and relaxing. Two or so towns in Ventura County, were number one or two in the country for having the lowest crime rate. The city of Ventura is about an hour drive from my house, or a 7 hour ride by bicycle....not sure how many hours by using this scooter....Depends on how many extra batteries one can carry.
If hr had to do an emergency brake going down bill and that fast he would be super manning and probably break a lot of bones possibly die. This is a toy not a practical mode of transport.
Yeah. But I still think there is a way to make it more reliable and secure: provide moving at much slower speeds - like, twice or 3 times slower than he actually managed to be moving in the video. Also, in many urban contexts, in terms of mode of transport, moving slower (slower than the guy on the video I mean) but steady, still remains a good strategy - especially if you are able to use extra alternative tracks/ways/paths than those which confine cars.
Compared to a bike, going at SUCH presented speeds, it really doesn't seem like you are able to make any urgency break, without putting yourself and other people at risk. Inercia, and the standing posture doesn't give rider much stability while in motion - think like when you're standing inside a moving bus. Cool alternative stuff, though. Depending on region, city or culture, might be an interesting solution - but slow down.
Beautiful design and it's quiet too. Can't imagine the mileage per charge is longer than a few miles though.
