You kinda remind me of my grandma who unfortunately passed when I was really young. She use to walk me through arts and crafts, and we would do them together… Kinda makes me happy.. just thinking about the few memories I have, so I subscribed for more nostalgic moments, and learning. Thank you.
Wow...I'm so glad you did this tutorial. I just purchased a seal wax kit and had no idea on how to use it. Your channel is amazing and I want to say thank you for sharing your tips, tricks, and ideas with us! Great video...very enjoyable!!!
I just sealed my daughter's wedding invitations, and they turned out beautifully! This was my first try, and I just went for it. It was so much fun! I ordered more seals and peeled off the kids' old crayons to play with color. I'm loving this trend revisited!
I have found when doing wax seals is to make sure you use enough wax. I use 4 or 5 generally but in the beginning when I have a clean spoon I put in 5. Too little wax and not placing the seal exactly in the middle will give uneven results. Also I use a silicone mat that has 1 inch circles. Not 1-1/4 inch circles. Also pour the wax into the center of circle. l leaves about 1/8 edge around with no wax so wax has room to expand and form the rim. Then gently place the stamp in the center of the wax This is howI make wax melts and get fairly good results.
You could also go to dollar store, Walmart, Target, etc. Look thru the baking section. Lots of silicon mats of various sizes and shapes at very cheap prices.
TYFS!! Have had a set for a while and tried to play but didn’t like the results like I thought I would. Definitely gonna try some of your tips and tricks….
You can also use your crafting stamps. Just coat with a clear embossing ink, like Versamark, before putting stamp into hot wax. Have fun experimenting.
Informative video Cathy. I've had a wax seal stamp for a while & was too scared to use it, you've put my worries at ease... going to get that silicone mat to help with the process. Thank you so much for sharing ❤ Enjoy your day ❤
I love the all natural look. The messier the better. Its true to the way the looked when they were used for a purpose.

I was making seals the other day and my seals were definitely not round. Now, I see the trick! I will order one of those nifty silicone mats. Tfs!🥰

Awesome! I will check it out!
I love using wax seals ! I use my heat gun to melt the wax, it’s so much faster and easier . Plus it won’t turn your spoon black 👍🏻
June, Haha… I caught my spoon on fire the other day! 🤦♀️😂💐
@@CathysGardenllc I almost did too! It smells bad

Could you put the candle on something to raise it up for the stand. Maybe some quarters or nickels.
Sue, great idea! 💐🥰
Maybe raise the candle a bit under the “cooker”?
Right it was raised. However I don’t use the burner with a candle and longer. Check out my video about the electric wax melter. 💐🥰
