  • In this video I fabricate and install the upper and lower radius rods, and bolt in the rear trailing arm mounts. Technically, the front suspension is now done. A 1.5" paddle track shows up at the shop, but i'm not sure which machine its going on yet. Enjoy!

You take a 503 Ski-Doo motor punch at 40-over get a little bit bigger carbs like something for 28 mmmm bigger than stock pipe it and clutch kit it you got a really solid and snappy air-cooled engine that will push mow sleds to 110 115 miles an hour you can get some power out of the 503 is if you try pretty reliable power

I love the 503, I think it's a fantastic platform for just messing around in the powder. Super lightweight and they seem pretty torquey. I'd like to get a dual carb set up in this eventually. I already have plans for a tuned pipe, and I'm definitely open to boring the engine. Gotta see how the summer plays out, but I'll definitely be doing more work to this thing in the future.

@@NorthwoodsNoise you can usually find the dual carburetor boot set up pretty cheap if you're going to board over I would definitely try to go with some carbs off of 583 engine definitely if you're going to borrow it and put a tuned pipe on it the only problems I've ever really seen within motors as far as reliability is failure of the oil injection system you can convert it to mix gas though

Would you consider selling the chassis when you're finished?

More than likely after I had some ride time on it. I think I would rather keep this one because it's the first I've made, but If someone wanted one built and didnt want to do it themselves, I'd definitely build another one.
