Interesting to see what lanes there are in Essex. It seems that most lanes in southern England are flat and muddy with some water crossings. Here in Catalonia, there are some of these too with huge mud rutts, but mostly a lot of mountain trails through woods and forests on gravel, stones and rock with some steep slopes an climbs. I think the FL2 is more suited to flat and muddy.

Hi James! Just a simple remark, hoping it doesn't demoralize you as much. Honestly, the music ruined the video. you should have at least mixed it at 40% against 60% of that of the shooting. it is necessary that we can hear the noise and the sound of the wheels when it crosses the muddy passages and also that of the engines. 😉

The only acceptable lanes in Essex are in dunton and canewdon area mate, and they aren’t overly challenging, one in dunton I would not attempt without a winch in winter and mud tyres 😮
any tips on how to keep the differentials from going bad on these? thanks
I have changed the front and read diff oils on mine, although it has minimal impact on longevity of the units. But the Haldex unit is normally overlooked as LR say it is non serviceable item. But other manufacturers with the same unit do service them?!?! I would suggest every 2 years the haldex unit is serviced (service kits are available) with new filter, pump gauze clean and new oil to keep it at its optimum.
Sadly the PTU can be issues as they were manufacture with underrated nose bearing which fail and drone along and can strip splines. No amount of servicing will stop this, but replacement units can be offered with new hardened splines and uprated bearings but come at a premium. Hope that helps.

@@freelander2_greenlaning more videos for sure please. Love seeing what these cars are capable of. Music is good during the transitions of clips, but can’t beat some real engine noise and off-road bumps and bangs!!
