- As part of our continuing series "On the Road," Steve Hartman meets a man who's spent over $10,000 of his own money to buy coffee for cancer patients at Michigan hospitals. And all he wants in return are smiles.

As always Steve you bring us the best part of the news. And as a “graduate” of your Kindness 101 class I’m inspiring 2 church congregations I’m a part of. Both of my pastors, like so many others, have turned to the Internet to hold services. I contacted different people in each to see if I could get them to put out the word to send a thankyou note to our respective pastors thanking them for taking this step to feed their flocks. Thank you for a great idea.
Wish we had more people like this gentleman during these times.

Did anyone else almost freak out at 1:25 when the cups almost fell?
Yeah, but my Favorite part of this video was that the camera operator actually reached out and put his hand IN THE SHOT to catch the coffees. That is unheard of in broadcast news. Naturally, it’s the cameraman on Steve Hartman’s crew.

Nothing like a grande latte without foam to get your day rolling. Although now I buy 2 Venti’s. One regular, 1 skim. Mix them together, cuts down on the fat on the tongue. They say it doesn’t equal 1% milk but I just don’t want to drink the 2%. It’s like drinking cream. Pour the 2 into a jug and you have coffee for the week and don’t have to go out anywhere or wait in a long line!

My cousin has no insurance she and others who are on Medicaid and on Medicaid have to go to the basement of the hospital here for brest cancer and get no social treatment this with good insurance go to the 4th floor and get coffee and snacks and heated blankets so you see yes alive we are different but in the graveyard were all the same

Why? I don’t like coffee. Nothing wrong with that, although I notice that at least two orders were my favorite, hot chocolate.
Ironic, because some types of cancer are exacerbated by the acrylamide in heated plant foods, such as french fries, potato chips, and coffee.
Like buying pizza or milkshake for people with heart disease and arthritis.
No good deed goes unpunished, for the patient.
What in the world does a milkshake have to do with arthritis?
