  • When Carla Wilson, 67, was diagnosed with terminal cancer she was understandably upset. But then her youngest daughter, Robyn, came up with an idea to help make her mother -- and herself -- feel better. Steve Hartman reports on "Operation Choose Joy."

I knew Carla and Robin. Robin is one of my dance teachers and she is so sweet and loving. Now Carla was an angel. She was always so sweet and loving. Im so happy that they did operation choose joy and they made it loving and fun instead of sad and depressing. Love you both!!!! 😇😇😇😘😘

I agree, bad things happen to good people and the bad live on. It makes me so angry at the world. Is there really a god out there? My poor mum got one small cell lung cancer, they can't cure her. It's so sad and it's so hard to deal with as my beautiful mum hasn't had much luck in her life apart from having her children. I'm trying so hard and being positive for my mum. Everyday I won't it to be a happy day filled with love a laughter as that's what me and mum do a lot is laugh.

I feel the same way. I have no faith anymore, I don't believe going to church. There are a lot of people who have lost their faith.

I KNOW this can be done! I had a best friend who did this for and with me...only not nearly to this level! I do know that finding some...any....way to add some outrageous silliness to cancer treatment can make things SO MUCH better! My experience was 15 years ago, and I want so much to share this with all of my friends and remind them of that special friend of mine...But she's just gotten a pretty serious cancer diagnosis, and I simply cannot. But I do promise I will d o all I can from a long distance to make what she is experiencing lighter, brighter by adding some silliness and lightheartedness to her daily life. j
    Thank you for sharing.
