Thanks for a nice simple video, that just shows the process multiple times. Given me lots to think about as I start to learn reloading.

I started reloading 10 years ago with the same Lee press and I too put the primer by hand it’s easier. I still reload with the same press thousands of rounds and it’s a great product. I love the hobby too.

Me too, once you figure out how to use it properly, it’s real simple. It just a hobby for me, it’s very therapeutic for me, I had rotator cuff surgery two years ago. With the price of supplies these days ya don’t want to mess up anything or waste primers or brass. Thank you for the input, and for watching my video. Chris.

You'll get better accuracy when charging if you measure the charge in the case using the case after taring it. Otherwise there might be some powder left in the case when you empty it out into the measuring pan.

That’s what I do now. Just too make sure. Not every round but like every 15-25 rounds I’ll check it. For my own peace of mind.

Great that your puting this out for future reloaders. I just purchased one of these Lee 4 hole Turrets and videos have been coming up on my feed now. Looks like you have the process down well. I try to check my powder loads after 10-20 rounds and have notice its slight changes as the powder level drops when low in the hopper. You show the process well without going into too many details. Not trying to be a know it all but I would only suggest getting a calibration weight closer to what your powder loads are. I have no idea why Lyman would include a 100 Gram weight, when we are typically loading 5-25 Grains. Maybe China wanted too much $ for a 15 gram calibration weight. I do not care if my scale is reading well at massive huge weight levels I will never use. I want to know its accurate at very small weight levels like 5-50 grains. 5 grains =.3 grams / 50 grains = 3.24 grams (100 grams is 1542 grains) 100 grams is crazy for a powder scale check to me. Just a thought to consider. It is so great passing that your passing this on to kids and younger generations. I also believe its important for them in the future.

How do you like that drum powder measure? ( I think you have the Drum type, couldn't really see) I have been thinking about moving to that type of system but not quite sure about it yet. You seem to have a smooth little set up. very nice.

I like it very much. It comes with 2 drums, smaller loads/larger loads. Once you figure out how to use this setup it’s easy. About every 10-20 reloads I’ll check the weight to make sure I’m still on track. That’s just what I do for my own peace of mind.

i noticed you picked up a lubed case, and then a primer does this not damage the primer by contaminating it

Do you clean your brass after everything is assembled since you have them lubed?

Looks like he is just wiping them off when the cartridges come off the press

Yes sir. I wipe them off one at a time after I’m done reloading them.
