My younger son is a land surveying crew chief. They made a few people mad when they escorted a 5'+ timber rattler across a state highway. Later the same summer, on the way to a job they stopped to get a huge snapper out of the road. As the truck stopped with flashers on, they were rear ended by a lady that was DUI (at 9am?) totalling both vehicles. Our crew was fine but the intoxicated lady had a broken collar bone. And the turtle was unhurt.... Somehow

Amazing Snapper! 93 pounds and probably 30+ years old? What an incredible animal! I enjoy the turtle and amphib episodes!

Over the years, the size/age has gone way down among the A-snappers. You don't see nearly as many 50-100 YO snappers as we did in the 1960's.

I watched this yesterday on Greg's channel and guessed 96 so I went over by 2.1 lbs. That kingsnake at the beginning was super nice. I'm so jealous on all the reptiles and amphibians you find. I know you've put blood, sweat, and tears into laying cover and putting hundreds of hours hiking and cruising to get the results you do. The goat of the field herping game! Thanks for the excellent video and I am looking forward to the next one. Catch you on the flip-side (of the tin stack 😉)

Fantastic! Loved Mister Big Unit there; my brother lost the tip of one finger to a much smaller version-- we had a tiny spring in our backyard that drew a lot of turtles and frogs (Panama City area, NW FL) and he just had to pick it up... Nice to see all those Cooters too, I remember catching those as a kid. Pretty little things! All around a great video in a beautiful area.

Great video, always good to see some turtles, two in particular such great animals.
Being from the UK, I am guessing, but presumably a bite from the snapping turtle could do some very serious damage to any finger (or toe) that got too close?
    Thanks for posting.

I hope this isn’t a stupid question, but what did you show that had the spots? At first I thought it was a fawn, but then I thought maybe some other kind of animal (wild hog??). Keep up the great work and I am looking forward to the next video! Take care!!! 😄💙🐬🐊🐍🫶🏼
