Some fun facts about SNAKE FRUITS:
Snakeskin fruit is also known as Salacca and Salak.
Snakeskin fruit grows in clusters at the base of the spines-covered palm
It can grow up to 4 metres high.
Snakeskin fruit is considered to have originated from South Sumatra and southwest Java. It is now widely cultivated in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
The very spiny leaves are also used to construct fences.
Snakeskin fruit has high levels of potassium, thiamine, iron, calcium and vitamin C.
Snakeskin fruit is one of the nutrient-dense fruits: it's excellent for the eyes and improves memory.
