Not sure if it works for wood and plank plots, but with corrugated, if you don't have at every day you'll still get each day's worth of harvest. Eg, potatoes you'll get 2/3 in a harvest if you forget yucca, you can get like 18 from not harvesting, just saves you space in your inventory/raft box racks if you don't need them immediately! Ofc you gotta keep an eye on the water but it's super useful if your scrounging materials from other islands for a house or whatever 😁

Two things I wanted to know.... What happens when you harvest the yucca? Does it grow back, or will you have to plan another yucca fruit, and, if so, how? Also, if you harvest potatoes and they spoil .... can they still be used in the fuel still?
I came looking to find out how long it took in game for the water to deplete and just like others videos of yours, you covered it. New to game on Day 135 Striving and just started farming potatoes for fuel so I can finally get airborne and a motor on the boat. Was scared to leave for too long scavenging cause of plots.

Main question is how do you get PIPI grow it then plant another one? Or is it planted and then you have to go find another one which doesnt make sense to me
So 1 water = 1 game day, so in theory should last for 8 days without needing to be watered. Damn I must have been gone for longer than I thought 😂 had a couple of dead plants and everything else with 1 water left!
Hey DarkJess, I'm pretty sure they don't regrow, I got up to day 50 something and they still hadn't. I think they should though, hopefully the devs will change that. Thanks for watching!

Noticed my potatoes died (before finished growing) when they ran out of water, do you know if once they fully gown they still need water or not until picked?
I’m not sure about potatoes but I know pipi and yucca keep growing even after they are ready, I have only been able to harvest up to 4 but try it yourself, don’t harvest as soon as it looks ready, only harvest when you want it.
I had planted potatoes, and they were ready for harvesting, but after I picked them and put them in a new plot, I didn't know what to do with the plot I got them from, and I'm wondering if I will ever get extra potato yields as I'm not sure what to do with the plot that just has the plant, but no potato 😬 (I'm playing on PS4)
So can you keep getting stuff from it or do you have to keep planting things? Like pipi fruit i get poisoned alot and have to go looking for pipi i think i got them all from all islands so if i plant one will it continue to provide fruit
As far as I’ve learned, I have three plots, one wooden and two corrugated plots. I usually make homebase right next to the shoreline, so that’s where my plots are. One of them is kind of in the water and they filled up on their own shortly after I had planted them. As long as it’s next to the shoreline and in the grass, that’s what seem to have worked for me
@@dean2930 the plants will only grow one at a time, so you pick it as soon as it's ready, then it will grow a new one. If the plant dies you should still find the last one on the ground nearby too. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
@@KeithKay this definitely is not true, try it again for yourself. Let a yucca or pipi sit fully grown for 3 days and you will harvest more than one plant.
The plant that’s been harvested from doesn’t die (of course given it still has water). And takes about 48 hours or so to regrow. Note: to harvest most of the plants you walk up to them and press the ‘pick up/harvest button’. Do not have the garden hoe equipped because with that you can remove plants from the plot! The exception to harvesting is the Yucca plant, since you need a stone tool or an axe (again: NOT the garden hoe) to cut it down so you can pick up the fibrous leaves. First time I ‘harvested’ the Yucca plant I thought it looked dead, this is not the case - they will regrow. What confused me is that they look different - when harvested - from wild Yucca plants.

Ps they work.. sticks = 4 water planks and metal = Don’t bother with stick plots They keep regrowing as long as you keep them with at least 2 waters everyday game day fill them up to at least 1/2 full if it rains they will also collect water if light rain collects 1 water exactly like the water stils Also if they die the fruits will stay useable if you don’t pick them I myself have been growing all of the plants have 4 antidotes 4 aloe salve 4 breath boosts and now waiting for more pipi for shark repellents And 8 full fuel containers of potatoes with a full still with full mash And been eating all the other plants Note use 4-5 yuccas plants to feed the other plants and helps if you stockpile clay bottles as they hold 5 waters
