- A very detailed review of the C7 Audi RS6. What's it like to live with? Where are the buttons? What are the "Quirks and Features" as Doug DeMuro would say? I hope you enjoy some more RS6 content and lots more detail on the car. It's a dream come true to own. Very expensive. Not very reliable. Very loveable though.

I just bought a c7 rs6, 2014 plate and i too never thought id own one!
No air ride but i got the panoramic roof, also mapped to 650hp 800nm torque!!

I have a C7.5, the facelift, in the same colour. I found a RS6 Performance with the carbon pack and the dynamic suspension, but I often wish i found one without the carbon and with air suspension because it would be the greatest tow car in the world.
We have many of the same opinions. I, too, wanted the V10 one after seeing it on Top Gear Australia, where it absolutely destroyed a VE HSV Clubsport Wagon, which is powered by a 6.2L LS3. But then I heard a C7 in a video. Instantly changed my mind, haha.
One quirk on mine, I have a data sim card from a mobile usb modem in mine. It makes the car a mobile WiFi hotspot that you can connect to with your phone, laptop, etc. I haven't put a phone sim card in it before, so I can't speak to what that will do. I connect my phone to the MMI via Bluetooth, and when I use the phone in the car menu to make calls, it dials via my mobile phone.

Another video to cement (in my mind anyway), why I *need* to own one of these before the electric brigade finally get their way and the dino juice guzzlers finally get consigned to the history channels for good. In all seriousness though, I'll definitely be in the market for a C7 next spring when I look to upgrade from my current B8 S4. Thankfully, there are lots of great examples around and most seem to be well documented and looked after by the (usually well heeled) previous owners. It'll definitely be my swan song so no doubt there will be months of acting like a kid on xmas eve and pestering my wife to look along at all my new bookmarked listings from the usual marketplaces. Only november and I'm gibbering already...

I'm glad its not just me that finds the 'special button' and the voice commands to be totally useless.
I also found that the car would automatically play music each time you started it, or forget what volume you had it set to last. So was always startling when turning it on.
I have to just leave the car set to AUX as the input so make sure its quiet.
I like to use the auto-hill-hold, but have found it to be quite jerky when starting off compared to an RS3, which was very smooth. I believe that there's an option for it in VCDS though... amongst other things (close boot on remote press for example!)
But agree, even though its got it's niggles, its still a fantastic car.
I didn't know you could enable the boot closing. I'll have to look for that. Good tip!
@@vPerformance you can also press either left or right on the wheel to stop the bongs :P
I believe that this is also possible to disable with the right tech... as is the stop/start by default.... i think you can set it to 'last setting' mode, rather than 'on at startup'
For long Spotify playlists, I find the "skip forward" shortcut pretty useful

Hi, i liked youre video. I learned some new features. have a a6 allroad c7, but would love to buy a rs6.
In the drive select, top right corner, it says «rise». Can you rise the car if your for example is going offroad? Do you know high above the ground it gets then?
Any idea how high it can get with vcds?
You can rise it but it only moves about 3 or 4cm from low to high.
That colour is stunning. Mine is Silver Grey but doesnt look as impressive
Im not sure why your tailgate wont close on the keyfob - mine does and ive not plugged it into VCDS yet. Also, the rear diffuser that covers your tow bar- mine is constantly threatening to fall off! Ive replaced to clips, via Audi, but ive still had to resort to using sticky back tape to hold it in 😂
Also, if you want Andriod Auto/Apple carplay, its 'fairly' easy to install. Get a unit ordered from Intergrated automotive. UK based company. Reeeeally helpful chaps. Haha also the belt tensioner option has nothing to do with the engine belts 😂 its the seat belt tensioners. I dont think Audi would let you forgot to select this option then have the engine belts constantly slipping...
Lol about the belt tensioners! I can happily report that I never had any saggy seat belts or floppy engine belts. Clearly audi managed to do that much!

Mpg what’s that 😂 you don’t buy a rs6 and worry about fuel it hammers 😂same as any car drive it normal these go into 4 cylinder mode Iv had mine at 40mpg plus at low speeds but boot it like pretty much every use your lucky if you get 10mpg Hope that helps
Funny, I don’t need to take the fob out of my pocket.
Open the doors by touching the handles, wave my foot under the rear the boot opens, very handy when carrying bags of shopping, touch the handles locks the car.
Two buttons to close the boot, the main one shuts the boot, locks the car, folds the mirrors and sets the alarm.
Fob shuts or opens windows and the sunroof.
Is yours the face-lift version by any chance? C7.5?

@@vPerformance there's a lot to love but yea I have heard mixed reviews about the RS6 of this gen , deep pockets for sure but I have heard on the whole they are built pretty well give or take ,
This model extremly cheap in UK. They are around 50000. In norway the cost for this from 2017 around 100000 pounds

That's very true. So hard to use while you are driving, and the voice features are useless!
@@vPerformance is that tow hook optional? Never thought you can tow with the rs6 😅 I’ve got subaru gc8 rs track car, that would be lit! To tow subaru with audi 🤣🤣🤣🤌🏻
That's funny. I towed my subaru to track days with it. Weight limit is only 2100kg but it seems that all cars with air suspension got the tow bar hidden on board.

If it's a happy rottweiler it will remain happy. Plenty of space. Same as a Q7.

@@vPerformance It certainly was. My son is after an RS6 around 2015/16 plate so your vids come in handy for him in what to potentially watch out for.
Nonsense video. I have a Q7 Sport with far more options than an RS6 and after owning 3 models (including the best RS the B5 RS4), I don’t see the use in owning one apart from the performance. By today’s standards, there has to be more to a car than performance.
