Callie is a beast... The note she hit on the bottom I believe was a G2# which is otherworldly for a female singer... Your right she does have a range thats exceptionally wide and she puts me in the mind of a melonie daniels... Both basically can sing from Baritone up to Stratospheric Soprano 👼.... Callie's voice has amore operatic tinge due to her classical background....

Reminds me of Melonie Daniels, Lorraine Stancil, Rachelle Ferrell. If you look up Range in a vocal dictionary you will see these amazing women as a reference

I absolutely love her transition from the lowest part of her range to the highest tessitura. Not many people, even professional singers can do that. She absolutely has command of her voice.
I hear her using her voice as a testimony to communicate to us the pure love that has permiated and embodied her through her journey.

That low note she did at the end is a G#2!! What is crazy about Callie is that when singing classical she sings as a soprano (more of a lyric kind in terms of repertoire as well) and literally stays up there all the time. And then she dives into that low range which she developed over the years and can do a fully projected Bb2. Crazy. Just an incredibly wide and VERY controlled range. The only thing I really wish she did more was that she belted more tbh. I heard her belt up to G5 in some vintage clip but she usually tends to switch past C5.
Whew. I can’t even get down there. My voice was STRUGGLING. 😂
@@jmlegrairstudio Well you DID hit it haha! Don't worry, you should be able to get it with practice tbh. I expanded my lows by like an octave with a few years of practice (everything else sucks so far tho LOL).

Thank you. I enjoyed as usual. I wish you had’ve analyzed the vid where she’s singing this in front of the piano. I love that video, not only for her awesome singing but for her showmanship as well. In Drama and in Choral Society/Choir they always taught us that when you rehearse, you do it as if you’re on stage on opening night, in front of the crowd. I think that video is a perfect example of that! To see how the singer and the pianist complimented each other and gave it there all....just in rehearsal.... is phenomenal!
You and Callie Day would sing a fabulous duet.
Also, to hear the projection of her voice as she rose & fell thru her range. You can hear it resonate differently in the room they’re recording in!

Ugh I love Callie's mixed voice, i actually prefer it her headvoice and lower tones. It's sooo vibrant and girly but still carries some weight.

Hey Jaron! Great content as always. I have a question, though. As a male soprano, how did you overcome the fear of sounding too girly? I find myself tensing and holding back way too often simply because of how I fear others will react. Do I just adopt a "fuck 'em" attitude, or do I start singing countertenor lol
not a male soprano but i’m gonna go with the “fuck em”attitude
Honestly, it sucked growing up with a high voice at times. I got called all kinds of names and made fun of... but luckily I have a GREAT family who let me exactly who I was - and great churches and schools who let me sing what was comfortable without questioning me.
Once I got older, I just stopped caring so much.
So I get it. I used to try to push my voice down or avoid meeting new people because they would make faces at me as soon as I began talking.

How can you find out your vocal range ( voice type) soprano, mezzo soprano , contralto, alto. Love your voice by the way.☺
There are a few ways!
1. If you know keys on the the piano, go to a piano and just test yourself.
2. Go to a vocal coach or someone who knows the voice and music and have them test you.
They key is to make sure that it feels good vocally/physically and that you’re actually hurting the note.

I love that she doesn't try to be anyone else. She is unique... I love How She understands when to switch registers and not pulling chest up too high and how to flip into head voice.
