The fact you have to do all this extra bullshit in mastercam is why i cant stand mastercam. Other softwares, you pick the surface, and the tool follows the edges of the surface. it doesnt have to be this hard. mastercam is supposedly the worlds premier cnc software but i promise you its more of a pain in the ass than anything.

In mastercam 2021 you can edit and reflow your surface :)
But in the previous versions I was also recreating surfaces to get the tool path I wanted
