I just noticed that the equivalent French verbs work exactly the same way. demander, chercher, regarder, écouter, payer. These all take a direct object - no preposition.

How do Spanish people treat you when they find out you can speak Spanish, being a black man? Just Curious… I think it’s great that you are teaching Spanish, which helps Americans learn from an American I believe would give more of an understanding.❤

Great video thanks for the lesson, cleared up some issues for me. Just one question, a situation I have come up against when doing listening exercises is particularly when native Hispanohablantes are talking and that is the issue of contraction and merging! This of course creates, for students, extra issues of understanding the spoken word (Spanish) that few teachers seem to cover. My question is that I think you used one here (Pa'l) which instantly drew my attention, is this a contraction of 'Para el'. It would be great if someone could create a list of examples when this happens and which country one might encounter each / such instance. I guess a big ask! thanks again .

I have a few video recommendations. I will be getting my BA in Spanish in the Spring of 2024; so my Spanish is pretty advanced but I would like more clarity on a few things that would be helpful to others as well.
-Video explaining when to use La & el (pronouns) in a sentence. I've learned from writing 5pg essays in Spanish and reading books that it is not as black and white and it does not always need to accompany the noun.
-Video explaining certain slang/words in Reggaeton such as pa'que, e'lo
If you have a video explaining these can you post the link below?

So Alison Graves has an old RUclips video floating around in cyber space. I would love for you to hear it and get your thoughts on it.
Today was a difficult day, my superiors at work put me down for not knowing judicial words in Spanish. I typically work with civil cases not felony cases. Today was rare.
What is your sweet escape from a hard day of translating?

Question! I want to sign up for the course, but not sure which is the appropriate one for my needs. I grew up in a native Dominican household, and I understand my language but have a difficult time with pronunciation and need to practice speaking in a supportive environment. What would be the best thing for me to sign up for?

    •  Год назад +3

KLK!! Gracias por la pregunta. I would love to help you with this. This is a problem for many of my students who are of Latin Descent. If you don't have much time on your hands, It's a great idea to choose the Busy Body Spanish Bundle.
If you want a full hour of teaching, speaking, and interacting, but DON'T want homework, choose the Standard Spanish Lesson Bundle. If you want all of that, AND practical homework activities, choose the Detailed Spanish lesson Bundle.
Right now there is a 25% discount on ALL bundles, so I recommend that you take advantage of that, as it is ending in a couple weeks!
Espero con ansias verte pronto. 😃
