    Alan in 1969: it's got to be magnetized or something
    Judy in 1995: it's got to be microchips or something

    The acting by Robin Williams is absolutely incredible. You can tell Alan is suffering from PTSD-like symptoms because he spent most of his life (26 years) trapped in a mystical, African Jungle living amongst wild beasts and being hunted by Van Pelt and other predators. Imagine living that long in a jungle and then coming back to civilization and not knowing what you’ll find.

    I think Alan might have had PTSD. I can't imagine what being trapped in a mystical, African Jungle for two and half decades does to someone, especially a kid.

Surely he and Sarah would've worked it out on their own, and made a pact never to talk about it with anyone, even psychologists. And I'm sure they would have the mental strength to fullfill that given that they're adults' minds in their kids' bodies, but still PTSD is no easy matter

      The board game is a very powerful reality warper, it probably altered the outcome of its players actions so it never ends up stuck. Peter rolling a double most likely wasn't luck or chance, it was intentional.

    Jumanji is rigged. Know how I know? Cause of the roll that freed Alan. The game knew the players needed Alan to roll so it would have released him no matter what number they rolled.

      given the phrasing of the message in the Jungle you must wait, I think the game would have just skipped his turn until it said 5 or 8...the two kids would have been MEGA screwed however since they don't know about Sarah or how she was involved in the game afterall they needed Alan to have told them about her

    • @sargon6000

      Peter rolled a double right before it was Sarah's turn, forcing the boy to roll the die again. A player neither the kids had any knowledge of. Yeah, the game will bend reality until it gets what it wants.

    Great movie, but way too much over-reliance on CGI; so many scenes could have been done with practical effects. The monkeys could have been puppets like the gremlins in the Gremlins movies; and the scene of the monkeys walking out of the house could have been stop-motion figures on a small studio set, or even a couple of trained real monkeys.

  • @Cruor34
    @Cruor34 9 дней назад +5

    I never understood in this... like if my friend got sucked in, I'd try to save them, not be a selfish dirtbag like Sara was. But with that said, if they DIDN'T get sucked in, and we just had monkeys or a lion come out, I'd be like "uh yeah, this can't be good, lets stop" I can drop the animals myself (guns) if they don't like spawn right on top of me. Once they leave, meh, police will clean them up in a matter of hours. Why would I keep playing and risk injury/death? Jumanji would need some rule like if start, you have to finish within X time or your heart explodes, or something.

    • @ambassadorbruh1200
      @ambassadorbruh1200 9 дней назад +2

      I feel ya, I’d probably do the same thing. But it is worth mentioning that the creatures inhabiting Jumanji were purposely designed to have exaggerated features to show their uncanny and supernatural nature. The jungle inside is a literal nightmare and many of these unnatural animals seem to be quite durable, if not unkillable (hence why Van Pelt wasn’t injured at all by getting crushed by an aisle of paint cans-something that would’ve flattened ANY regular human). The entire towns police department got overrun by monkeys and a random stampede, which is why the other officers were calling for the national guard over Carls radio. It’s established in the movie that finishing the game is the only way to make these supernatural creatures and strange occurrences disappear. Though the main characters were able to kill some plants and spiders so this may only apply to the larger animals🤷🏾‍♂️

      @@ambassadorbruh1200 Fair enough. I mean it is just a movie, I guess it wouldn't have worked out well if they got Allen back and then looked and the camera and said "Well folks, we got Allen back... we are going to ignore those monkeys and giant mosquitoes and just take the partial win. Have a good night" *End*

      In Sara's defense, she just saw her friend get sucked into a supernatural board game and got attacked by a swarm of supernatural bats. To see things that defy all sense of logic and reason in such a terrifying manner all at once would make anyone at that age run for their lives.

    • @Cruor34
      @Cruor34 7 дней назад

      @@umptischmutz No it wouldn't. I would run at first, yes. Then I would immediately get help. You can call that "internet tough guy" if you like, but some people actually do have some honor and morals. If my parents didn't believe me, I'd take them to the spot where it happened and say "ok if I'm a liar, roll the dice. Hear those drum beats and the house shaking? Think a 14-year-old is faking that?"
      Then in addition, rather than being sorry, she made it all about her. She had it WAY easier than he did, and she tried to compare her life of ease to his life of suffering in the jungle. She is a bad person.
