I chose to go with the gate lok system years ago and it is great, but this is also a genius mounting system and super underrated. I think the dual lock is one of the most innovative designs in the suppressor industry in years.
Ordered one of these! Looking forward to when it gets past the ATF eForm 4 approval stage. Looking forward to more content on this while I await that day.
@GriffinArmamentOfficial I'll post a review of the product when it comes which we're also gonna be testing out the mk2 sbr 11.5 carbine as well you guys make some wicked stuff and stand by your customer and products. You guys have made me a lifelong customer just based on the quality and services 👌🏾 keep up the good work guys!
I'll have to look into one of these or their light weight, no frills successor. Just got my Explorr 22 taper mount stuck to the muzzle break DESPITE generous amounts of anti-seize after only 100 rounds 😔 I guess I now have a 12.25oz direct thead silencer with a built-in blast diverter! Upside to it is now I don't need a separate griffin muzzle device for each rifle!
Any of our DUAL-LOK Flash Hiders work extremely well with the HRT suppressor, aside from the extended 2.75" Flash Suppressor which doesn't pair with the HRT-556
Going to be closer to the Gen 2 Explorr but is actually damn dear the same baffle stack as the Recce 5 can. Those baffles can be seen on the Recce baffle upgrade page on our website
Weight is going to be the most significant difference. This can is basically a DUAL-LOK Recce can. The DUAL-LOK 5 is laser welded & tubeless. While they have very similar baffle tech, the baffle design will be slightly different. They also have different end cap geometries. The DUAL-LOK 5 flow through cap is a bit more dramatic (regarding geometry) but was designed to work in conjunction with the baffle tech to aid in hiding flash better for it's tubeless design. This required much R&D to get it just right. While the HRT-556 end cap geometry (patented design) is more low profile but extremely effective at hiding flash. The low profile end cap geometry was previously associated with the Recce, Paladin, and Gate-LOK series of suppressors. And now the HRT-556 is included in that group.
We will re-core it but you'll have to pay the service fee for a baffle upgrade. Our warranty only covers up to the approximate 50,000 round service life of the suppressor. Normal wear and tear is not covered for free, so after it's service life has exceeded, you will have to pay for the new baffle system.
Do any of these muzzle devices help reduce the flash signature overall? Got my HRT out of jail today but I’m currently a month into waiting for the close tined flash hider. Contemplating getting the tactical compensator for better functionality/availability. Anyone got any experience with either of these muzzle devices?
The Tactical Compensator is a great choice, but you'll get better flash reduction using one of our flash hiders. We suggest looking into the Flash Comp!
@GriffinArmamentOfficial I saw in a product description where you said that 17-4 was actually better than inconel and 2 times stronger than satellite. Is this true? And do you use a different 17-4 than the industry standard? This product description was for one of your silencers on silencershop.
@GriffinArmamentOfficial what are your thoughts on why most people are saying that the other materials are more abrasion resistant and keep structural rigidity at higher temps? Is it more of a marketing thing? Sorry for all the questions. Just genuinely curious because I've always heard the opposite.
17-4 stainless steel has a higher melting point than stellite or inconel. It is also stronger than stellite and inconel. Titanium has a much lower temperature use threshold of

Thanks for the kind words!
Amazing work! Love the Company's constant drive to Innovate and put themselves out there! Really changing the market!
Griffin definitely has changed the game again with this. Just awesome innovation and smooth as hell looking. Christ I want one
You guys put out great, in depth info. I refer people to your suppressor/muzzle device maintenance video when they complain about carbon lock.
Dude. The shirt made the order for me. Based.

Ordered this and Dual Lok 7 for my first 2 cans! Can't wait
HRT comes in 7 days.... f'in stoked.

Just bought my first suppressor and it’s your product. Can’t wait to play with it… in 8-9 months 😭😭😭
Love the Magnum P.I. shirt. I got mine in Maui.
Ok, I need this to work with ARP but can you tuck this under the hand guard and still install? 😅
Can’t wait for the PSR series!
Can you do a review on your dual lok blast shield??

Definitely get in touch with our customer service team, they can provide tips and tricks for getting a stuck can off!
5.9 inches is more than enough length. Get outta here with "only."
🙂
Keep up the great work, GA...
😂😂😁
Loving the Hawaiian vibe. Hashtag me too.
What muzzle device you recommend for the best flash reduction with the hrt? For 10.5 inch barrel.

What do the Gen 4 eco flow baffles look like? Are they similar in appearance to the ones on the Optimus micro, or more like the Gen 2 Explorr series?

Will you guys re-core a suppressor after it's service life has been met and blast baffle has eroded?

@@GriffinArmamentOfficial That's still a fantastic deal. Thanks for the input!
Awesome
Do your dual lok OTB muzzle break and flash hider work with the HRT?
Negative

Sorry if I missed it, but are all the baffles inconel?
Nope, 17-4 stainless steel. The inconel comes from the spring in the mounting collar.

Yes, it is more durable and much more reliable. We use the industry standard H900 heat treated 17-4 Stainless Steel.

Mine has been in jail for 103 days.....can't wait for it to get free!!
These suppressors only run with the muzzles provided? Or can I use it with my surefire warcomp?
Hard no. DUAL-LOK muzzle devices only
@@GriffinArmamentOfficialNo good for the pin & welded rifles
@@andresh16don’t buy a pin and welded rifle…lmao

Mines in federal prison. Maybe one day.
